Capítulo 569: 33 Act Expansion (14)_2

“Mr. Crenxia, prepare to assist Fern,” he said. “Try to bypass the front line after the battle begins, cut off that Knight’s retreat, and capture as many as you can. If you can capture Samuel himself, that would be best. Don’t kill him; I have use for him.”

He paused, “Of course, you’ll have to assess the specifics yourself. Accept the order now!”

The silver-haired middle-aged man’s eyes brightened, as if he had beco lighter. He glanced at Yuta beside him and responded in a deep voice, “As you wish, Lord.”

After speaking, Crenxia adjusted his Sword like a true Knight, bowed slightly, and turned to leave the courtyard, his confident footsteps echoing on the bluestone slabs outside.

Thus, only Yuta remained standing alone in the courtyard. She couldn’t help but frown. Eventually, she remained silent. As disha observed that the arguing people had all left, she breathed a sigh of relief and gave a slight bow to Brand with Elf etiquette. “Lord.”

Brand nodded, looking at Antitina. The noble daughter beside him also seed to relax, relieved as the group who ca to demand money were dismissed by the Lord in just a few words, making her feel a sense of ease.

However, this was just an illusion. In reality, she didn’t feel relaxed at all because the problem wouldn’t resolve itself, and delaying wasn’t a solution.

“Lord, aren’t you going to the front line?” Antitina thought for a mont, holding a file, and asked.

“What’s there to see?” Brand shook his head. He didn’t see any suspense in this battle. Besides, it was far more effective to leave it to veterans like Hu Que, Fern, and Crenxia to command.

He knew he was more suited for leading charges and setting traps, which was his forte, rather than being so kind of Commander. Brand now felt that being a Lord was already enough of a headache for him, and for the rest, he would slack off as much as he could.

With the ti he had, he might as well deal with more pressing issues. He turned back and asked, “How much money do we have left?”

“About 3.5 million Thor, and that’s after converting Gruding’s collection and the precious tals in the treasury,” Antitina was montarily stunned but imdiately answered. “Considering the ti, it’s actually not worth that much. In reality, our cash is less than one-third of that amount.”

“And, Lord,” the noble daughter said seriously, “The food issue is pressing. From what I know, Tonyger’s annual output barely matches its consumption. In other words, we must find a way to feed even one additional person we take in.”

As if fearing Brand had not thought of this, she reminded him, “Mr. Reto is still leading several thousand refugees at Griss Port.”

Brand certainly had not forgotten this. He nodded and listened as Antitina continued, “Speaking of the food trade, it’s not that simple. First, we don’t have ships—”

“Griss Port should have ships, right?” disha whispered. Although unfamiliar with the Human World, she had cramd Tonyger’s geography for any potential future wars.

“Not to ntion we haven’t controlled Griss Port yet, and it’s just a fishing port—” Antitina shook her head. “There might be so rchant ships there, but to rent them, even if rchants are willing to work for us, it would be a significant amount of money.”

“Secondly, we can’t spend all our money on one thing, even if we delay everything else; at least half of it needs to be used for the upcoming war. Frankly, I don’t know how long this situation will last. Count Denell certainly won’t let us off easily.” The noble daughter sighed, “Not to ntion that even though we nominally control Fir City, most of Baron Lengshan’s domain isn’t under our control, and we’re practically struggling to move forward—”

She slumped with files in hand, “Honestly, I’d rather hide in the Black Forest right now. A smart woman can’t cook a al without rice, Lord.”

She then looked at Brand with a sowhat resentful gaze, “As for the Magic Laboratory you promised , Antitina has no problem deferring it, but it looks like Master Buru can’t wait any longer…”

Brand couldn’t help but smile wryly, understanding that the noble daughter’s words didn’t genuinely an “no problem,” but rather, she had no choice for the mont. He was aware that Antitina’s words were true; with autumn harvest over in Tonyger, the only way to solve the grain problem was through trade, but ultimately, they still lacked money.

Thus, figuring out how to make money was the first problem he needed to solve.

He did have so money in Brags, which was from Roman’s first business deal. They had entrusted it to Su, Reto’s daughter, when they left. If nothing went wrong, that money should be at least several hundred thousand Thor.

However, with Count Denell’s domain blocking the way between Tonyger and Golan-Elsen, relying on that fund was out of the question. Brand had to find another way.

The first thing that ca to his mind was the silver mine in Shafdelun.
