Chapter 486: Act 159: The War of the Travel Mage (Part 2) (Fourth Night Watch, Seeking Support for Recomndations)_2

“Highland Courage.”

Amidst a burst of white light, the long-lost, battered young man erged clutching his head from the Array: “By Martha, Lord!” Ben rolled forward while screaming in his familiar tone, “I can’t believe you summoned so quickly! Do you know, Lord, you are the most wise Highland Knight… oh!”

He let out a strange cry and ducked as an Angel flew over his head, crashing into the ruins not far away with a ‘boom’.

Char imdiately glanced over there, his tongue clicking in fear.

Brand rely smiled.

His fingers moved to the ninth page, third line, “Destiny Card: Trial.”

“Unlocking this card requires the paynt of eighty wealth,” the book responded. Brand nodded and raised the card: “Present the Trial——”

He placed the card down:

Trial

(Wolf Cave II)

Earth 10

[Event—Event/Exploration]

Target summoning creatures gain 250,000 experience.

‘To the Lonians, the Wolf Cave Altar is more of a spiritual harbor——’

“Attached to?” a voice echoed in his mind when the card appeared.

Brand spread the card out facing Char, who was running with his head down, and displayed: “Attached.”

The Trial Card vanished instantly, but in the next mont, another card appeared before Brand:

Highland Mage

(Knight IX)

Water 5

[Creature—Human/Wizard, Level 45 Creature]

When the Highland Mage enters the field, provides 5 reputation points weekly.

Maintenance Cost: 2 Earth Elents per day while this card is on the field.

‘Highland Courage’

Brand was slightly taken aback, instinctively looking up and indeed seeing a beam of white light descending from the sky. Char was standing in that light, his simple long robe glowing softly, instantly adorned with two mysterious patterns and three rings of grayish-white lines at the hem, marking him as a Seven-Circle Highland Wizard. The person in question was montarily dazed, puzzledly looking at himself, then opening his hand to find a golden short staff appearing in it.

“This is…” Char was shocked and turned around, just in ti to see the second Great Angel flying backward toward him. The young man, who had just beco a Great Mage, imdiately stretched out his hand, as if a transparent cushion ford instantly on his hand, gently catching the Angel made of light. Char looked up at Brand with eyes full of surprise and joy.

“Gold Level power.”

Brand understood. Without changing his expression, he imdiately commanded: “Char, Static Barrier.”

The young Wizard knew how to coordinate with his Lord. He had already seen Kabais charging through the two Angels with reckless abandon. Char shook his head, thinking these bone skeletons were truly reckless. He pointed his short staff in that direction and chanted: “Law of Ti, Stasis and Confinent——” A transparent wall appeared out of thin air. The Highland Mage pushed forward, and Kabais imdiately crashed into the wall.

The Undead felt its movents slow down instantly and raised its head in astonishnt, finally seeing a Gold Level existence before it.

A Seven-Circle Highland Wizard——

Kabais felt its Soul Fire nearly collapsing in that instant. By Martha! Is this guy’s reinforcents endless? How many Gold Level forces does he have under his command?

The Undead Lord opened its leaking jaw in a daze, its Soul Fire in its eye sockets gradually dimming, feeling the shadow of defeat encompassing it. Unlike warriors, Wizards had incredibly weak self-defense but devastatingly offensive spells, especially Law Mages like Highland Wizards with their bizarre and inescapable magic. A warrior of the sa level, or even a level higher, would inevitably lose once caught in their law entanglent.

Especially since it was the work of a grandmaster at the Seven Rings!

It understood its only chance was to end the battle before the opponent cast spells. But standing in front of Char was Brand, who shattered the Skeleton General’s last faint hope.

Brand held a large book and looked at the towering Skeleton General with pity, shaking his head.

“Kabais, farewell.” he said softly.

His expression deeply pierced Kabais’s heart. Struggling in the Static Barrier, it let out high-pitched roars and growls from its chest, but within the transparent wall, it only felt the heavy bindings wrapping entirely around its limbs, moving as slow as a snail. anwhile, Brand unveiled his final Summoning Card:

Wind Spirit Spider.

At this mont, Brand was far beyond his ti at the auction, with abundant Mana summoning a swarm of fifty spiders. When the dense sky-blue spiders fell onto the streets, everyone, including Char, was stunned. They looked at this young Lord, who summoned those that weren’t even Black Iron Level in strength, puzzled by his decision.

These spiders might have triumphed in numbers in the past, but here, they were redundant, unless used for reconnaissance—yet for scouting, Great Angels were much more efficient. In the eyes of Hu Que, Char, and the Wild Elf sisters, Brand’s move seed a waste of Mana.

However, their opinions did not sway Brand. The young man persisted in his ways. He shifted through his remaining cards: Holy Sword, White Sun Blade, and Golden Radiance Battle Banner.

Brand drew Destiny Card: Holy Sword.

He raised the card, paid the cost, and then attached it to the Wind Spirit Spider card.

At that mont——

Everyone saw the phantom of giant holy swords with wings appearing behind each Wind Spirit Spider, as if fifty holy swords hovered in the air. Sure enough, Brand smiled slightly. He raised a hand, and the Wind Spirit Spiders lined up behind him, forming a massive square formation.

It looked like a formation of radiant Holy Swords in the sky.

Brand looked at Char.

“This…” the young Wizard was montarily speechless.

“So I gave this move a na,” Brand turned back, quietly looking at Kabais bound within the barrier, and replied, “Let’s call it the ‘Dragon Cavalry System.'”

He raised his hand and spread his five fingers.

“Dragon Cavalry, attack——!”
