"That's because you used to be just a little lunatic, you haven't t this big lunatic yet," Kulan glanced at Brand, complaining in his heart.

But despite his complaints, the old swordsman still turned to look at Brand and asked with a sidelong glance, "Alright then, where are those youngsters you ntioned who need looking after?"

Brand smiled slightly. The reason he sought out Kulan was actually very simple. He originally hoped to use this expedition as an opportunity to train that group of young people. The Black Forest was full of dangers, making it the best place to exercise them.

And having those young people around him would also help him instill his ideas in them.

However, the key issue was that the perils of the Black Forest were unpredictable. Protecting these young people whom he had painstakingly trained was not an easy task. Brand alone could not manage; he needed manpower.

Char, disha, and Qian were all strong warriors of the Golden Domain. The twelve Rubis rcenaries now also possessed the strength of the Silver Peak. But other than Qian, Brand understood he couldn't bring anyone else along.

At this mont, Lengshan Domain didn't permit him to allocate too much strength. If it weren't for Qian still being unable to stay too far from him for a long ti, he wouldn't even want to bring the red-haired girl along.

And precisely for this reason, he had to use the pretext of traveling to trick Kulan into coming here. The purpose was to have this old swordsman help him out. He believed that though Kulan might complain verbally, he would still lend a hand when needed.

Sure enough, after a brief hesitation, Kulan agreed to his conditions. As long as he didn't have to directly confront Count Rangdenier or beco his subordinate, the old man didn't mind coming out to enjoy the scenery.

Of course, even so, he still wouldn't show Brand a pleasant face.

"Almost there," Brand replied.

He looked into the distance and sure enough, a black spot quickly appeared on the wilderness outside the forest, growing rapidly into a convoy. Four large covered wagons slowly entered the forest and then stopped one by one.

The rcenaries on the carriages obviously recognized this lord. They imdiately dismounted and bowed to Brand, saying, "Lord!"

"Is everyone here?" Brand asked.

"Yes, Lord."

"Where's Qian?"

"Miss Qian is here too, she and Miss Antitina are together—" The rcenary who answered respectfully kept his head down.

Brand raised his head, his gaze falling on the last black four-wheeled carriage. He saw the door of that carriage open, and Antitina and Qian disembarked one after the other. However, what surprised him was that even the two wild elf sisters were onboard. They were the last to get off, and the younger sister of the two sisters waved vigorously as soon as she saw Brand.

"Lord!" Because the Rubis rcenaries had been carrying out relatively heavy tasks for a long ti, the little girl nad Tiya hadn't seen Brand for a while. She looked particularly excited at this mont.

"Why are they here?" Brand nodded to the wild elf girl and cast a questioning glance at Antitina.

But the noble daughter seed to have anticipated Brand's question. First, she glanced at the four large covered wagons, as if subconsciously confirming that nothing was amiss.

Then she looked up at Brand and replied, "Miss Fuluo is here to take care of the lord's daily needs."

So she really beca a personal maid!

Brand almost coughed in surprise, looking at Antitina in astonishnt. "I don't need a maid."

The wild elf older sister's face turned gloomy. She stood behind Antitina, gritting her teeth and glaring at Brand with erald green eyes. Her expression conveyed, "Show so respect, Lord!"

"I..." Brand was at a loss for words. He thought to himself that he absolutely had no intention of wanting a maid. It was purely because Fuluo's tasks overlapped too much with that role. After thinking for a mont, he had to rephrase, "I ant, I don't need to be taken care of. I'm not one of those people who just waits to be served..."

"But you are the lord of Tonyger," Antitina said seriously.

"That's just a title, Antitina. Wasn't it the sa in the past?"

"The past is the past," the noble daughter glanced at him, sowhat reproachfully. "Now you are the lord of Tonyger. Your every word and action set an example. How can you not even have a personal maid?"

She cast a sidelong glance at Brand. "You wouldn't want Lord Char to take care of your daily needs, would you, Lord?"
