"Make a trade with him."

Maher widened his eyes, "You don't really intend to use those worthless oddities of yours to trade with him, do you? If you anger him, it won't do us any good!"

Kevan didn't answer, simply giving his companion a silent look.

...

"The Nightmare Arena is an extre mode. No matter how much strength you possess here, you're just an ordinary person. You must use skills to defeat your enemies."

"Skills?" disha raised her eyebrows slightly, "What skills?"

Brand flicked the sword blade with his finger, "Combat skills."

The Silver Elf girl fell silent, as if deep in thought. It sounded advantageous to them, but she didn't think it was that simple. Although Lord didn't ntion it, she could guess it wouldn't be that straightforward.

Brand looked up to the sky, where rows of golden characters quickly appeared. Dwarf Language, ancient and modern Kruz Language, Tower Clan Language, Elf Language, Dragon Language, and even a language that made Brand's heart skip a beat:

He touched his nose, pretending not to see those extrely familiar Chinese characters.

However, the bizarreness was already evident. The Chinese characters appearing out of thin air didn't attract much attention. To ancient civilizations, it seed unusual not to have an obscure language.

What everyone present was more focused on was the content of those characters:

1. Power Dissipation (The strength of both parties in combat is forcibly reduced to below 10 energy levels)

2. Skill Dissipation (All abilities except for designated skills are automatically nullified for both parties in combat)

3. Swordsmanship (The designated skill is swordsmanship)

Yuta took a breath in. While the young Lord's power had already amazed her, the Maid Corps Commander knew better. Power was different—Apocalypse bearers might be born with strength above silver—but swordsmanship was different. It was an art that required years of training.

Without decades of imrsion, no matter how talented one was, they couldn't be called a master of swordsmanship. In Erune, Kruz, or all of Vorn, those known as Grandmasters were mostly elderly, white-haired individuals.

"Don't worry, Yuta," a soft voice ca from behind, as Qian seed to see through the female commander's worries. However, the red-haired girl appeared to have more confidence in Brand, hiding her concerns deep in her amber eyes, "Lord's swordsmanship is very impressive—"

"I know Lord's swordsmanship is impressive," Yuta replied, frowning. "But we don't know who Lord's enemy is," she reminded softly. "Even in Erune's history, there are many renowned Sword Saints."

Qian froze, unable to help feeling a bit worried.

Brand felt the sa worry himself. His thoughts were similar to the Maid Corps Commander's. The Nightmare Challenge wasn't that simple. He was already thinking about which sword master he might face.

The young man gripped his sword, feeling the light around him dim slightly. The next mont, disha beside him, the Silver War Steed under him, and even the Wind Spirit Spider in the sky all disappeared in an instant.

A low murmur arose around him.

The Travel Mage's abilities were stripped away as well, making Brand's scalp tingle. He had hoped that the Travel Mage's seemingly cheat-like abilities might bypass the rules, but it seed that this role still fell within the world's rules.

Fortunately, Brand wasn't so dependent on the Travel Mage's identity that he couldn't fight without it. He took a deep breath, adjusting his emotions, and then vigilantly watched his surroundings.

As the light dimd for a mont, he realized he had been transported to a strange arena—the ground was no longer sand but rough granite—neatly cut granite tiles forming a vast arena.

Brand surveyed the arena, then saw a black shadow appear from the north. He squinted slightly, recognizing the identity behind that shadow:

"Bujia?"

"Cross Sword, Bujia."

In Kulan and Yuta's minds, the sa na flashed simultaneously. Bujia wasn't unknown in Erune, and his unique swordsmanship stance made the old swordsman and the Maid Corps Commander recognize him at first sight.

Kulan frowned deeply, having t the exceptionally talented young man once years ago. He knew Bujia's prowess in swordsmanship. However, he felt slightly reassured, believing that the lineage of Tobus wouldn't be weak, given their heritage.

Yuta, on the other hand, seed relieved. She had seen Bujia from afar once while passing through Lantoniyan as a rcenary. She knew his swordsmanship style but felt he was at least easier to handle compared to other fad sword masters.

But before they could finish their ntal calculations, another black figure appeared on the field.

Brand couldn't help but curse inwardly. The newcor was an old acquaintance—White Knight Albton.

Then ca the third black figure. Brand recognized the person—Viscount Test.

The fourth black figure made Brand break out in a cold sweat. The figure was all too familiar, almost making him drop his longsword.

Standing directly south of him was his grandfather.

"Tobus!" Kulan's expression changed instantly.

"That's..." Yuta's expression changed too. She felt sothing stuck in her throat, making it hard to speak: "Ha... Harasgron..."

"Who is that?" Qian frowned, puzzled.

Yuta's face turned strange as she looked back, unable to get the words out.

But Brand had no ti to care about these things around him, for he realized he might face a huge problem—

One against four.

"By Martha!"
