Chapter 478: Act 155 Dawn (8) (Second watch)_2

But how could the Lord be an Ancestor?

Except for the Dragon Clan, the bloodline of the Golden People had long been lost from the earth and had even beco a legend. Even the descendants of the Silver Clan were already considered an esteed existence in this era. After the age of the Dark Dragon’s rampage, the bloodlines scattered across the land, making even the survival of the Silver Clan unpredictable. How could there still be Ancestors walking upon the earth?

Unless Brand is from the Dragon Clan.

But the Elf girl imdiately shook her head to deny this suspicion. Even the newly born young of the Dragon Clan would not be as weak as the Lord. While thinking this, the girl suddenly felt a bit sorry for Brand. She blushed and quickly apologized in her heart. But she turned her head back and coldly asked, “Nonsense, what do you an?”

Bai raised his head, his cold tal mask wore a half-crying, half-laughing expression, but the golden fla-colored eyes beneath the mask made disha sense sothing unusual—a motionless undead holding a scythe—the Silver Elf girl quickly blinked, fearing being srized by him. One of the Four Horsen of the Apocalypse, the masked man, let out a deep, rumbling laugh:

“Just as I said, the surface aning, as you understand it.” The Black Knight’s voice echoed tallically.

“Rubbish!” disha looked around, the strength of the Undead General before her far exceeded her imagination, but she halted, causing the rcenaries’ attack to pause as well. The Elf girl was undecided on whether to request aid from the Lord. The battle between Brand and Kabais on the street had stirred up thick dust, and she did not know what was happening behind her, but she feared distracting Brand because of herself.

However, the private soldiers of the nobles were also unable to enter the inner city amidst the stalemate. Given this, she decided to delay for a while. She bit her pale silver lip: “The blood of the Golden People has long been lost. How can there still be Ancestors walking the earth.”

Bai smiled slightly and quietly answered, “Indeed, the Ancestors are all Golden People, but Miss Elf, you forget—there is also the existence of the ‘Fool’.

The Silver Elf Princess couldn’t help but smile: “Dark Dragon? How amusing, do you think the Lord is the Dark Dragon? Does such a lie have any significance? No one will believe it—”

“No significance,” Bai shook his head, “But in Madara, there is such a legend, ‘The Sovereign of Darkness will inevitably return, it sees through hearts and is clear about all things—’. You must have heard this ancient legend as it cos from the Black Prophecy of the Miner people, who are your mortal enemies, right?”

“So what?”

“Nothing. I just happened to et a witch nad Barbara in Ridenburg,” Bai answered indifferently, “You know, witches are always more sensitive to the powers of darkness than ordinary people.”

The Silver Elf girl shook her head: “But you seem to forget, the Dark Dragon was once our greatest enemy. Compared to the witches, I am more familiar with its aura. Moreover, the Black Prophecy also says, ‘Darkness will be born from the inhuman, the honorable people will vanish from the flas.’ The Lord is human, a descendant of the Fla King Gilte, an honorable people—you can’t deny that, can you?”

“Indeed.” Bai picked up the scythe, shouldering it and nodding to himself.

“Stop sowing discord. Who exactly are you?” The other party seed unbothered by her delay tactics, and disha’s heart grew uneasy. She had decided to attack once more, and if unsuccessful, she would have to request the Lord’s aid.

A soft laugh echoed from beneath the tallic mask: “I recall ntioning, my na is Bai. Bai Tiyamas Qiu Yue, I am the scales of war, the just judge of hearts—”

The Undead General placed one hand on his chest and bowed slightly.

“You an the instigator and inciter.” disha coldly retorted, raising her spear—but she hadn’t expected her opponent to be faster. Just as she was about to act, Bai, with his head lowered, seed to see everything as if with his own eyes. He wielded his scythe and swung it forward, a black light sweeping towards disha. Startled, the Elf Princess gritted her teeth and retreated, but she was still hit by the final strike. The collision of the black light with the spiritual shield around her body erupted in dazzling sparks, the energy wave sweeping around, forcing nearby rcenaries to retreat. The girl muffled a grunt, sustaining not insignificant injuries.

“Such powerful Soul Fire, as expected of the Silver Elves’ ghost—”

Bai observed the Soul Fire blazing around disha’s body and answered thus, raising his hand backward.

The ‘Bone Thorns’ battalion received the command and imdiately advanced, retrieving bone spears from their backs and assuming attack stances. anwhile, the rcenaries, still reeling from the previous assault, had no ti to respond. Bearing her wounds, disha raised her head and saw the scene, a hint of panic flashing in her pale silver eyes as she gritted her teeth and shouted, “No—!”

But the Undead General had already lowered his hand icily.

A soft sound, the echo of vibrating air lingered in the ears.

A row of bone spears rose into the sky—

The panic in the Silver Elf girl’s eyes turned into resolution in an instant. The little princess pressed a hand to her chest and shouted, “Ptyoona——!” (Ancient Elf Language: Spirit Wings——!)

Her voice, like a series of lodious wind chis, instantly pierced through the entire battlefield. Simultaneously, everyone saw the Soul Fire surrounding the girl knight erupt in an instant—like a pair of enormous wings spreading out, the power of the soul blending into the night, forming layers of glowing hexagonal transparent networks against the dark backdrop. In that mont, the entire street was covered under the Elf girl’s protective wings. The bone spears falling from the sky struck these transparent crystalline nets, and each impact burst into dazzling bursts of light. Nearly every bone spear was intercepted and turned into ashes in an instant.

The rcenaries looked up, their faces illuminated by the flickering light, but no matter what, they understood—they were saved.

Bai watched quietly, his golden eyes flashing: “The ancient battle technique of the Silver Elves—”

He smiled, lowering the scythe in his hand.

With the Soul Fire spread, disha had no protection left around her—
