Chapter 388: Chapter 40: Demon Wall

“Run!”

Many people scread in terror and turned to flee frantically outside.

The stone coffin was too terrifying, having devoured fifteen great figures. Could it devour others as well?

No one dared to stay there any longer.

The aura emanating from inside the stone coffin grew increasingly horrific. From a tiny crack, endless black mist surged out, covering the entire cave.

“No, I cannot accept this!”

The great figures scread in terror.

Their bodies shrank rapidly, flying towards the crack in the stone coffin, but they were unable to resist.

The tragic death at Woo Shiao had just occurred before their eyes, and in a blink, it beca their turn, unable to resist, only able to accept the fate of death.

“These great figures are dood.”

“Dead fifteen great figures at once? That’s too terrifying, it will definitely cause a huge uproar in the Three Thousand States of the Heavenly Martial Continent.”

Many were utterly shocked.

It had been too many years since great figures had fallen, let alone so many at once?

“Boom.”

At that mont, a thunderous noise shook the heavens, jolting everyone. All turned their heads in surprise.

“Mad Demon.” Lin Feng exclaid.

It was Mad Demon who had rushed over; alone, his divine power defied the heavens as he closed the lid of the stone coffin.

Bang, bang, bang…

One by one, the great figures fell from the sky, landing on the ground, their faces pale, extrely fortunate to have escaped this disaster.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

However, inside the stone coffin, it seed there was an unknown terrifying existence hitting the coffin lid, attempting to kick it off.

Mad Demon lay on top of the coffin lid, his hands grabbing the edges.

He struggled to hold down the coffin lid.

“Whoosh…”

An endless surge of blood-red light emanated from the coffin.

“Hands, two hands!” A cultivator scread in terror, nearly scared to death.

Seeing that scene, Lin Feng felt as if his head was about to explode.

The stone coffin had instantly turned blood-red, and two blood-red hands reached out from inside it, grabbing Mad Demon’s neck, attempting to strangle him.

“Stone… nails… quick…”

Mad Demon’s hoarse voice echoed.

Fourteen great figures, pale-faced, now regaining their senses, hesitated no longer and quickly picked up the stone nails from the ground, then hamred them back into the coffin.

Bang… Bang… Bang…

The stone coffin shook more violently, and earth-shattering noises sounded, as an unknown power shook the coffin, trying to force it open.

But Mad Demon was strong enough; with his body, he suppressed the coffin. The two blood-colored hands broke Mad Demon’s neck, but he let out a sinister laugh, the Mad Demon, undying, had his neck quickly restored to normal.

“How can this Mad Demon be so powerful, much like those undying bodies possessed by the Undying Life?”

Lin Feng was extrely shocked.

The power of Mad Demon highlighted the terrifying nature of the stone coffin.

“If I can revive one of the Undying Phoenix Avatars among the Nine Great Holy Emperor Avatars, I too will possess undying abilities.”

Lin Feng pondered secretly, although this required a chance, unsure whether the Phoenix Primordial Spirit of the Undying Phoenix still existed in Heaven and Earth?

Crack! Crack! Crack!

The great figures hamred the stone nails back into the coffin, and after ninety-nine nails were hamred back in, finally, the stone coffin quieted down.

The two blood-colored hands that had reached out from the coffin also vanished without a trace, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

But just at that mont.

The rumbling sound exploded, and with that, the whole cave collapsed, sending everyone plumting downward.

“Is this? The Underworld?”

Lin Feng was shocked, as he had not expected there to be an underground world beneath the cave.

Mad Demon lay on top of the stone coffin, which was rapidly flying down deeper into the Underworld.

Swoosh swoosh swoosh.

Shadows descended one after another.

Surrounding them were colossal city walls and a labyrinth of intersecting passageways resembling a maze.

Lin Feng quickly made his way deeper.

Lin Feng spotted a dozen cultivators ahead when suddenly, a terrifying aura emitted from the walls on either side. Then, a mass of black fog enveloped the group.

“Ah.”

Screams echoed as the dozen cultivators vanished without a trace after their cries.

These people were not far from Lin Feng, only about twenty ters away, yet they disappeared so mysteriously.

This caused Lin Feng’s expression to turn extrely grim; those people had probably t with so misfortune, but it was unknown what had devoured them.

“Whoosh.”

Lin Feng didn’t dare stay there and quickly darted toward the distance.

However, to Lin Feng’s horror, he found himself trapped, with the path behind him gone, ensnared by walls on all sides.

Lin Feng leapt up, trying to fly away, but just as he was mid-air.

“Thump.”

A terrifying force pierced through Lin Feng’s chest.

Lin Feng’s body plumted down.

With a plop, he landed on the ground.

“No-fly zone, there is a terrifying restriction; I am trapped here.”

Lin Feng’s face was pale; he endured the intense pain and hastily took a healing elixir to stabilize his condition.

Lin Feng stood up from the ground, his expression grave as he looked around at the walls.

The walls were decorated with various demonic figures.

So depicted demons hunting, others showed demons at war with other races… Every painting was related to demons.

“What is this?”

Suddenly, Lin Feng’s face showed a terrified expression; he saw a new painting that seed to have been added recently.

It showed the dozen cultivators nailed to a rock wall.

“It’s them…”

Lin Feng felt a chill run down his spine.

These were the dozen who had just disappeared, now appearing in the mural on the wall, their deaths extrely grueso.

At that mont, fresh blood began to flow from the rock wall.

“What devoured you? Who nailed you to the rock wall?” Lin Feng murmured.

His face showed only shock and emotion.

“Whoosh.”

Suddenly, a golden light emitted from the body of one of the dead cultivators in the mural.

Then, the golden light burst out of the painting.

“What is this?” Lin Feng was surprised.

He grabbed the golden light and saw what was inside; it was a Shariputra.

“The Buddhist High Monk’s Shariputra.” Lin Feng placed the Shariputra in his incense pouch, his brow furrowed, trapped by the Demon Wall, unable to escape.

“Could it be that I will also be trapped here and beco a painting on the Demon Wall like those dozen cultivators?”

Lin Feng murmured, very unwilling, not wanting to die here.

A cold aura emanated from the Demon Wall, an endless darkness enveloped, just like it had devoured the dozen cultivators before, wanting to engulf Lin Feng. His expression turned extrely ugly as he swiftly got up, looking around with a serious deanor.
