With the cover of Andreg lost, Brand suddenly felt the pressure increase dramatically. The Abyss Net shimred above the heads of a large group of enemies, rendering the creatures it enveloped useless. Not only were their movents slow and blindly erratic, but they were also continuously losing life. However, he could sense that the power of the net was gradually weakening, and the spell's duration was soon to end.

At this ti, Andreg proactively sent a request to create a derivative, but after considering it, Brand refused. Low-level derivatives were of no real significance in such a battle.

The Vampire Girl snorted coldly at the rejection, while the Clockwork Man, seeing that Brand had not given up resistance, cast another card with cold eyes—this ti, a tall female wizard with four arms and tallic grey skin appeared on the battlefield. The witch was extrely tall, at least two heads taller than an ordinary human, with a slender and long neck. Instead of hair, her head was adorned with bundles of nerves, and her face and shoulders bore strange patterns.

Brand was wondering if she was an Ecronian Weaver when he saw her holding a magic wand with one hand while weaving mysterious runes with the other three hands, as an invisible binding was imposed on him.

Yet, before this invisible binding could exert any effect, it naturally dissipated. After a mont of surprise, he couldn't help but laugh heartily, thinking to himself, "You foolish big guy, you got caught this ti. I am soone who is immune to all spells below the Ten Rings." But before he could finish laughing, the Clockwork Man threw another card:

"Guardian of Defeat!"

Another Light Door opened, from which a squad of ten soldiers in black helts and armor erged. Besides this, beside each of the previously defeated monsters stood a Guardian of Defeat. Suddenly, the number of monsters on the battlefield not only returned to the original but also increased by half.

"Damn, does this ever end?" Brand saw the Clockwork Man's hand tossing card after card and felt utterly dismayed. It was always players exhausting the BOSS with endless tactics, but today, he was to beco the first player to be exhausted by the BOSS' endless tricks.

Brand opened the Travel Mage System, placing his hand over a card, ready for one last gamble. But at this very mont, a woman's voice suddenly ca from the darkness: "Clock Monster, since when did you beco the sole decision-maker here?" Brand abruptly turned his head, seeing a Pure White Light Spear unexpectedly pierce straight into the chest of a Guardian of Defeat. This long spear seed extrely restraining against Dark Creatures, bursting into Holy Fire upon impact, turning the creature into ashes in the blink of an eye.

What's going on here?

Brand was stunned, only to see a tall woman erge from the darkness, radiating soft white light all over her body. More accurately, it was a woman with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a White Deer. In Amber Sword, creatures of such form were typically called Banshees. This Deer Demon bore a pair of wing-like pure white feather adornnts, wielded a Light Spear, and wore a chest wrap, revealing a sleek and powerful waist—her lips pursed with the hint of a barely-there smile, golden long hair cascading down like a goddess.

The gentle light constantly emanating from the Deer Demon's body almost dispersed all the darkness in the hall. She bounded towards Brand's side, seeming to ally with him as she stood beside him, raising her head to look at the Clockwork Man, "Clock Monster, isn't he a Travel Mage? How can you be so rude to our guest?"

This sudden change left both Brand and Otarais montarily stunned, with only Andreg remaining indifferent. Yet it was obvious the Clockwork Man recognized this newcor, its expression slightly twitching, saying, "Hmph, Ivana, you usually oppose and I ignore you. But must you betray even in the presence of outsiders?"

"Ha," the Deer Demon known as Ivana laughed so heartily as if she had heard the world's greatest joke, convulsing with mirth, "What betrayal, you exaggerate. Back when the Master's prohibition was set, it was rely about barring ordinary people. But this handso lad is an eligible apprentice, Clock Monster. Do you want the Master's legacy to be lost?"

Brand felt that when people in this world spoke of legacy, it seed to carry so special aning, even the Clockwork Man appeared more serious as it pondered before ultimately shaking its head in response, "In any case, since the Master never said it was permitted, then it's not allowed." With that, it prepared to act once more.
