Ben thought about it repeatedly and could only think of mining on his own. There were still many undiscovered mining areas in this era, but they were all in the Barbaric Region, which he seed unable to reach for the ti being.
As for the Stone Key, that thing was even more complicated. There were many Elental Domains, but mortals couldn't enter them. The ones that had fallen into the Main Material Plane were even fewer——
Ben thought perhaps using the terminology from the ga would better illustrate the rarity of this item. It was the essential item needed for player guilds to independently build cities and beco Lords.
He patted his head, feeling a bit of a headache.
But it was at this mont that the giant voice sounded again:
"Mortal, are you ready to face the next challenge?"
The voice was deafening, overpowering all other sounds in the arena. Everyone fell silent, shifting their attention from the sword in Ben's hand back to the fact that they were still in this mysterious arena.
Of course, I'm not ready! Ben was just about to answer, but a voice stopped him.
"Sir!"
He was very familiar with this voice; it was the voice of the frail young man nad Kevan. He turned his head that way, seeing those young individuals still locked in the cage. Even though Kulan had rescued so of them, at least half of them were still imprisoned.
Ben looked at the frail young man and roughly guessed what he ant by calling out to him. But he didn't intend to agree just yet––for one thing, he knew his own strength. He had absolutely no chance of passing the sixth challenge; accepting it rashly would only lead to failure.
Furthermore, he vaguely guessed that the appearance of this Sanctuary was probably related to these kids. He had to admit, their courage was noteworthy; they dared to ss around knowing there was sothing strange beneath this mine. But since they chose this path, they had to take responsibility for their actions, even if those actions implicated others.——not to ntion how many miners had perished in the landslide. If it weren't for his own strength, he, Yuta, Qian, and disha might have all ended up trapped.
Ben did not think there was anything wrong with having compassion, but he had his own principles. Sentintality was not true benevolence. Therefore, he shook his head, refusing Kevan's suggestion before he could continue speaking.
He gestured to Otarais and disha, leading them out of the arena.
"Wait," Kevan called out to him again, "Sir, I am not asking for your sympathy!" The young man shouted from the cage.
Ben was taken aback and stopped.
"I want to make a deal with you," the young man said, "Sir, you can choose to agree or disagree. The choice is yours, but please let state the terms first, okay?"
Ben looked up at the sky. The Fate Arena was quite user-friendly; the host seed to have noticed what was happening below, and the urging voice from above did not reappear.
"Go ahead," the young man said, nodding. He was curious about what these young, penniless, and desperate individuals could possibly have to trade with him.
Even if they were willing to serve him, what could they do? These young people were not strong, and they were only miners. Ben did not mind taking on so followers, but he had to consider the cost.
He looked at Kevan, suddenly recalling the conversation among the young n when they sneaked up the mountain path. Maher seed to have ntioned that there was sothing peculiar and seemingly worthless on this frail young man. Could it be that?
Ben frowned. Honestly, he did not have high hopes for this deal. He knew that so NPCs liked to collect odd knick-knacks, much like Little Roman; but those things often turned out to be of little real value, as he had been fooled several tis in the ga.
But the young man had enough patience. He stood there, silently waiting for Kevan to take out whatever he had.
However, Kevan fumbled around in his chest for a while and pulled out sothing Ben never would have imagined—a Destiny Card. Ben's expression turned peculiar. He never would have thought that Kevan had such an item, and it struck him right where it mattered.
It was a direct hit.
Ben, who had continuously experienced surprises and benefits from being a Travel Mage, now had a passionate interest in Destiny Cards——even though he knew there was no hope for the sixth challenge, he could not help but be tempted when he saw the card.
It was like a collector seeing sothing they really wanted.
He saw that it was a Fire Elent card, and the content on the card made his heart pound even more:
Fire Claw Lord
(Fla Tribe I)
20 Fire
[Creature—Fire Claw Lizard/Warrior, Level 33 Elite]
Warlike.
When the Fire Claw Lord is on the field, all Fire Claw Tribe creatures add 1 Battle Indicator.
Pay 1 Fire, all Fire Claw Spearn on the field gain the 'Charge' Abnormal Ability.
When the Fire Claw Lord is on the field, pay 1 Wealth, 1 Reputation daily.
'The Lord is the finest Commander of the Fla Prison Legion——'
Ben didn't know what the so-called Battle Indicator was, but after experiencing the Equipnt Indicator, he at least knew it must be sothing that enhanced summoned creatures. Moreover, this card itself was a Level 33 Elite Summon, which ant Gold Initial——
Not to ntion, it provided the ability for Fire Claw Spearn to gain the Charge Abnormal Ability, which directly hit Ben's weakness; he had just the Fire Claw Spearman card in his hand. According to Char, such a deck was rare, and he understood what the young man ant——so should he choose to continue the challenge?
The sixth challenge was nearly unwinnable, but Ben was unwilling to give up montarily. He was at a crossroads, hesitant.
"Lord," disha said, "that's a Silver Card, note its number; it should be the core card of the Fla Tribe deck!"
Ben was taken aback and then noticed that the Fire Claw Lord's number in this deck was I. Both Char and disha had told him that the cards numbered I were usually the core cards of the deck.
Now he was even more conflicted.
