Now reading: Chapter 121 - 121 51 Acts of Wealth2 from Amber Sword, a Game novel by Crimson Flame.

121: 51 Acts of Wealth_2 121: 51 Acts of Wealth_2 He casually picked up a stone and threw it out, scaring the wizard apprentice into dodging hurriedly to the side.

“Whoa!

Lord, please let explain—”

“No explanation needed, just don’t let it happen again.” Brand exhaled deeply, and his mood cald down.

He thought that at least he still had an advantage, which was that after tonight, Madara’s army would flatten Ridenburg.

Once the war ended, it would be hard for them to investigate who killed Count Du’en.

Although the All Things Return to One faction was powerful, they were not almighty.

Thinking of this, he felt slightly relieved.

As long as they couldn’t find him, there would be no unending revenge to worry about.

Brand finally relaxed completely and turned to ask, “How many bottles of mana potion are left?”

“Not a single one has been used, but I feel like I’ve been completely drained.” The young man gave an embarrassed smile, not willing to admit that he was reluctant to use the precious ‘Wizard’s Gold.’

Brand glanced at him and said, “We’re going to the roof, drink a bottle on the way.

Mana potions don’t take effect instantly, but in any case, I want to see you in full status resurrection before the next battle begins.”

“What do you an by full status resurrection?”

“In simple terms, a wizard without mana is no different from a dead man.

When you recover all your mana, that’s what I call full status resurrection.”

“Though that sounds harsh, it seems to be quite accurate.” Char nodded.

“Naturally, I’m not one for idle talk.” Brand thought to himself, though he wasn’t a wizard, he could still educate a little wizard apprentice up to at least level 40.

He also found it odd that both this guy and that old witch Barbara valued mana potions so highly.

Though mana potions were precious, it shouldn’t be to this extre, should it?

“Every word from you, my Lord, is a gem.” The young wizard follower was completely convinced.

Brand picked up his sword and walked to Count Du’en, bringing the leaf-shaped Elf sword close to the corpse.

The blade’s spine glowed faintly, reflecting the blood on the deceased’s clothes.

He frowned, recalling the scene, and then nodded.

“Lord, what are you doing?”

“Saving myself.”

“Saving yourself?”

“Less nonsense, follow .

Also, tell what you saw.” Brand knew he had to keep this guy from getting too cocky, or he’d cause problems again.

However, he hadn’t noticed that his deanor was becoming more and more like when he was a squad leader in the ga—

As they walked, Char reported what he had seen earlier.

When Brand heard about the noble private soldiers gathering outside the castle, he felt both worried and relieved.

On one hand, escaping from so many people would be incredibly difficult.

On the other hand, the pressure on Roman and Frey would be significantly reduced.

Honestly, although he had encouraged them, he was still very worried about those two girls.

But halfway through, he suddenly rembered sothing, “By the way, Char, what about the task I gave you?”

“What task?”

“The one where a highland knight commissioned his apprentice follower to collect so survival funds.

That task.”

Char lit up imdiately, “Lord, I’ve had great success.”

“With your vast knowledge, my Lord, you must have heard of Ramona Dark Light, the little princess of Saint Ausor born in the Year of Frog Chirping.

But she’s most famous not for her title, but for having been a court painter in Kruz during her pilgrimage for knowledge.

Her works from that period were highly acclaid in Vorn, hailed as the voice of the soul.

She also pioneered the zola art style, becoming a grandmaster of her ti.

I just didn’t expect that Duke Goran-Elsen to be a fervent admirer, with many treasures in his collection.”

“No, I’ve never heard of that na.

I only care about how much it’s worth.” Brand shook his head, thinking no one in the ga cared about such things.

They usually just looted gold and silver items, which in hindsight, showed a lack of culture.

“So vulgar, my Lord, so vulgar!” Char shook his head disdainfully, “But such a painting should fetch millions of Thor on the black market.”

“Barely acceptable.”

Seeing that his lord and he had no shared interest, Char was montarily dispirited.

Nonetheless, he tried to stay motivated and casually pulled out a booklet from his shrinking bag, “My Lord, I also found this.”

“What is it?”

“It’s a collection album for Magic Cards, mostly filled with tarot cards used for divination.

However, there’s more to it,” the young wizard apprentice said, opening the album and pulling out a card, “Look at this, my Lord.”

When Brand saw the card, he had a vague idea.

But only upon closer inspection did he confirm it was indeed a Destiny Card.

It was a green Wind Card, with an X in the upper left corner.

The card depicted an equilateral triangle glowing with fluorescence, with three segnts of spells at the vertices—

Ta’m symbolized the spell’s target segnt, Stau represented the mana guiding the spell, and Ee was the Eye of the Mana God.

The card’s cost was three green Wind Crystals.

Brand flipped the card over, instinctively scanning it:

Energy Drain

(Tower X)

Wind Elent 3

[Spell—Instant]

Change the target of the target spell.

“Your magic is under my control—Tower Guard, Aud”

Watching Brand’s expression, Char spoke up, “This is a rare white magic card, my Lord.

Seems like our luck is quite good.”

“White magic card?” Brand asked.

“Yes, a spell card without requirents.”

“But it has a cost, doesn’t it?”

“No, my Lord.

Most Destiny Cards’ spells and summons require you to be in a certain state, besides the Basic Land Cards.

Like Knight Decks, they lock on to the Heroic Path of knights/warriors, and that’s why you can use them—” Char replied.

“And white magic cards have no requirents?”

“Exactly, my Lord.”

Brand furrowed his brow, suddenly recalling the scene at the tomb of Girande.

He wondered if there was a connection, as he had never heard of Destiny Cards in his past life in the ga.

He had long been puzzled by this, but only now got the chance to think over it carefully.
