"Are you scared, disha?" He turned his head and asked.

"My Lord," disha smiled, "I am an Undead."

Brand instantly felt his face blush.

So he stopped talking and saw a Great Gate across the Duel Arena slowly open. A terrifying Monster jumped out from behind the door, dragging countless iron chains. It intended to pounce imdiately on the red-haired girl standing in the center of the arena but was forcefully yanked back by the chains; the clattering stopped it from reaching closer than twenty ters from Qian, where it let out a series of low growls.

"What is that?" The Old Swordsman stared at the Monster and asked.

Brand looked at the nearly two-story tall Monster, its three massive heads colliding and roaring like rolling thunder from its throats. The arena instantly filled with a stench—the sll of sulfur.

"Hellhound," disha had already answered.

"Demons from beneath the River of Sulfur have also once followed the Dark Dragon," the Silver Elf Princess whispered, "I have dealt with them on the battlefield before, these things are quite troubleso—"

"What battlefield?" Kulan looked at this little Elf girl in confusion, wondering what kind of battlefield would involve fighting such fearso creatures.

But disha turned back and gave the old soldier who had participated in the November War a slight smile, "The Saint War."

The Saint War? Kulan was dumbfounded. He instinctively thought this little girl was joking, thinking disha was a cunning little brat.

"Luckily, it's not a Hellhound Lord. This thing has Upper Silver strength, so as long as we're cautious, we should be fine," Brand turned around and said to Kulan, "Be careful of its spit."

"Kid, are you advising ?" The old man was stunned, then imdiately realized.

"I just don't want to save another person again."

"Hmph, that's because you have yet to see my real strength, young man." The old man touched his sword hilt, "You should worry more about yourself."

As Kulan said this, he was holding back a breath. In fact, today, this old Sword Master had indeed been running into bad luck from start to finish. Initially, he was about to make a move when a landslide interrupted him, then he was ambushed by disha unexpectedly and almost died in a mining disaster—which was quite disgraceful for an experienced Gold Rank expert.

Although he was injured now, dealing with an Upper Silver Monster should still be no problem. Besides, at the sa Tier, monsters, demonic beasts, or lower-level demons are no match for intelligent beings, for besides Absolute Strength, they have far fewer techniques.

The old man had already made up his mind to vent his anger on these creatures he considered re cannon fodder.

He even turned back and said to Brand, "Want to help save soone, kid?"

"No need," Brand hurriedly shook his head, thinking this guy was really reckless. The challenge Level of the Fate Arena rises one notch with each round; this ti it was a Hellhound, next ti it might directly beco a Hill Giant.

Kulan snorted lightly as if dissatisfied with Brand's disregard for him. "What's your na, kid?" he suddenly asked.

Brand was staring at the Duel Arena and, hearing the question, answered reflexively, "Su... Brand." He then realized and asked, "Why, old sir? Planning to rember my na to settle accounts with in the future?"

Unexpectedly, this ti the old man did not get angry but murmured twice, "Brand, Brand..." Then he suddenly smiled mysteriously and stopped talking.

Kulan's response took Brand by complete surprise. Feeling sowhat cautious, he placed a hand on his sword, in case this guy suddenly acted out of turn; causing trouble in the Fate Arena was no joke.

Just as Brand grew wary, the situation in the arena changed. Qian directly conceded defeat. Before the Hellhound could even break free from its chains, a flash of white light transported her into a cage not far away.

"Qian!" Yuta looked at the captured companion in shock—the other redhead always reminded her of her sister. She couldn't help but ask with concern, "Why didn't you resist?"

"I'm sorry, I'm injured." The red-haired girl replied sowhat despondently.

Yuta frowned, "But you know the rules here. The more people there are, the harder it becos for others to rescue later." She sighed, a little sadly, "But it doesn't matter. Whether that young noble will save us is still questionable; nobles don't risk their lives…"

Thinking this, she felt a bit despairing and sat down in a corner of the cage. More than worrying about herself, she was more concerned for her rcenary Group. If sothing happened to her here, Crenxia and Fern would not be pleased.

Though Yuta was worried, Qian remained silent. Holding the iron bars, she looked towards Brand's direction. For so reason, she knew Brand would save them.

Not only her, but Yuta too held the sa belief.

At this mont, Brand watched the old man solemnly stride into the arena. Kulan, with one hand on his sword, faced the Hellhound fearlessly. Just before leaving, he suddenly turned back and said to Brand:

"Hmph, you arrogant brat from the Tobus family, I'll show you what real swordsmanship is. Save you from getting too conceited—"

Brand was stunned by his words.

For Tobus was his Grandfather's na. (To be continued, for more information, please visit qidian, more chapters available, support the author, support legitimate reading!)
