"But you can do a favor." Brand turned around and said to Faina. "A favor?" Faina looked at him with a puzzled expression.
"Analyze the spells on Anman for and tell the segnts related to protection."
"You're planning to deal with Anman first?"
"Nonsense, you obviously press the softest one first," Brand said, staring at Anman's back in the distance—he actually had another option, which was to control the core of Valhalla while Andesa and phisto, Veronica were engaged—but he chose to stay behind for two reasons.
One reason, of course, was Qian. It wasn't a short distance from here to the core of Valhalla, but phisto was clearly no match for Andesa, so leaving Veronica and Qian here didn't seem wise.
The main reason was that he saw an opportunity. Andesa and Anman, one was a Shepherd Tree Man, the other belonged to the All Things Return to One. The reach of the All Things Return to One was vast and deeply infiltrated in human society, while the Shepherd Tree n were lunatics. Brand didn't want them to return to the civilized world and secretly oppose him.
The only solution was to eliminate these two here, letting whatever happened here remain forever buried in the Black Forest, never to cause further trouble.
Therefore, he had previously incited William, though regrettably, that Great Mage of the Silver Alliance was very cautious and didn't let him get any advantage; but now with phisto's appearance, he had a second chance. Brand knew that the most troubleso thing about fighting Andesa was her Erosion Domain, but this Gray Sword Saint could exactly counteract it.
Thus, Andesa's otherwise well-concealed weakness was exposed.
"Alright, I'll try." Faina replied, "But his rank is much higher than mine, I can't guarantee it'll work."
"Don't worry," Brand comforted her, "he's now beco undead, the Holy Magic itself will repel his body, making it more prominent, not as difficult as you think."
Faina nodded.
Lady Qing approached Priest Anman, standing and looking at him: "Priest Anman, there is still ti to turn back. Considering our personal friendship at the imperial level, I don't want to strike against you."
"Turn back?" Anman sneered, "Would the Holy Temple accept an undead as their priest? Besides, you must have heard of the Undead Resurrection Technique, Veronica, stop with the empty words, you know this won't work on ."
Veronica wasn't surprised by Anman's response. Her intent was rely to shake his spirit, but as expected, the undead's will was cold as steel, having no effect on the fallen priest.
So, she said no more, her sword trembled in her hand, and a string of green birds suddenly unfurled their wings and flew from the blade, making a beautiful arc as they swooped towards Anman from both sides.
Anman pointed a finger, "Golden flas grant a sturdy shield," several golden shields appeared and disappeared, each colliding with a green bird, sparking mid-air.
"Fla Blessing," Faina said.
"This spell is an active protection skill, but if the caster is unaware, it wouldn't be effective, continue." Brand focused on the gap in Anman's back and said.
"There's also a Spiritual Barrier, which is passively triggered protection."
"It only protects the front 180 degrees. What else?"
"Secret Armor."
"Premonition Attack."
"That's quite troubleso, is that all?"
"Seems like... that's it."
Brand nodded, lifting his cloak with one hand. At this ti, the battle between Anman and Veronica was intense, and he never expected that just ten feet behind him, three people were hiding. Given his abilities, it was impossible for soone to sneak this close without him noticing unless the person was ten tis stronger than him.
But then again, a person ten tis stronger than him realizing or not actually wouldn't make much difference, not to ntion Anman would never think soone that powerful would hide behind him to ambush.
No need at all.
The mont Brand lifted his cloak, the Premonition Attack on the priest imdiately gave him a warning, but stuck in fierce combat with Veronica, he had no ti to look back. Moreover, the warning from the spell wasn't strong, suggesting the hostile intent against him was still sowhat distant.
Unfortunately, Anman didn't know that Brand was also well aware of how the Premonition Attack worked. He had kept his breathing calm from the start, making his killing intent less obvious. As a veteran player of the Amber Sword, Brand had extensive experience, even more dangerous than those mage hunters.
