As Brando took out the gemstone, a beam of pale grey light shot out from the gemstone, piercing through the mist, as if pointing in a certain direction.

"What is this?" Faina asked.

"Why should I answer you? You Cruz people wouldn't care for the answers of the Erune people, would you?" Brando lifted the gemstone, like a lighthouse in the fog.

"You—you—" The noble girl was left speechless with anger.

But Brando ignored her and walked forward, with Faina following silently— the light from the grey gemstone was actually a kind of resonance, with the other end of the resonance being within this abyss. The two walked one after the other through the mist for so ti, always surrounded by the ever-changing black rocks of the fog, and beneath their feet, there seed to be a layer of swirling air like flowing water.

The monotonous scenery was sleep-inducing, but after they advanced for a while, the gemstone in Brando's hand flickered and then dimd suddenly.

"What's wrong?"

Faina asked curiously upon seeing this.

"We've arrived." Brando put away the gemstone, leaning his body against the rock. Although this was originally part of his plan, the Fog Nightmare, like Andesa, was not to be trifled with.

Then he cautiously peeked out from behind the rock to see an enormous pit behind the white mist, but as his gaze continued downward, he held his breath instantly—

What kind of scene was this?

At the bottom of the huge pit lay a prehistoric giant beast.

But it was not the Holy Multi-Headed Dragon as Brando had imagined. Instead, it was a wolf, a giant wolf as long as a canyon from head to tail.

The giant wolf lay sleeping, its body entirely pure white, its silver fur glinting in the darkness. Yet, even curled up, its body was more majestic than the highest mountain peaks, with its enormous yet graceful wolf's muzzle resting on its front paws, eyes closed, its eyelids and one cheek marked by a silver scar.

Brando swallowed hard at the sight, nearly forgetting to breathe.

At this mont, Faina also peeked over his shoulder, and the noble daughter widened her eyes imdiately, nearly letting out an 'ah', and quickly covered her mouth with both hands.

"What, what is this?" Faina asked in disbelief.

Brando looked at the giant wolf, light shining from his eyes as he took a deep breath: "The Child of the Twelve Demon Moons, the Head Wolf Aisis!"

"Ah!"

Faina exclaid while covering her mouth.

The Head Wolf Aisis was the offspring of the Twelve Demon Moons, the root of the Wolf Calamity, and the northern border of the Cruz Empire had long been plagued by wolf disasters. Naturally, Faina was not unaware of the folklore surrounding it.

Except, the Head Wolf Aisis is a demigod of myth, and although countless stories have been told about its legends, no one believed that such a creature actually existed in reality.

"How, how could it be? You, you must be mistaken, right?" Faina stamred.

"A giant wolf, completely snow-white, that's Aisis. Moreover, it has the wound left on its right eye from battling the Winter Wolf—"

Brando suddenly paused, rembering this thing might be a form of the Fog Nightmare. After all, if it could transform into the Holy Multi-Headed Dragon, why not the Head Wolf Aisis?

But just then, he suddenly felt Faina nudging his waist from behind.

"Bran..."

The noble daughter raised her head, hissing as she drew cold breaths, her tongue seemingly tied in knots.

Seeing this lady's ghost-stricken expression, Brando imdiately beca alert. He raised his head to witness an unbelievable scene.

In the sky above the Head Wolf Aisis, the vast atmosphere was slowly changing, forming various shapes—now the Holy Multi-Headed Dragon, then other similar mythological beasts. But the mists slowly gathered, finally assuming the image of the Holy Multi-Headed Dragon with fifteen heads.

The phantom of the Ancestral Divine Beast appeared up above.

However, fifteen pairs of blood-red eyes suddenly opened, exposing Brando and Faina to fifteen fierce and malicious gazes, chilling both of them, as if they were simultaneously pierced by fifteen sharp swords, pinning them to the ground—

And at this mont, Brando suddenly considered a possibility.

He looked at the still slumbering Aisis, then at the massive apparition in the sky, theorizing that if this were indeed the Head Wolf Aisis's dream, and if dreams could influence another world, this would be a true nightmare.

No wonder it's called Fog Nightmare.

Could it be that this thing was rely a dream of Aisis?

Just a dream, and yet this powerful?
