Chapter 400: Act 118 Final Battle (6) (3rd update, finished for the day)

When Brando and Qian arrived, they saw disha pressing a hand against her shoulder. Blood had already soaked through her silver armor, staining the pristine white battle robe red. She stood with a furrowed brow, facing off the giant monster before her, while Conrad had long disappeared.

At this mont, the Earth Envoy Eckerman also looked sowhat unusual—its forr gray-yellow shell and cuticle were now completely cracked, revealing a dark red glow beneath, like slowly flowing lava. If before, this thing looked like a giant piece of earth-colored stone sculpture, now it looked sothing like granite that had not yet fully cooled and solidified.

Brando was startled seeing Eckerman in this state—it was the Divine Blood Rampage state. Even an undying evolution stage creature would regress one tier after entering this state, aning this thing would revert from an incomplete form to a juvenile form after this battle. What was going on?

It was logical to assu that without a life-threatening situation, the Divine Envoy would never willingly enter Rampage. Just like many BOSS fury states, it would trigger only below 30% of its life.

His gaze followed the monster’s arm down and spotted a deep, bone-visible wound on Eckerman’s left flank. Brando guessed it must have received the blow from disha’s Thousand Army Strike. However, that did not account for this problem, as Eckerman’s tenacity would an not even a direct hit from Thousand Army Strike would deplete 10% of its life, let alone initiate Rampage.

That left only one possibility: it had received a command to enter Rampage voluntarily.

Brando turned his head, only to see disha looking at him apologetically with her silver eyes. “Sorry, my Lord,” the Elf Princess said through gritted teeth in a low voice. “I let Conrad escape.”

Brando ntally cursed his own negligence. He and Qian had never thought the Earth Envoy Eckerman would use a diversion, as he assud it was an insect of sorts corrupted by the Divine Blood, which by logic, should not possess such intelligence. But he hadn’t considered that as long as Conrad had control of the ‘sheath,’ he could make decisions for it.

“This is not your fault.” The three of them stood together, facing off the rampaging Earth Envoy. Brando then asked, “What happened just now?”

“That man tried to lure into a trap, but I saw through it. Then he summoned this monster and tried to escape under its cover…” disha coughed into her hand, blood trickling through her fingers. “Cough, I attempted to stop them with a Thousand Army Strike… but the monster suddenly mutated midway, breaking free from my gravity binding…”

“Is that how you got hurt?”

disha nodded.

“Is it serious?” Brando frowned. The rampaging Earth Envoy’s strength had increased dramatically by 20%. If disha had taken a direct hit, the injury wouldn’t be minor.

“It’s nothing, just a scratch, cough…,” the Silver Elf Princess replied. “But it seems the Elental Power seeped in and wounded my lung.”

That is called nothing? Brando sweated, but he rembered that disha was actually in a spiritual state. The so-called external injury was rely an outward manifestation of her Soul Fire being disrupted. It indeed wouldn’t lead to a significant drop in combat ability like it would for humans.

“What now?” Qian asked from the side.

“We have to change the plan temporarily,” Brando said, staring at the motionless Earth Envoy, still puzzled as to why Conrad was so eager to break free from the three of them, even at the expense of the precious Divine Blood to put the Envoy into rampage. “Qian, you and disha go after that man. Don’t let him disrupt our layout— as for here, leave it to .”

“You?” The red-haired girl turned, a flash of doubt in her fiery red eyes.

“My lord?” disha was also surprised. She knew Brando’s strength as a Summon—just a Silver Rank warrior. No matter how rich his battle experience, he couldn’t possibly match a fearso creature enlightened with elents. It seed unrealistic even to delay it for a while.

“Have you forgotten my true power, Miss disha?” Brando responded internally.

“You an the Travel Mage, my lord?” The Silver Elf Princess responded likewise within.
