The green light extended forward, instantly surrounding phisto and Veronica, seemingly about to engulf them. But unexpectedly, the mont the green light reached the hundred-foot radius centered on the Grey Sword Saint's body, it halted, unable to advance further.
The surrounding streets in the green light's path weathered to dust, revealing the earth beneath the shattered stone tiles, from which plants sprouted and then withered, turning the ground grayish-black. Yet beneath phisto's feet, the street maintained its original appearance, unchanged.
What's happening? Andesa was slightly taken aback. Theoretically, phisto's true strength was far inferior to hers and shouldn't be able to resist the erosion of her elents.
"What's going on?" Faina, hiding under her cloak, asked in confusion, "How... How can he resist the influence of the elents from such a distance? Could it be that his strength is comparable to Andesa's?"
Realizing phisto was on Veronica's side, the young lady's address for him changed from 'Great Demon King' to 'that guy'.
"Elental restraint," Brand's eyes lit up. "Erosion, to put it bluntly, is rely a subordinate elent of ti, no more than an evident elent. But the Grey Domain is the strongest fantasy elent in the Power of Laws, and it also has connections with ti. In the 'Gray World,' ti slows down, rendering erosion ineffective."
"And many fantasy elents have self-defined laws. In that world, the subordinate ti elents naturally must adhere to that world's laws."
Brand said no more, as elents are divided into six levels—Micro Elents, Mixed Elents, Strong Elents, Power of Laws, Elental Power, and the Power of Existence. Micro Elents are the power that everyone possesses in this elent-constructed world known as Vorn, also referred to as a person's attribute, though it is not apparent and is so weak as to be imperceptible.
Mixed Elents are the manifestation of so Strong Elents, hence also known as evident elents. These elents often appear before one truly unlocks elents, like the 'Frozen' ability Brand previously demonstrated.
But only those who genuinely awaken elents can have real evident elents, which are Strong Elents, the most widely distributed elent among the population.
Above that is the Power of Laws, including fantasy, mystery, sanctity, and nature; then Elental Power, also called the Superior Elent, with the Four Elents belonging to this level, forming the foundation of this world.
Finally, there's the Power of Existence, parallel or transcending the world's very definition, the essence of material and conscious existence.
Andesa's erosion, however, belongs to a subordinate elent of natural elents, degradation. Its superior form is ti; despite its noble origin, unfortunately, as a subordinate, it only represents a level of Strong Elents.
Yet the Grey Sword Saint's 'Grey World' is a genuine fantasy elent in the Power of Laws. Both elents have ti elents, but following the principle that subordinate elents adhere to superior elents, Andesa's power is undoubtedly suppressed.
If she wasn't inherently much stronger than phisto, phisto could even turn the tables on her through the Grey World, controlling her elents.
"What a stroke of luck, Count," Veronica smiled behind phisto. She knew full well how dangerous Andesa's elental power was but spoke as if she didn't mind at all.
Only the young Sword Saint of the iye people glanced back at her, his dark gray pupils reflecting the knowledge—I am already aware of Andesa's ability.
"I see," the Female Sword Saint replied. She reached out to shield Qian behind her and said to the red-haired girl, "Step back a little; you can't intervene in the upcoming battle."
Qian showed a hint of surprise, "You don't have to protect like this, Lord Veronica. I also possess Gold Level strength."
"Oh?" phisto was slightly taken aback, "Your Lord is also a Gold Level existence, right? Recently, quite a few notable figures have erged among the Eruein people. I've heard there's a talented young man nad Bujia who gained early recognition of the Cross Sword. He's also from your country, isn't he?"
Qian nodded, ntioning Bujia was still her Deputy Commander. However, she didn't dare to say that the once-young Bujia could no longer be called young, having entered middle age.
