It had been six months already and Brandon had not visited the therapeutical den. She had even forgotten everything about him. Evan seed nice. He drove her to work every morning and assisted her with mowing lawns and cleaning gutters every last Saturday of the full-moon, but she had yet to make her mind up.

On Monday morning, she dressed up and stood in front of their gate waiting for Evan to pick her up as usual. However, Brandon ca instead and stopped right behind her and slowly wound down.

"My head beta gave a warning strike the last ti you visited my workden. Thank you very much for trying to ruin my reputation! Please, leave alone!"

"I want to talk to you," he said and removed his sunglasses. His ruggedly handso face looked a bit familiar, but he was nothing like the person he was trying to impersonate.

"I’d advise you to stay away from that therapeutic den. There are thousands of healing dens in this city. Please, stay away from mine!" She said loudly, but he did not say anything. He just stood there looking at her, exuding masculinity and looking devastatingly handso. He quickly put his sunglasses back when Evan stopped behind his car. She purposely pulled him in and kissed him again. Brandon took a sharp breath and hopped into his car.

"Wait, are you using to scare him away?" Evan grinned.

"Sort of," she said and entered the car. Evan shook his head with a smile and joined her. Her heart kept skipping as they drove down to her workden.

Her head beta told her to make sure she put smiles on his face and she didn’t know how to do that. She kept offering silent prayers as Evan drove to the therapeutical den where she worked.

It seed her prayers were answered when she alighted and looked around the den. She waved at Evan happily and began to walk towards her duty position. She had wished to be in Brooklyn’s position but instead, her na always appeared in massaging section.

After so hours, one of her colleagues whispered into her ear and she shuddered and slowly turned her head. Brandon sat in his favorite open chamber and crossed his legs as usual.

Her colleagues were all aware of the warning strike the head beta gave her six moons ago. There was a lot of tension everywhere.

"Emma, please, you can do this. You can put a smile on that an face." Brooklyn pleaded. "He is not the first person that has ever pretended to be Oliver and you never treated them harshly. You know how much this job has saved you. You also know how difficult it is to get a new job. Please...."

"Brooklyn, it’s okay, I’m going to try my best."

"Let do it," Kyra, one of her colleagues, patted her shoulder and began to walk towards him. She was still so feet away when Brandon pointed at Emma. She didn’t need anyone to tell her that he didn’t want her to massage him.

"Give a vial of lithos oil," she said to the she-wolf that was behind the counter.

"Emma, listen, there is no way he is going to rape you here, so be his moonally even for a few minutes," the she-wolf behind the counter said after giving her the vial.

"I’ll try."

She dropped the vial on Brandon’s private massaging chamber and sat beside him. Though the chamber isn’t concealed entirely. He pretended he didn’t see her and continued staring at his phone. He tossed the phone aside and fixed his gaze on her, scanning her critically. She relaxed and allowed him to feed his eyes as long as he wanted.

"Emma...."

"Please, don’t say anything," she interrupted, and he swallowed back his words. Sothing happened that she did not even tell her moonally. While she was waiting for him to lie on the massaging bed and relax, she noticed his nearness kindled a weird feeling in her. She felt an invisible warmth wrapping her up. She saw her strength giving way for his to take over. She hated him and herself for that. She hated him more for having a low voice that soothed her soul.

"Emma, I know I shouldn’t have left without seeing you, but..."

"What else did he or she tell you?"

"Who?"

"The person that sent you to ."

"What do you an?" He asked. She ignored his question and continued looking away.

"Emma, you know how much I love you..."

"Please, keep your mouth shut if you don’t want to lose my job today," she said and looked away again. She told him to keep his mouth shut and forgot to tell him to keep his hands in his space. She quickly turned her face when he grabbed her palm slowly.

"I can’t believe you detest now, Emma. Your...."

She lifted the vial of ointnt she hadn’t touched and poured the whole contents on his white pristine shirt and threw the vial at him. The oil spread through his shirt and began to soak into his flesh skin.

