Now reading: Chapter 53 - 53 Act 20 The Persuader from Amber Sword, a Game novel by Crimson Flame.

53: Act 20 The Persuader 53: Act 20 The Persuader Breson sat down and glanced at Brand, convinced that this guy was lying.

He had been a militia mber with Brand in Ankeze, and although he hadn’t seen him during their ti in Brags, he roughly knew each other’s experiences.

A mill master’s son, even if his grandfather was a Knight of the November War and his mother had a bit of noble blood, could have had no extraordinary experiences.

Afterward, he was transferred to the Guard Team, and this kid was said to have wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps, though it was unclear how he ended up staying in Buqi for a year.

It was clearly impossible for him to gain that much insight in a year.

But if this kid really wanted to lie, he’d better think carefully if he could fool Madden.

Breson turned his head to look at his captain.

Although their old captain had a terrible temper and was stubborn, he was very shrewd and could see through most lies with just a few words.

After all, a soldier who could survive the entire November War was no simple person.

After Breson sat down, another young mber of the Guard Team seed to have noticed the awkward atmosphere and began to fill in the details of the skirmish starting from the dayti until the afternoon.

The people around occasionally nodded in agreent or chid in.

Among the group, only Breson and the old captain remained silent.

The Madden who Brand knew had an extrely bad temper and almost started swearing as soon as he opened his mouth.

However, at crucial monts, he could still calm his heart.

This was the quality of an old soldier, although his silver-grey eyebrows occasionally twitched, revealing his inner unrest.

As for Breson, he decided to watch coldly.

Brand listened to their description and imdiately knew who they had encountered.

The army that had followed them all the way from Buqi should be Rosco, the Corpse Witch.

In the ga, Rosco was a highly talented Undead Wizard, and this nickna was given by the players.

His talent was the Corpse Witch—Undead summoned through Spirit summoning were more easily transford into Corpse Witches—hence, his army had a notable feature of quick replenishnt of troops.

While not strong in assault, they were cunning, deceitful, and adept at using cannon fodder to wear down the enemy and grind down their morale.

At this ti, Rosco should still have been just an Undead Mage Apprentice.

Brand guessed that his rank in the Tagus attack sequence wouldn’t surpass that of a company captain.

His guess wasn’t far off; he just couldn’t have imagined that he had already caught a glimpse of him from afar—that very night when they escaped from Buqi.

As for the other unit, there was no need to guess.

Historically, it was Kabais who razed Qing Village.

This Bone Skeleton wasn’t famous in Madara, but he had a long record of service and should have already been a main general under Tagus by this ti.

This ant Rosco’s company size should exceed two hundred, with at least twenty Corpse Witches.

Kabais’s side, being a main force, should have gathered at least one-fifth of Tagus’s left wing.

Such a large force couldn’t possibly consist of only skeleton soldiers; there might well be Black Knights and Pale Knights.

Fortunately, the Undead Army needed to block several crucial paths in the forest, and their forces couldn’t concentrate in one place.

The refugees encountered half of Rosco’s company and a full company from Kabais; otherwise, they could not have escaped so easily.

Of course, Brand couldn’t say these details so clearly; otherwise, the source of his information would be highly questionable.

The prior statents could still be attributed to so legend, anecdote, or story, but knowing the enemy’s troop deploynt perfectly was far beyond belief.

Being a Prophet also required skill.

He decided to start from the previous topic, pausing briefly before beginning.

“I don’t know if you have heard of a place called Anse.

It is the stronghold of the Undead Wizards.

In fact, Madara is divided into three factions: one is the Vampires, one is the Undead Wizards, and I won’t explain these two further since you should be familiar with their legends.

The remaining faction also holds considerable power.

We call them the Dark Lords.

Before they died, they were bandits, criminals, Holy Temple Knights who committed cris, nobles exiled from the Human World, or wandering Undead.

They believe in the Black Magic Book and are, in the traditional sense, Madara’s rulers.”

“Very novel, but this is just a story.” A mber of the Guard Team responded.

“No, imagine if soone could unify these three factions, Madara would be reborn from the darkness.

Coincidentally, they have a prophecy about this.”
