Brand realized what was going on and imdiately cursed in his heart. But he quickly figured out the whole situation and couldn’t help but curse Macaro for being shaless, even using him. He took a deep breath and decided to keep this grudge for later, planning to settle it with Macaro slowly when he had the chance in Lantoniyan. For now, he thought solving the current problem with this arrogant guy was more important.

Before he had a chance to speak, Sanfde beside him interrupted: “So, Redi, you really joined forces with Conrad?” Brand turned his head to see the young man calmly lifting his head, coldly staring into the eyes of the egomaniac. He had no excess expression on his face, only slightly tinged with disappointnt. Brand was slightly stunned, not expecting this seemingly easygoing young man to have such a side.

“I don’t need your charity!” Sanfde spat, feeling disgusted: “I can’t believe I treated you as my best friend; I must have been blind.”
“We feel the sa way!” The ragged Grey Wolf rcenaries echoed indignantly in unison.
Brand, who was initially enjoying the sight of the egomaniac being abandoned by everyone, didn’t expect Sanfde to turn around at this mont. He respectfully bowed to Brand: “Mr. Brand, Redi is right. Brand looked at Sanfde again, and saw the latter nodding as well.
He couldn’t help but laugh inwardly, thinking that this white-haired guy wasn’t entirely trouble after all. At least he brought a group of experienced rcenaries to him, didn’t he? But on the surface, Brand remained serious and solemnly replied: “We’ll discuss this later. Right now it seems I have a personal grudge to settle with Mr. Redi. I’ll handle this matter first—”