"I would do worse than this if you ever ntioned that na again! Bloody imposter!!!!"

So he-wolves ran to him and began to clean him up. Emma ran away from the vicinity entirely before guards even understand what was going on. She knew what awaited her, so she didn’t wait for them to summon her. An email ca in on her phone on her way ho. She checked it, it was a sack letter from the head beta himself.

Tears covered her eyes as she approached their den. She wondered what her father would say to her. She sat behind the gate and was so afraid to go in.

"Emma!" Faith beckoned from her balcony. She stood up and began to walk in the direction of her den. She led her to her sitting chamber and offered her a seat.

"Emma, you shouldn’t have disgraced him!" Faith said after listening to the reason why she was sacked. She chuckled and shook her head.

"This is the fourth ti soone has co to , claiming to be Oliver. None of them knew what I went through each ti they stir up mories that took so many winters to bury.

The second he-wolf that ca to , pretending to be Oliver, looked more like him, but when I asked him questions, the only thing he rembered was our Saturday eting. He didn’t know anything about Springfield territory. He claid he had an accident and so mories were wiped off his brain. I almost believed it, but we had no connection. I later discovered soone sent him and others, but I don’t know who did. I don’t want to believe Lunara sent them because she did not care about enough to want to move on."

"I think your moonmate wants you to move on. Who among your moonally has been advising you to forget about Oliver and move on?"

"I have just a few moonallies, but only Brooklyn knew about Oliver."

"Has she been trying to convince you to move on?"

"Yes, but she can’t do such a thing without telling . I trust Brooklyn with my life. One thing the person forgot is that it’s been seven years already, but I still know what he looks like, the dark mark on his nose, his big stomach. We did a lot of things together and I expect him to rember everything."

"Are you sure the he-wolf you embarrassed today is not him?"

"He is not"

"Did he resemble him?"

"Not even close. This one is another imposter! That is why he wears sunshades even in the morning."

"Oh....that he-wolf that ca here six months ago?"

"Yes"

"He looks like a crook."

"He covers his face all the ti and removes it when he sees ! I think he does not want wolves he has scamd to recognize him."

"What are you going to do now?"

"I’m just going to stay indoors for now and work on my novel."

"Emma, I don’t trust your.... f...family. Wait!!! That must be him, right?" Faith said, looking out through the window. She stood and looked.

"He is the one, right?"

"Yes."

"Let’s go and know what he wants."

"No"

"Emma, you need to stop acting like a pup; you are almost twenty-one already! I hate your impatience! Calm down! You are not the first to ever be in love and you won’t be the last! Stand up, let’s go and talk to him. You need to hear him out!"

She stood up and walked coldly behind Faith. Brandon quickly turned when he saw them coming towards him.

"What do you want from her?" Faith asked with an unsmiling face.

"I want to apologize to her."

"Just that?"

"Yes"

"Alright, do it now and leave at once."

"Emma, I’m very sorry."

"For what?"

"For pretending....to...be soone....else," he sputtered. She gave Faith a did-you-see-that kind of stare. She encouraged her to accept his apology.

"Alright, who are you then?"

"I’m...just... Brandon," he sputtered again, as though he was trying to recall a script he cramd.

"What do you want from ?"

"I want us to be moonmate."

"Who sent you?"

"No one"

"Why did you pretend to be soone I know?"

"I need your attention. Please, I’m sorry."

"Who told you about.... Oliver?" She asked and he kept quiet. "I have forgiven you, but I’ll give you my attention when you tell who sent you and what they tends to achieve. You can go now."

He waved at them, entered his wolf machine, and drove off. Faith and Emma stood still and kept staring at him.

"He is up to sothing."

"Whatever! Emma, I like the way you responded to him. Go back to your den and don’t be scared of anyone," Faith patted her shoulder and walked back to her den. She continued standing, wondering why his voice sent a lot of shivers all over her wolf and the pull, the urge to kiss him,his scent, is sothing undeniable.
