Capítulo 580: Act 39 Shafrend Town (Update 2)

“Retreat.” Caglis stared into the forest, his expression gradually becoming solemn.

“What?” Sir Min Tai could hardly believe his ears. His youngest son actually wanted him to retreat. Although being cautious was not a bad thing, wasn’t this making a mountain out of a molehill?

And what about his dignity as the father?

“Brat, this old man isn’t dead yet, so it’s not your turn to command here!” Sir Min Tai coughed seriously and rebuked in a deep voice.

“My Lord, I’m afraid that the young master might be right.” But just at that mont, the knight beside him spoke solemnly as well: “We’d better retreat a bit—”

“What’s going on?” Sir Min Tai was taken aback. His old subordinates wouldn’t joke around with him. Now even he was starting to get a bit flustered.

But as soon as he finished speaking, everyone heard a piercing shriek from the forest!

The young man instinctively looked up—he saw a prominent magical signal slowly rising in midair.

Good heavens, were the opponents actually marauders?

This was the only thought in Caglis’s mind.

It was already a day and a night after leaving Fir City.

Having crossed the blue-black peaks, a group of people stood at the mountaintop, with their vision and the land stretching out in all directions; fields ford a patchwork quilt of green-flowered squares that extended through winding valleys, reaching into the distance.

Brand did not expect such a view within Glahar Mountain and couldn’t help but pause in awe.

“That’s Shafelund.” Yuta looked downward along the mountain path, spotting red rooftops dotting the woods, gradually becoming denser into a settlent.

The small town quietly slumbered amidst the mountains.

The day was just approaching noon, yet they had already arrived here.

Although before leaving, Char’s words had opened a whole new perspective for Brand, considering that Ambeser was a land of gold as a free trade port—he not only had paintings by Ramona Darkglow in hand but also a future Alchemy Master. Coupling this with the experience he brought from the ga, making a fortune in the free trade port wouldn’t be too difficult.

However, Ambeser could wait, as dealing with the Shafren Silver Mine was also a long-term matter, so Brand did not change his plans and ca to this mining town nestled in the mountains.

“So beautiful.” Qian murmured from behind, upon seeing this scene.

At this mont, the bushes behind them rustled, as the rcenaries trickled out from the forest, twenty-seven in all, each moving with steady hands and feet, eyes sharply surveying their surroundings. These individuals at least possessed Black Iron Peak level strength, all being elites under Yuta’s command, and in order to gather enough numbers, the Maid Corps Commander had borrowed quite a few n from other small rcenary groups.

Truth be told, Brand was startled to see these people. Black Iron Peak was already knocking on the door of Silver rank, and with a bit of training, they could beco formidable experts, much like seasoned knights.

However, compared to his own luxurious lineup, these people paled in comparison.

Not to ntion Brand himself, it was known by everyone there that the two young girls on either side of this young lord were both Golden Warriors; and the two silent attendants along the way—who were actually angels, but Brand had their snowy wings concealed as they drew too much attention—possessed Silver Lower strength.

For Brand, continuously cycling Holy Angels back to the card deck just to summon them again was a huge waste of Light Elent. While his deck’s capacity wasn’t large yet and it was relatively easy to draw this card, Brand did not have any effective ans to replenish Light Elent, so he decided to keep the two angels out and just pay one Light Elent per day, as there was no imdiate need to use a Resurrection Card.

Brand planned to send the two angels back once he was down to five Light Elent, reserving one chance for the Resurrection Card. And the hundred points of wealth he had saved while subduing cave dwellers could finally be used to unlock the Fire Elent Land Card—’Ember Volcano’ and the Wind Elent Land Card—’Storm Nest’ on his card album.

At that mont, an extinct volcano and a never-ceasing vortex in the sky were quietly lying in his ntally constructed independent space, with the only remaining Land Card on the album being the Fire Elent Land Card: Karuodu Wilderness.
