The powerful magic tore the ground, forming a deep chasm—the Chaos Barrier, upon its destruction, releases all absorbed attacks. One can imagine the might of Veronica's three full-force blows, as evidenced by the dozens of intersecting, fragnted cracks across the plaza.
But suddenly, there was a surge of magic power, and an ominous aura ca from behind the white mist; both Brand and Veronica felt their hearts skip a beat. Anman, who had previously been bargaining lazily with Veronica, turned out to be stalling for ti.
"Little guy, what on earth is that..." Veronica drew a cold breath. Despite her rank, she was almost suffocated by the magic surge—what terrifying spell was behind it?
Brand was even more uncomfortable, although his abilities as a Travel Mage and various tools allowed him endless tricks. Even when facing elental power, he could barely protect himself, yet at this mont, he couldn't help but feel a sense of collapse.
"Mavi... Book of Cart, I did not expect it to be... here." Brand said through gritted teeth.
"That book! How is it here?" Veronica's face changed too.

Nad after an abominable demon and revered by Chaos followers as a Holy Scripture. It's an Ancient Evil born from the Sea of Chaos. Legend says the book can devour everything between heaven and earth to obtain forbidden power, and though it's an evil object, it possesses power nearly equivalent to a Divine Artifact.
Yet legend has it that this book perished in the Battle of Dusk, so how could it be in Anman's hands?
As they spoke, the magic power between heaven and earth further converged, as if a black hole had ford in the plaza's center, even the wind and mist spiraled toward that center.
But just in a brief mont, the magic suddenly stretched outward, and a ring of black light abruptly exploded. The light ring first swept over Brand and Veronica's heads, banking sand and earth in its wake, and in an instant, it swept through the entire ruins' range.
Screams arose from the plaza's edge, seemingly Faina's voice. Under Qian's protection, they retreated toward the forest, but in an instant, the black ring caught up.
Not only on the ground but even in the air where Andesa and phisto were fiercely battling, they both sensed the magic below bubbling as if boiling.
After transforming into a Demon Dragon, Andesa could barely maintain the advantage, but she was not a genuine Demon Dragon, besides, Gray Sword Saint phisto wasn't foolish enough to engage her head-on, only circling around, never allowing her an escape from this Demon Realm's thorns.
Andesa felt her strength gradually waning with ti, almost unable to maintain dragon form, yet she was helpless, anger burning within like flas, even her eyes almost showed black fire.
But at that mont, both uttered a soft 'hmm' and looked toward the plaza below.
The second ring of black light was spreading—
"What is this..."
"This is life-threatening... Dark Shock Wave!" Brand cursed in his heart. An eleven-circle top-level spell, seemingly a pure ground-type spell, but the eleven-circle spells, known as humankind's limit, none are simple. This spell's first component is—'No-fly Curse'.
In midair, both Andesa and phisto suddenly felt themselves tighten, losing the aerial ability brought by elental power, even flapping wings could provide no lift, and both instantly fell from the sky.
"This is... indiscriminate attack!" Andesa's face turned pale, she scread: "Hamir, are you insane!"
Of course, Anman wasn't insane; eerie laughter echoed from the mist: "Andesa, this is my gratitude for your delays, allowing to prepare this Ancient Holy Object's power—but sadly, you barbaric creatures can't possibly understand the sublimity of Supre Power..."
He seed confident, with his hands never relaxing. Behind the mist, the speed of magic gathering accelerated; the third ring of black light imdiately exploded, this ti even more astounding, the black trail like a whip sweeping across half the plaza, even the air crackled and burst.
