phisto imdiately switched the sword to his left hand, raised his right palm, and took a look. There were no burn marks; instead, it was completely pitch black.

"Corrosive damage?" The Sword Saint paused slightly. Being quite knowledgeable, he recognized that this was no ordinary lightning but a substance composed of so Dark Elent.

anwhile, the Gray Sword Saint was blocked by Andesa, who, transford into an Evil Dragon, was now over Veronica and Brand. She hovered in mid-air, attempting to swoop down and stop Brand's actions, but Veronica stood in front of Brand, raising the Green Sky in a battle-ready stance.

Andesa took a deep breath. She knew that attacking Brand ant she could not bypass Veronica. Although the Female War God's strength wasn't as great as hers, she could still easily hinder her.

She hesitated for a mont, extended her claws, and countless vines instantly grew from the ground, stabbing towards Brand.

Those vines, twisted plants corrupted by darkness, burst from the ground like countless densely packed venomous snakes, spreading out. Veronica had to frown and deflect these plants to one side to prevent them from interfering with Brand's work.

"How much longer?"

"Don't engage her directly; let phisto find a chance to hold her off!" Brand replied without lifting his head, focusing on the ground overgrown with bushes. Under the watering of Divine Blood, the black, thorny plants were growing at an enormously fast pace, visible to the naked eye.

Seeing this, Andesa beca sowhat anxious and uneasy. Although this amount of twisted vegetation wasn't enough to completely disrupt the local natural order, it was enough to affect her connection with the Power of Nature. Her Profession was similar to a Druid, and once she lost her proud spellcasting abilities, her close combat skills weren't much better than phisto's.

Add in Veronica on the side, and her chances of victory were even slimr.

Especially in battles at their level, victory or defeat is often decided in an instant, and even a slight tilt in the scales of war could affect the final outco.

With this, she imdiately lowered her head and let out a low growl—those vines erging from the ground were closing in inch by inch, binding Veronica completely with those twisted plants—this was enough for Andesa to feel that the opportunity had co. She squinted her eyes, seizing the chance despite having less than absolute certainty, and dove towards Brand's direction with outstretched wings.

A terrifying screech imdiately tore through the air.

At this point, Brand finally raised his head, glanced at the direction of Andesa's dive, and maintained a calm expression. Of course, in truth, he was extrely tense; no past dangerous covert mission matched the thrill of this mont.

That was one of the twelve Shepherd Leaders, whose absolute level at this mont was at least forty levels higher than his. Converted to in-ga data, a re breath could kill him.

This wasn't like losing a level in the ga; it was true death.

Yet, Brand's mind was incredibly clear at this mont. He glanced to the side, noting Veronica's predicant, and made a plan.

He formulated his strategy almost instantly, raising his hand to wield a sword toward Veronica's direction. Though the lunar-shaped Sword Qi from his White Crow Swordsmanship rebounded off the tenacious vines with almost no damage, Brand wasn't counting on that.

With a thought, sharp rocks pierced through the ground in an instant—they didn't sever the vines but temporarily shielded those twisted plants to one side.

Veronica was finally able to free herself. Without a mont's hesitation, she stepped forward and raised her longsword. The green glow all over her body surged out in all directions like tangible sword blades. She raised the Green Sky in her hand and swung toward Andesa—a green Wind Dragon, about one-tenth the size of Andesa, flew from the Sword Blade, roaring as it hit the Evil Dragon in mid-air.

At that mont, Andesa was in the final dive stages, unable to change direction. She could only watch as the Wind Dragon hit her shoulder—though the Wind Dragon was rely a facade, the frantic Sword Qi instantly shredded the scales on her shoulder, and a burst of blood sprayed forth.

But that was all; Andesa only felt intense pain, her movent slightly stalled. In just that mont, Brand seized the chance to dodge her claws and regrouped with Veronica on the other side.
