10: Act 3 Undead_3 10: Act 3 Undead_3 Sophie’s heart skipped a beat, and she quickly dropped the curtains.
Damn, he montarily thought he was that Over 130 levels Senior Warrior, completely forgetting that the opponent’s perception and level of stealth were much higher than his own.
This wouldn’t necessarily lead to imdiate discovery, but it would certainly arouse the opponent’s suspicion.
Sure enough, he imdiately heard that guy outside saying, “Alright, get it done quickly.
I feel there might be a living person in that house, check carefully.
For days, I’ve suspected that they have already noticed our plan—”
It’s over.
As soon as they realize Brand’s ‘corpse’ is missing, they will take action imdiately, Sophie thought swiftly.
His mind quickly turned to the door behind the kitchen, but Elson-Golan was a natural pasture, with nowhere nearby to hide.
There’s a small forest down the slope, but in between, there’s a stretch of over 100 ters of open land.
What to do?
“Brand?” Miss rchant looked at him with a questioning gaze.
“Follow .” Sophie gritted his teeth, taking it one step at a ti.
He opened the door, only to see a Corpse Witch and two skeleton soldiers walking into the hall from outside.
The Corpse Witch, clad in a woven robe, imdiately noticed him and Roman—this Undead raised the Bone Staff instantly, but Sophie reacted faster—
Without hesitation, the young man raised his right hand, pointing the ring on his index finger at the enemy, “Oss!”
(Note: Vaunze ancient language, wind.)
He could only pray the ring still worked—
Luckily, Sophie imdiately felt the ring heat up slightly, and the air ahead seed to swell suddenly, followed by a loud crash.
As if a hurricane swept through, the Corpse Witch, along with the two skeleton soldiers and the mansion’s front door, shattered into pieces.
Countless wood chips, stone fragnts, and bone shards expanded outward instantly, then fell down like countless butterflies fluttering in the sky.
In the explosion, five golden light spots flew out from the broken bodies of the Corpse Witch and skeleton soldiers, quickly rging into Sophie’s chest.
All of this happened in the blink of an eye, not even noticed by the young man himself.
However, the blast left only a giant radial pattern on the ground.
Everything fell silent, and Sophie was left stunned and bewildered.
In the ga, Wind Bullet dealt 30 points of Air Elent damage, which was more than enough to kill a lower-level Corpse Witch and skeleton soldiers, but the impact was never this dramatic.
A huge hole appeared in the old mansion’s front door, which was his grandfather’s property, but Sophie wasn’t thinking about trouble now; he imdiately rembered he had to escape.
“Brand, you’re a Wizard!” Roman shouted in surprise from behind.
“No, I’ll explain later.” He took a deep breath, grabbed her hand, and rushed downstairs.
The kitchen was on the first floor; he had to reach it before the enemy reacted.
“Wait, Brand, I can’t keep up with you…!”
“Careful, we’re going downstairs!”
“Ah!”
The sudden explosion made the skeletons outside turn their heads, but lacking intelligence, they only reacted instinctively to the sound.
They remained motionless, passively waiting for the Corpse Witch’s command.
Nearby, the green flas in the Corpse Witch’s eye sockets flickered sharply, and it imdiately raised its Bone Staff, a flicker of fire appearing on the tip.
“Don’t use fire, you fool!” The suddenly appearing Wizard in a black robe grabbed its Bone Staff, cursing through gritted teeth.
The previous explosion surely alerted the Buqi people, and any more fire would just give a warning to the humans in the village.
He imdiately turned back and pointed inside the house, “Soldiers, catch those two!”
With a rustling sound, the skeleton soldiers drew their longswords in unison, then surged into the house.
By now, Sophie had rushed down the stairs.
Seeing the skeletons swarming outside, countless red light points in the darkness made his scalp tingle.
But he wasn’t an Over 100 Levels Senior Warrior now, and his ring was still charging.
He had no choice but to face it head-on.
Once entangled with these skeletons, he would probably be torn to pieces by their slashing swords…
“What an unfortunate day.” Sophie couldn’t help but feel powerless.
Pain surged in his chest, but he still managed to reach the kitchen ahead of the skeleton soldiers.
The young man imdiately shut the door behind him.
Before he could catch his breath, several sharp swords pierced through the door above.
Fortunately, he pulled back quickly, or he might have been pinned to the door.
“That was close!” Sophie’s heart was pounding; he looked around.
The kitchen’s other side had the exit, but he couldn’t leave like this— he had to find a way to alert the Buqi direction, only then could he save himself.
Also, fire could block low-level Undead.
“Brand?” Miss rchant bent over, panting heavily, looking up at him.
She had never seen Brand so decisive and brave, and couldn’t help but be amazed.
“Miss Roman, guard the door for a mont.” Sophie didn’t have ti to explain; he had to seize every mont.
‘Scratch, scratch, scratch—’
The skeleton soldiers began attacking the wooden kitchen door.
The door wasn’t ant for defense, and soon several holes appeared.
“?” Roman blinked.
“Yes, give a bit of ti.”
“What are you going to do?” The rchant girl asked curiously.
“I’ll find a way to alert the village.
This is Madara’s Undead Army; we must warn the others.” Sophie tried to calm himself as he answered and rummaged for flint.
Where was that thing kept?
“Alright, I’ll do it.” Roman imdiately moved to guard Sophie and the door.
“Can you handle it?”
“Of course.” The rchant girl raised the Stone Worker’s Hamr in her hand confidently, “I’ll do my best.
I’ll be a great rchant soday!”
Sophie paused, looked at her, and couldn’t help but nod.
“You will, Miss Roman.”
“Yes, Brand.”
