Capítulo 541: Act 19 Timber Yard Battle (6) (1st update, today’s outbreak, seeking subscription)_2

Just as Brand said, this was rely a warm-up battle.

anwhile, at the edge of the forest.

The remaining thirty-sothing cave dwellers were currently surrounded by Hu Que’s cavalry. With all three Bear Goblins having been killed by Brand, the cave dwellers had no choice but to face two Silver Level Great Angels and nearly double their number of humans. The result of the battle was evident.

Brand didn’t need to look; he turned around just in ti to see the rcenaries maintaining a steady speed as they chased the fleeing cave dwellers across the river. The young man snorted, thinking these guys were still being cautious, apparently concerned about the dozens of cave dwellers left in the lumberyard.

He estimated the speed. At this pace, the cave dwellers would certainly escape into the lumberyard, which made him frown. Although these cave dwellers looked battered and exhausted, the previous battle hadn’t hurt them seriously at all. The cave dwellers’ casualties were less than a quarter, and no Bear Goblins had died.

If they escaped back, it would truly be a wasted effort.

But fortunately, when his gaze moved to the forest further across the river, he finally saw that familiar figure.

The red ponytail galloping through the forest was like a striking scenery line. That was Qian—

In fact, not just Brand, Crenxia, Yuta, and Fern also noticed the change on the other side of the river at this mont. They realized that the red-haired girl, who had been missing all along, had sohow crossed the river. The girl rode a silver magic war steed, holding a long spear with one hand, bringing a long arc of electricity as she charged out from the forest.

Obviously, her target was the lumberyard.

But before that, she blocked the path of the retreating army of cave dwellers—

“Get out of the way!” Yuta was stunned. She didn’t know why seeing the red-haired girl standing alone in front of hundreds of cave dwellers made her heart tighten slightly. Those were hundreds of cave dwellers, along with the escaping Bear Goblins. The instinct to survive could arouse their ferocity, and even a Gold Rank might not be able to retreat unscathed in such a situation. Furthermore, if forced to turn back, the earlier victory could be in vain.

But Qian remained motionless, as if she hadn’t heard at all.

In the next mont, countless green points of light erged from the forest behind her—that was the Wind Spirit Spiders. Every rcenary present now recognized these little things under Brand’s command, and they knew how formidable they were.

Yuta was montarily speechless.

The Wind Spirit Spiders imdiately began attacking, systematically forcing the cave dwellers to change direction under Brand’s command. Every ti a beam of light flashed, a cave dweller would fall to the ground. The Silver Level attack power left the cave dwellers unable to resist. But they soon discovered that they were least likely to get attacked on the right side of the formation.

Then everything beca natural. When the remaining twenty-plus Wind Spirit Spiders finished guiding the Holy Sword’s round of attacks, the frightened and terrified cave dwellers scread as they fled into the forest from another direction.

The red-haired girl stood motionless among the cave dwellers, but none dared to attack her. They could only obediently go around her, like water flowing past a rock and into the other side.

But Qian didn’t attack either. She waited until the back of the last cave dweller disappeared into the forest before turning around. She looked at the rcenaries approaching from behind and then pulled up the magic reins to make her Silver War Steed stop and turn sideways.

Inside her amber eyes, the scene of the cave dwellers in the lumberyard frantically closing the large gate built on the wooden fence reflected. Qian smiled slightly, a hint of determination flashing in her eyes. Then the girl raised her War-hamr and swung it forward.

With a loud boom, everyone saw the lumberyard’s gate being lifted high and then collapsing in mid-air.

“What a hassle,” Antitina frowned and complained as she watched, “She broke the gate. We’ll have to find soone to fix it later. Seriously, she never considers these things.” The noble daughter stepped out from the woods after the battle, unaffected by the previous fight, or rather, she had grown accustod to such a life.

“Let her be.” Brand smiled. He lifted his head, watching the golden points of light flying toward him. There were about ten thousand experience points, enough to move his rcenary’s experience bar up a little—over a tenth.

After hearing Brand’s words, Antitina remained silent. She watched as, led by Qian, the rcenaries stord into the lumberyard through the gap in the east. The remaining cave dwellers inside were definitely no match for the rcenaries and Qian. The battle was decided.

“Unbelievable,” the noble daughter murmured softly, “These underground creatures have such poor resistance to specific magic. One would think they should be well aware of their weaknesses.”

“You can’t say that,” Hu Que walked over from the other side after cleaning up the battlefield, just in ti to respond, “Miss Antitina.”

Antitina turned around, a questioning look in her eyes.

“Cave dwellers in Jogen Digan are not a single entity,” answered Brand. “Jogen Digan is like a vast country composed of different creatures forming the underground kingdom. Besides the Bear Goblins, who fight alongside the cave dwellers, there are also Harpy Witches and Dogman Shamans, not to ntion the cave dwellers have witch doctors themselves—though in such small tribes, finding one is rare.”

“Therefore, they are naturally less skilled in dealing with magic than us.”

“That few?”

“If you consider one mage per thousand people, that proportion is not low,” Brand replied.

Antitina nodded and looked down in thought. “I just didn’t expect there to be such a kingdom underground in Jogen Digan. It’s completely different from what I’ve read in books. Although I know of cave dwellers, I always thought the underground was a barbaric land beyond the reach of civilization. The world is truly fascinating.”

Brand chuckled. Antitina lived within the human-centric Cruz culture system, so it was normal for her to have such misconceptions. From his player perspective, this world was unimaginably vast.

“But to think even cave dwellers are so fierce,” the noble daughter frowned slightly. “They are far more formidable than Madara’s skeleton soldiers. It turns out we have such threats underground.”

“One big feature of Jogen Digan’s creatures is their outstanding individual power, which relates to their environnt,” Brand sighed, looking towards the lumberyard. “But you find cave dwellers fierce because Erune is too weak—if the Cruz people were here, they wouldn’t say such a thing.”
