Chapter 467: Scene 151 Dawn (4)(second watch)

Gruding stood stiffly on the balcony, watching the scattered torches converge in the darkness. Ever since hearing that damn Viscount Gangsiting had returned once more, he had felt both regret and fear. He regretted not heeding his confidant’s advice to forcibly detain the opponent earlier that afternoon, but he hesitated and missed the opportunity.

But more than regret, he was filled with fear. Although he knew clearly that Madara’s generals were inside the city and that those Bone Skeletons would never allow him to die here, he still instinctively felt a kind of fear gripping his heart.

It was like a sharp sword hanging high, with a chill that could be felt from above.

Involuntarily, he touched the wound on his cheek. Although he tried to maintain calm on the surface, his heart was cold. He kept thinking of the cold look in Brand’s eyes and the chilling words he left behind:

“I’ll let you live for now, but next ti, your head is mine.”

He hadn’t expected that next ti would co so soon, just a day later.

The Baron turned around.

Behind him stood a silent stranger, clad in black lock armor, shrouded from head to toe in a long, black winged cloak, with a dark tal mask that only revealed a pair of bright golden eyes underneath.

He grasped a giant scythe with sharp tal gloves, resting it on his shoulder, his expression always calm as he looked into the distance.

If Brand were here, he would notice the silver scales insignia on the man’s body.

Among the many generals of Madara, only one person possessed such an insignia.

The Black Knight, Judge White Tiyamas Qiu Yue.

One of Madara’s Four Horsen of the Apocalypse—

But unlike the White Knight Albton and the Red Knight Leidios, White Tiyamas Qiu Yue had already held a high position before the first Black Rose War. He was Tagus’s deputy.

There were many legends about him in the past gas, but players were most concerned about his true identity. Legend had it that no living person had seen the face beneath the Black Knight’s mask.

Of course, this was sowhat exaggerated, as neither Madara’s dead nor the players had seen it either.

Facing Baron Gruding’s flickering gaze, the Black Knight smiled slightly: “Lord, you needn’t worry, our army will arrive soon—”

His voice was slightly chilling, but it carried a neutral charm.

“However, I’ve heard that the Viscount ventured alone. While his courage is comndable, it lacks wisdom. With just the strength of Gold rank, Kabais alone could easily handle him.”

“When the ti cos, you can decide his fate at your discretion.”

As he spoke, he thought to himself: Is this young man the sa one who humiliated ‘Dead Maggot’ Magus? I’d like to et him.

Baron Gruding snorted coldly on one side, knowing that Madara still didn’t want to get involved in the disputes of the Erune nobles. However, he had no objection to the proposal.

Thinking of the trouble Brand had caused him, he couldn’t help but grit his teeth, planning a precise feast for the Viscount.

Death wouldn’t be such a simple matter.

The fighting within the city was reaching a fever pitch, with the rcenaries’ attacking spearhead advancing along the streets—

disha was at the forefront, followed closely by Brand, who held Funiya’s hand. The young man led the little girl step by step across the battlefield—occasionally, noble private soldiers breached the lines and approached the young Knight Commander—surprised at the lack of vigilance from him, but they quickly got their answer.

The cold-faced young man would easily knock their sword away with a swipe—or smash it into countless steel fragnts—then drive his sword into their chests.

The whole process took less than a second.

The heart was still beating, but the wound had already ford a layer of white frost. The longsword appeared suddenly at their chest, and the noble private soldiers fell backward with an incredulous expression.

Brand pulled out his sword and pushed the cold body aside, then moved forward. Funiya’s face was sowhat pale but she still clung tightly to his hand.

At that mont, she rembered how her older brother Brand had the sa icy deanor when he rescued her from those noble cavalry. And Antitina and others—they were good people because only bad people hurt others.
