If there is no so-called 'strategy,' then create one yourself. That is the spirit of the Amber Sword.
Brand took a deep breath and finally thought of a solution. If he couldn't perfectly complete the task, then abandoning pawns to save the chariot might not be a bad choice. He glanced to the side, cald down, and cautiously retraced his steps.
Yet as soon as he exited the bushes, he first saw Faina looking at him pale-faced, as if he had done sothing utterly unforgivable.
"Being with you will shorten my life by at least ten years!" she glared at him and said.
"If that's all it takes to shorten your life by ten years, then soon you may just drop dead, who knows." Brand glanced at her and replied in this manner.
"Wha, what do you an?"
"See that ruin? Soon, we'll use it as cover and sneak behind it. I checked carefully just now, and that's the most likely route. The others are basically a dead end."
Brand explained his judgnt with gestures and talk, but Faina followed his hand gestures and promptly opened her mouth:
"It looks good over there, but country bumpkin, didn't you notice that the last part has no cover at all? No matter what, we'll definitely be discovered!" Unable to help it, she opposed with raised eyebrows: "I an, that woman is one of the twelve Shepherd Leaders of the Shepherd Tree Man, don't take her for a fool — her appearance here surely ans she has confidence in catching us!"
"Of course I know; I've noticed it too." Brand shook his head and replied: "But I also know she's definitely aware of our prior experiences, so she wouldn't take us for fools either. Given that, she wouldn't overly focus on that direction."
"I understand the logic of doing the opposite," Faina frowned: "But what use is only sneaking through the first half? The second half is a flat plaza, no matter how careless she is, she'll still notice us."
Brand didn't respond, knowing well that perfect solutions are scarce. At least first solve half, and the rest would be up to their hard work.
At this point, taking no risks was impossible, not to ntion he didn't have much ti to waste. Although William was helping them, how long the outside Druids could hold on was still a question.
So he shook his head.
"Hey!" Faina nearly shouted, she grabbed Funiya beside her: "Funiya, hurry and persuade your big brother, this lunatic wants to commit suicide, I don't want to accompany him!"
Funiya looked at the two of them, shook her head, indicating she wouldn't oppose — Brand's decision was her decision.
The noble daughter was rendered speechless at once.
"You can stay here." Brand said, seeing no reason to bring along the noble daughter when it seed like a death march.
But at this mont, the princess from the Flower Leaf Domain hesitated; for so reason, she felt a bit panicked. Logically, she should have agreed, but looking at Brand and Funiya, she inexplicably grew angry.
"No, you must take with you!" She raised her eyebrows and said defiantly.
Brand couldn't quite grasp the rationale of this young lady, and couldn't help but respond irritably: "I say, don't you think you're a burden?"
"Too bad you forgot to keep at Lord Veronica's earlier, country bumpkin. Since you brought here, you're responsible. You want to leave and just walk away, and still consider yourself nobles?"
I'm not a noble at all, Brand nearly shouted out. Yet he looked at Faina's earnest expression, seemingly intending to follow if he didn't agree, feeling a bit of a headache.
He glanced again at Funiya, finally compromising — anyway, taking one or two along made no difference, right? Furthermore, Brand couldn't help but maliciously think, if she was determined to follow to her death, any mishap wouldn't be blad on him.
Thus he sighed, reluctantly agreeing with Faina's words.
The noble young lady glared at him — yet, at this mont, also appeared relieved, as if in a long-standing battle, she finally gained her first advantage.
"Are we leaving imdiately?" she asked.
Brand wanted to say it's , not we, but at this mont, he just nodded. Especially after persuading the young lady, it really was ti to start taking action.
