"Sir, I don't know which sect I should belong to, the monk who taught has already passed away," the boy replied.

Brand was suddenly enlightened. So that's how it is. The other party might not have received formal teachings, thus can only be considered an ordinary believer.

His interest in this small episode only lasted for a mont before his mind quickly returned to the mission at hand. Through the previous investigation, Brand had already roughly figured out the overall situation in this silver mine, but this only made him feel increasingly troubled.

As far as he knew, that Sword Master—the greatest threat in their mission—rarely appeared in the mine, and most of the ti stayed in the barracks. And of course, they couldn't just sneak into the barracks to take him out; sneaking in was easy, but killing him without getting detected was pure fantasy.

For the mont, Brand couldn't think of a thorough plan, but fortunately, he had already decided to stay here for a week, hoping to seize any opportunity during this ti.

But as he was pondering this matter, he heard that frail boy coughing violently on the side; he turned around and saw the boy coughing heavily with the support of a girl. Noticing Brand's gaze, the boy raised his head slightly and smiled apologetically, saying, "Old ailnt, sir, if you find it uncomfortable, you can sit farther away."

Brand, however, did not mind. He now had a Constitution close to 100, which might not make him invulnerable to all diseases, but at least traditional illnesses were no match for him. Thus, he shook his head and took out a water bag from his backpack: "There's clean water in here."

He knew the water in the mining area wasn't drinkable, so of it was even stored in wooden barrels that had long gone bad.

"Thank you." The freckled-face girl accepted the water bag at the boy's signal and gave Brand a peculiar glance.

This glance made Brand quite puzzled, as he had not thought much when handing over the water—after all, it was just a bag of water—as soone who once lived in a materialistically affluent era, Brand naturally didn't care about such a trivial thing.

But he didn't realize that in a world like Vorn, in fact, most of the people living at the bottom of society still adhered to the law of the jungle, respecting the strong, and not everyone here was willing to lend a hand to the weak.

Regardless, Brand's unintentional act earned him the other side's goodwill, as the boy's coughing eased significantly after drinking the water. However, he still lacked the strength to speak, so after a mont of silence, the girl spoke first:

"Sir, I heard that you are very powerful?"

Brand was stunned, thinking this question was rather odd, and he hadn't really considered this aspect before. Was he considered powerful? After comparing it to his past level 130 experiences, he shook his head and replied, "Barely..."

"Barely ans you're already quite powerful. I heard outside adventurers have so rank called Black Iron Rank, perhaps sir is one of those?" the girl asked.

"It's Black Iron Rank," the boy added from the side.

Brand glanced at the two of them, still not understanding why they were interested in this. However, the division of Profession Ranks wasn't a secret, and many civilians were actually knowledgeable about it.

"Barely enough, still a little short." Brand thought to himself, being so young and possessing Black Iron Power was already quite remarkable. Most of the rcenaries under his command who reached Black Iron Rank were at least in their thirties or forties.

But here, he aid to be as inconspicuous as possible, hence he casually responded.

He saw the two of them exchange a glance, then the girl asked again: "Sir, are all adventurers like you? I an, that... Black Iron Rank?"

Brand looked at them. "Of course not, as you know, those with Black Iron Power are already considered quite capable among adventurers."

He wasn't lying, those with greater strength wouldn't travel around as adventurers, only those with a roaming nature, but they were not the majority.

After answering, he added another question: "Why are you asking this?"

"We want to see the outside world," the boy replied this ti.

"To go on an adventure?"

The boy nodded.

Brand thought becoming adventurers wasn't a good choice, but he didn't discourage them. In a way, being a miner here didn't seem much better to him. He was young too, and naturally understood their thoughts.

But as he looked at them, he suddenly rembered they knew the mine much better than he did, and now they seed to have lowered their guard against him. This could be a good chance to gather information, right?

So he thought for a mont and asked, "I heard that so tunnels in the Shafelund silver mine connect to the underground world of Jogen Digan below, is that true?"

"Sir, I don't know what Jogen Digan is," the boy shook his head, "but indeed, so tunnels in the silver mine lead underground. It's said nobody has ever reached the end and there are people who went missing because of that."

Brand thought, "Sure enough, it seems the information provided by Tajib was correct." He suddenly had a vague idea in his mind, so he said, "Sounds interesting, are there any legends about it?"

The boy exchanged another glance with the girl beside him, but this subtle movent didn't escape Brand's eyes. They knew Brand had an ulterior motive, and it seed he was indeed here because of those strange legends about the tunnels, which fits the identity of an adventurer.

"Of course," the boy nodded slowly.

"Do you want to hear them, sir?"

"Of course," Brand replied, "tell the details, I can give you a reward—" He roughly detected their misunderstanding, and was happy to keep it that way.
