Chapter 278: Chapter 39 Qing Yao
Countless cultivators had embarrassingly retreated from within Fire Dragon Ridge! As a result, Fire Dragon Town beca extrely lively.
“Penglai,” “Purple Light,” and “Heavenly Pool,” the three ancient sacred lands, naturally beca the center of attention.
However, aside from the three sacred lands, there were also so powerful forces, such as the ancient families and a few old Immortal Dynasties, that had strong individuals arrive.
These forces, however, seed sowhat overshadowed in front of the three ancient sacred lands.
These sacred lands had an extrely mysterious heritage.
They appeared enveloped in a mysterious veil from the outside.
Moreover, everyone had only heard about these sacred lands.
They knew roughly in which state the sacred lands were located.
But their exact location was unknown to anyone.
The sacred lands stood aloof from worldly affairs, casting their gaze down upon the world.
All three sacred lands were ancient existences capable of contending with forces like the Ancient Jiang Family.
…
Lin Feng was heading towards the trading street of Fire Dragon Town with the Fire Kirin.
Because too many strong individuals had co to Fire Dragon Town recently, a trading street had erged.
Many cultivators would set up stalls on the trading street, peddling things they no longer needed.
Lin Feng and the Fire Kirin arrived at the trading street and indeed found a bustling scene with people coming and going. On both sides were many stalls set up by cultivators.
“This is a top-grade Spiritual Artifact, the treasure sword Heavenly Sorrow Sword!”
A cultivator held a treasure sword in hand; it was a flying sword containing astonishing power, which let out a resonating hum with the Void as it vibrated slightly.
Many people gathered around it.
Lin Feng was amazed to see soone peddling a top-grade Spiritual Artifact flying sword, sothing he had never seen before.
Such a flying sword could be brought to an auction house for sale in the Imperial City of True Martial Country.
“How much for this flying sword? How many Gold Coins?” asked a young nobleman.
The cultivator looked at the young nobleman with disdain, saying, “Do you think this sword can be bought with Gold Coins? I need a Fire Spirit Stone, who has a Fire Spirit Stone, the Heavenly Sorrow Sword will be his.”
Clearly, the cultivator intended to barter for it.
This trading street was not an ordinary one; many of the sellers were from great forces, so they were not lacking in Silver Coins. What they truly needed were so precious Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures, which money could not always buy.
Such as the Fire Spirit Stone, which, it was said, once slted and extracted, was material for forging “Treasure Weapons.”
“Heh, a treasure like the Fire Spirit Stone, where could we possibly have that? That’s ore for forging treasure weapons, sought after by many big figures in the Yin Yang Realm, yet hard to find!”
The young nobleman spoke.
“Why spout such nonsense? Bugger off.” The cultivator glared fiercely.
Lin Feng and the Fire Kirin strolled along the trading street when a young girl caught Lin Feng’s eye.
The girl was dressed in green, with a graceful figure, skin like condensed milk, and beauty like a Heavenly Immortal.
In front of her were several porcelain vases, likely containing elixirs.
Lin Feng walked over and crouched down, asking, “Did you refine all these elixirs?”
The girl in green nodded and replied, “Do you need any?”
Lin Feng checked and his expression showed astonishnt; these elixirs were all Yellow Rank, middle-level. If this girl really had refined them, she must be at least an alchemist of Yellow Rank, middle-level.
Of course, she could also be a higher-level Alchemist!
There was no rule saying a higher-level alchemist couldn’t refine so low-level elixirs for trade.
Lin Feng inquired, “How do you go about selling these elixirs?”
“I don’t want gold or silver. If you can bring forth so Spiritual dicine, you may exchange them for my elixirs,” the young girl said,
Her voice was soft and lodious, as pleasing as her appearance, which was beautiful and elegant.
Lin Feng opened a bottle of elixir, took a sniff, and said, “Is this a Mad Demon Pill?”
The girl was slightly startled and inquired, “You recognize it?”
“I have never seen it before, but I slled so hints of the Mad Demon Grass and Heart Devouring Grass used in the Mad Demon Pill ingredients,”
Lin Feng explained.
This revelation surprised the girl; who was this young man? He could identify the ingredients of an elixir rely by its scent.
Even she would have found that difficult to accomplish.
“Senior Sister, we should head back now; our teacher is waiting for us. We have to prepare for the banquet at Yunyu Pavilion,”
just then, another girl approached them.
This girl looked sixteen or seventeen, with a cute appearance and striking beauty, yet the haughty deanor in her eyebrows made her slightly unlikable.
Accompanying the girl was a young man in his twenties, dressed in white and exceptionally handso.
“Qing Yao, I just arrived with our teacher and ca to find you. Let’s hurry back. My teacher is chatting with Master Liu; they’re all waiting for us,” the young man in white said with a brightening gaze upon seeing the girl in green, followed by a smile.
“Wait for a mont,” Qing Yao said with a smile.
She asked, “May I inquire as to how to address you, Young Master?”
“Lin Feng.”
“Are you also an alchemist?” Qing Yao asked curiously.
“Yes,” Lin Feng nodded.
Seeing Qing Yao actively inquiring about Lin Feng, the young man in white’s face darkened slightly, a flicker of jealousy appearing in his eyes.
He said with a feigned smile, “Qing Yao, who is this?”
Qing Yao smiled and responded, “This is Young Master Lin Feng. Brother Lin just took a whiff of the Mad Demon Pill I refined and identified the Spiritual dicine components. He must also be a formidable alchemist.”
“Perhaps it was just a fluke,” said another girl, nad Xie Linghui.
“I am Chen Yang, a disciple of Penglai. Might I ask from which power Brother Lin hails?” Chen Yang inquired with a clasped fist.
“A descendant of the Ancient Sacred Land?” Lin Feng was slightly taken aback.
It seed that Qing Yao and Xie Linghui must also belong to an equally influential great force.
Lin Feng said, “From the True Martial Country’s Azure Dragon Academy.”
“True Martial Country? Pfft! A minuscule land, a power we’ve not even heard of? Senior Sister, how could such a person possibly be a formidable alchemist? I think his accurate guess of the Mad Demon Pill’s ingredients was nothing but a blind cat running into a dead mouse,” Xie Linghui spoke disdainfully, her gaze toward Lin Feng dripping with scorn.
“Junior Sister, do not be impolite,” Qing Yao chastised.
Xie Linghui imdiately retorted with displeasure, “Senior Sister, for such a person, you’re actually scolding . Am I wrong? Even the lowest of the Mountain Guarding Disciples from our Heavenly Pool Sacred Land are legitimate descendants of the Ancient Noble Families. What power is this True Martial Country? Even the Emperor of True Martial Country would be unworthy to guard the gates of our Heavenly Pool Sacred Land, not to ntion a re commoner from True Martial Country.”
“Junior Sister, you lack manners, silence yourself,” Qing Yao said, her expression turning unpleasant.
“Hmph,” Xie Linghui glared at Lin Feng fiercely, her eyes brimming with disdain and contempt, before turning away to leave.
Chen Yang comnted, “Qing Yao, there’s no need to scold Huihui for soone of such low status, especially since what Huihui said wasn’t wrong.”
Qing Yao sighed inwardly, seemingly agreeing that her tone had been too harsh earlier. She said, “Go after Huihui.”
“Then you should co quickly. Don’t associate too much with such people and tarnish your status,” Chen Yang said to Qing Yao, promptly speeding away.
