Chapter 475: Episode 154 Dawn (7)(1st update)

“Elent?”

Brand seed unfamiliar with similar elents, though reversing cause and effect, ti rewind, and spatial dislocation could achieve similar effects. However, the first description of logic (cause and effect) is: order and law, while ti is only related to the relative motion of objects, and the reversing process cannot be interconnected spontaneously.

The manifestation of the Gold Level elental power is inherently uncontrollable and must necessarily produce an effect from oneself to others, so the ti elent can almost certainly be excluded.

There are too many definitions for space; just the elent of ‘space’ itself carries multiple anings and has considerable overlap with the ti elent. Originally, order and stability seem to describe the spatial definition, but space also contains countless sub-definitions—relating to displacent, vectors, motion, and even matter and spirit.

However, one point stands: spatial dislocation relates to displacent and has nothing to do with stasis and stability.

As for those lower tier sub-elents: the guaranteed hit in cause and effect, or optical elents like refraction, curvature, or illusion techniques, none can lower the temperature of the Material World, let alone relate to order and stability.

Brand sensed soone approaching from behind, catching a faint fragrance that reminded him of the scent from certain deciduous trees in the southern hills of Erune in sumr—he knew Qian often wore a leaf from such a tree in her hairpin. Without looking back, he could feel the red-haired girl walking beside him, her eyes forward as she silently handed him her sword—rarely used though it was.

“Here.” Qian said.

“Thank you.”

Brand took the sword, just in ti to see the towering figure of Kabais standing up, shaking off the falling debris. The Undead Lord glared hatefully at them; Brand’s elental power left it suspicious and uncertain. Its elent: Power of Soul, is aid at enhancing attack and defense, but it was completely suppressed by the younger man’s eerie elent. It dared not act rashly, even as the rcenaries, led by disha, fiercely charged at Baron Gruding’s private army. Kabais could only stand still and confront Brand.

It had originally thought it had victory in its grasp, but now it even worried that the mysterious young man might launch an attack. The bone skeleton pressed on the wound on its brass armor, uncertain if it could indeed withstand Brand’s assault. It knew the situation was irrevocable, but at least it had to keep Brand here.

“Shall we defeat it?” Qian tightened her grip on her axe gun, turning back to ask.

Brand shook his head. He, too, was unsure; elental power was elusive and uncontrollable. Kabais’s actual strength far exceeded his own; it could bear the cost of mistakes, but Brand could not. If he misjudged the elent’s effect even once, it could give Kabais a chance to counterattack, a risk he could not afford.

The young man had long put life and death aside, but in this position, he held responsibility for many others.

Death was easy, but it was the choice of a coward.

“That last attack was ant to force you out, I thought you saw that,” Brand said, referring to Qian taking that axe blow for him.

“Sorry,” Qian suddenly realized, looking at him in surprise: “You…you knew?” But she had followed along alone, far behind in the forest with enough stealth experience. The red-haired girl clearly rembered he led Funiya ahead without looking back even once. She suddenly fell silent, suspiciously eyeing Brand.

She wondered if Brand was bluffing her.

“I noticed when you followed out,” Brand replied: “Divine Blood’s vessel.”

“Ah.”

The red-haired girl lowered her head, thinking the young lord liked to control everything and act in his own way. Even for the likable Miss rchant, he could still put on a stern face to scold, let alone her. However, she already made up her mind before acting on her own; if he were to bla, he could do so. She was used to it—better than feeling unnoticed.

She took a light breath, suddenly thinking of another possibility. Did he intend to bla Sanfde and the others? The girl beca more convinced of this likelihood, nervously lifting her head to look at him.

“What are you thinking now?” Brand read the obvious suspicion in the red-haired girl’s eyes.
