Brand imdiately turned back, raised his index finger to his lips, and signaled Faina and Funiya to be silent. Andesa's voice scared the noble lady so much her face turned pale, almost crying out, until she saw Brand's gesture and covered her mouth in relief.

Thus the forest fell silent—

Except for so kind of insect in the nearby bushes, emitting a monotonous chirping sound, and a few small rodents quickly darting through the tall grass, rustling as they went.

Faina could almost hear her own heartbeat powerfully pounding in the eerie silence, the tension speeding up her blood flow, yet her fingers and face grew increasingly pale.

"What should we do?"

She mouthed the words. The previously arrogant young lady seed to have vanished, leaving only a girl, no different from an ordinary person, looking at Brand with eyes full of fear and trembling—she realized now that he was her only support.

Brand glanced at her.

At this mont, the noble daughter's face was as dirty as a spotted cat, her beautiful golden ponytail covered in dust—even though everyone would look like this after the previous battle, he still thought she looked much cuter now than before.

At least the haughty attitude she had when arguing with him was now nearly gone.

"No need to worry."

He mouthed his reply. Brand was fully aware that this state of the noble daughter was just temporary; she was still the daughter of the Duke of the Cruz people, her superior ntality etched in her bones, and she was bickering with him just monts before Andesa appeared.

He cald down and listened carefully, faint footsteps began to erge from the other side of the forest, Andesa seemingly not bothering to conceal her presence—with her power, there was no need—only those with fear would hide, true warriors do not.

Just like how they are now—

In the past gas, Brand, as a level 130 warrior, rarely needed to use stealth. The mories of the dual skills with the Ranger were from many years ago.

Those mories were both exciting and thrilling, yet now felt different, for life and death chase in reality ant life was under threat every mont, the feeling of a threat on one's back deprived any sense of thrill.

Instead, it made one feel extrely anxious and scared.

Such disparity made him very uncomfortable, only due to past experience could Brand calm himself quickly.

He stood perfectly still, listening as the footsteps lingered awhile not far from the west—quite close indeed, suggesting there might be more than one exit from underground to the surface.

Could this be considered a stroke of luck?

Then he heard Andesa's voice:

"That kid might have already gone far, didn't expect there to be Silver Alliance people secretly protecting them, the previous spell had so familiar essence, wonder if it was those old guys."

Upon hearing this, Brand instinctively held his breath, but imdiately another man's voice, sowhat familiar to him, ca through:

"Didn't expect you, this monster, to regret making enemies, isn't that ironic?"

"Too many enemies? Such a ridiculous notion," Andesa's voice sounded slightly piercing, clearly sneering: "Listening to that tone explains why you move so cautiously, but if that's the case, why don't you cowards hide back in your filthy lair?"

"Alright, alright," the man's voice showed submission: "I didn't co to argue, Andesa. Instead, I'm more curious about there being another world here. It appears, without a doubt, we are the first visitors here in centuries."

"We're the second batch, don't forget; they might have entered already."

Brand knew that the 'they' Andesa referred to was his group. That woman likely didn't dare to ascertain how many people were with him, suspicion naturally led to precaution, which was good news for him.

"Doesn't matter, Andesa. Did you realize that young man knew about here all along? I can't believe he accidentally opened that door without preparation."
