Now reading: Chapter 855 - 160: Shadow of the Dragon (Second Update) from Amber Sword, a Game novel by Crimson Flame.

The sharp whistle that pierced the air quickly ford a vivid concept in Brand's mind. If it sounded like the sharp sonic boom produced by a whip striking through the air—then Brand couldn't imagine how big this whip must be.

Precisely speaking.

This was a whip sweeping across the entire forest.

The terrifying sonic boom instantly swept through the whole forest. Brand felt a tingling at the back of his head and instinctively grabbed Qian, lunging forward. The two rolled into a nearby tree hollow.

Then there was a 'buzz', the sound seed to sweep through his brain, causing his eardrums to resonate, and even a few seconds later he still felt the persistent buzzing sound in his head, only gradually regaining his hearing after a long while.

It was truly terrifying.

In the last mont before falling into the tree hollow, he saw the attack whistling past—that was a whip-shaped air wall, approximately as high as a tree trunk, a vast expanse of white rolling over, sweeping through half the valley in an instant.

At the mont he fell into the tree hollow, the air wall just brushed over his head.

Brand couldn't help but shake his head in the darkness of the tree hollow, as if the impact earlier had caused his teeth to cut his lip, a mouth full of the taste of blood—though he suddenly froze—because he felt a soft response on his lips.

If it weren't for the faint breath of a girl in the darkness, he almost forgot he was pressing down on Qian.

Brand's face instantly turned red.

His vision gradually adjusted to the darkness in the tree hollow, where even starlight seed faint. He slowly saw his hands propped on the damp soil—coincidentally—Qian was pinned beneath him, facing him, her mouth slightly open like a startled small animal, staring at him.

The girl's burning amber eyes seed particularly bright in the darkness.

But what was afla wasn't anger, but shyness.

She almost forgot to breathe.

Both their lips were bloodied, sharing a sowhat salty, tallic taste.

Brand sat up expressionlessly, stiffly extending his hand to pull Qian up. Though he restrained himself from thinking about the earlier incident, for so reason, those mories were so vivid and lively.

The soft fragrance of the girl's lips mingled with a wild hint of blood, as if it could lt one's thoughts.

Evidently, a montary event repeated in his mory as though it forever existed in the preceding mont.

Neither spoke.

Brand resisted the urge to cover his face, this was his first, albeit unexpected, embarrassing kiss across two lifetis as a wizard.

He couldn't help but console himself, perhaps his first kiss was actually when he kissed Little Roman's forehead—but even he found such an excuse unconvincing.

Qian was no different; this was her first ti too.

The red-haired girl felt she was becoming feverishly hot until she lted, like water seeping into the cold soil beneath her, her wide-eyed gaze lost, until Brand pulled her up dully.

"I—I'm sorry."

They spoke simultaneously.

Qian exclaid 'ah' and lowered her head.

Brand felt his face burn, as if the danger outside the forest had disappeared, or been entirely cast aside in his mind, though he had decades of experience over two lifetis.

Yet in this regard, he was utterly unprepared.

Until Otarais burst into laughter, the crisp laugh was like a silver bell in the darkness, awakening Brand, "Little one, you are truly adorable."

"Ahem." Brand coughed: "… What was that earlier, did you see clearly, Lord Otarais."

Otarais seed to have discovered new territory but didn't press further; instead, she replied, "It looked like so kind of tail; I shouldn't be mistaken."

Tail?

This word was like a cold shower drenching Brand from head to toe, what kind of tail could be so large? He suddenly paused, recalling that the earlier strike indeed resembled a dragon-like tail swipe attack.

But if it was truly a tail swipe—

Martha above.

How big must that dragon be?

"Wait, is there no physical body?" Brand suddenly gasped and asked.

"Seems like an Air Elent creature," Otarais replied. "Though it was rely a glimpse, only barely recognizing it as a being ford from so cloud or mist."
