Capítulo 574: 36 Acts Nun Princess (1st update)

“Ambeser——?”

The girl sitting on the bench looked at her close friend in astonishnt—the one with long, loose silver hair draped softly over the princess gown, her body so slender like a doll, her light silver eyes filled with calm and composure, the Half-Elf Princess. However, despite this seemingly delicate appearance, this girl was renowned in the noble circle for her formidable character.

The silver short sword adorned with erald that she carried looked like an ornantal knife used by noble ladies for self-defense and ritual suicide, but Magdal had no doubt she could easily subdue a grown man with that sword—of course, this statent might seem slightly inappropriate. The swordsmanship of this princess was famous within the Royal Family; even a formal Kingdom Knight wasn’t her opponent.

The girl placed her hands on her knees, unable to resist a bit of envy. She was also a princess, from the Scorpion Lion Duchy, knowing Griff since childhood, and the two had always been close friends. But she deeply envied the way her friend could naturally exhibit external strength, showcasing her autonomous personality even in the subtle details of every tiny movent. In contrast, she herself grew up learning strict noble etiquette, though she was well-versed and knowledgeable, outsiders always viewed her as a gentle, quiet, and elegant noble daughter.

One could even say she was a model for the vast majority of noble daughters in Vorn—

But Magdal herself didn’t like such praise; she wanted to pursue a life of freedom—except she didn’t know what kind of life she truly desired, not to ntion her serious nature compelled her to shoulder her destiny. The Scorpion Lion Duchy was just a small country in Northern Erune, for a girl of her status, her future destiny was a preordained thread.

“Why suddenly send to Ambeser, Griff? Is it because of the war?”

The Half-Elf Princess nodded.

Suddenly, a wave of cheers erupted outside the terrace as the knights were holding duels in the plaza. However, the sound quickly dissipated, not affecting the conversation of the two inside.

“Has the situation beco this tense?” Magdal asked quietly.

“What do you think, Tine? My brother moves faster than I expected. The dukes have already ford an alliance, though that old fox Anlek is still hesitant, but I think he will soon make a decision.” The silver-haired girl stated leisurely, as if talking about sothing unrelated to her.

“There might still be a turnaround, Griff.” Magdal couldn’t help but speaking.

“It’s not that simple, Tine. Anlek has always been ambitious, he wants legitimacy, either to stand with my dear brother or with us,” the Half-Elf Princess paused and said softly, “I wouldn’t mind an alliance through marriage, but I fear it would harm Haruz instead.”

The girl sitting opposite her fell silent, rely looking at her calmly. Both were close friends, understanding that such difficulties wouldn’t defeat one another.

Because if that were the case, she wouldn’t be the Princess of Erune.

“Actually, my main concern is Count Denell,” said the silver-haired girl lowered her voice, “If Duke Anlek is the dark clouds in the northern sky, potentially bringing storms, yet with favorable winds, he might not be our enemy and can beco an ally. However, I suspect that Count might always be ready to reveal the dagger behind our backs.”

A light of interest flashed in Magdal’s brown eyes. She suddenly said, “I happened to hear sothing, Griff, you might be interested.”

“Go ahead, Tine.”

The Princess of the Scorpion Lion Duchy slightly leaned her body closer, “I have a friend who just sent a Magic Letter from Jandener. He wrote that Count Denier seems to be having so trouble, there’s so unrest in his territory, and I suppose he might temporarily not have ti to concern himself with matters outside his territory.”

“Is it a friend from the Holy Temple?” the Half-Elf Princess asked seriously.

Magdal gently nodded.

The silver-haired girl earnestly gazed at her close friend, even without Elven blood, her beauty was equally dazzling—yet distinctly different, her soft golden hair always seed to be coated in a divine radiance under gentle light, complenting her serene and graceful visage.
