Chapter 479: Chapter 2 The Terrifying Beast King
In the team, there were a total of twelve people. After a conversation with Han Shuo, Lin Feng learned that the young master who had helped them out was nad “Yu Fan,” whose identity seed quite mysterious. Although he spoke little, his status was extraordinary due to the presence of an old servant from the Tenth Level of Martial King Realm.
The middle-aged cultivator playing the diator was called Zhang Qiang, with a cultivation of the Eighth Layer Heaven of the Martial King Realm, which was also considerably strong.
The sword-carrying cultivator was Ning Tianlu.

Lin Feng smiled and said, “No wonder they are all so critical. They are relatives after all, and indeed birds of a feather flock together.”

However, our village is small and always bullied by other villages, allowing us only the poorest mines and hence very few rewards. Lin Feng could mostly guess the environnt around the Tianyun Mountain Range. This world was inherently survival of the fittest. Han Shuo’s village, being weak, was destined to be oppressed by the other stronger villages. Fortunately, there was a limit; other villages wouldn’t dare to push them to the brink of extinction, so Han Shuo’s village still had so space to survive.
Lin Feng could also feel that Han Shuo was bearing the hopes of his entire village, all his relatives and villagers.
The next day, the team set off.
“We could have taken an airship, but airships aren’t safe either, especially recently,” said Ning Tianlu. “A Beast King in the depths of the forest has beco very fierce, and we don’t know what has happened. Traveling by regular Beast Carriage is the safest right now.”
Everyone naturally had no objections, so they bought two Beast Carriages and drove out of the town.
The exotic beasts pulling the carriages were unicorns, known for their speed and stamina. As they traveled through the forest, on the fifth day into the woods, everyone gathered around the campfire. Guu Xin’er, looking at Lin Feng, asked, “Are you also going to the Star Cloud Pavilion for the test?”
Lin Feng had not anticipated Guu Xin’er initiating a conversation with him.
In fact, over the past few days, aside from Han Shuo, Yu Fan, and the young man nad Lan Yang, who had gotten along quite well with him, Lin Feng had hardly interacted with anyone else. Clearly, the others also did not have the interest in chatting with a cultivator from the Martial General Realm.

Guu Xin’er’s expression carried a condescending air, which Lin Feng found quite displeasing, though he didn’t retort.
Sun Yaya then said, “Of course, if soone recomnded you, with your ability, you might be able to join as a servant disciple.”
“What is a servant disciple?” Lin Feng asked.
Sun Yaya explained, “To put it nicely, it’s a disciple; to put it crudely, it’s a servant. However, even being a servant disciple isn’t sothing just anyone can do. A servant disciple can also cultivate, and if soone performs exceptionally in the future, there is still a chance to be promoted to an Outer Disciple.”
“ROAR…” Just then, a thunderous beast’s roar echoed from deep within the mountains, shaking the ground violently.
“It’s the Beast King!”
Guu Xin’er and the others turned pale with fright.
“HISS SCREECH…”
And the two unicorns, terrified, struggled free from their ropes and dashed into the forest.
“Our unicorns…”
The faces of Sun Yaya and the others darkened. With the unicorns gone, they would have to proceed on foot.
This was distressing for them, being from prestigious noble families.
The beast’s roar continued three tis, shaking the entire mountain range and cracking the ground. It was terrifying to imagine what level of Beast King resided deep within those mountains.
It was so powerful.
And it was unclear why this Beast King was so agitated.
Fortunately, the roars only lasted a few monts before fading away. However, it was clear that for everyone, it was definitely going to be a sleepless night.
The next morning, as dawn broke, the group gathered again to continue their journey, but they could only choose to walk now, for the two unicorns had run off.
As they passed through a gorge, Lin Feng slightly furrowed his brows, feeling that sothing was amiss. It was too quiet, and he vaguely sensed a terrifying aura.
By now, Lin Feng’s soul power was equivalent to the Seventh Layer Heaven of the Yin Yang Realm, and his perception was exceptionally strong. Therefore, he could usually sense danger in advance, but at this mont, Lin Feng felt a suppressing feeling, yet couldn’t detect anything specific.
“Sothing is not right here. Let’s hide,” Lin Feng said gravely.
Guu Xin’er frowned and said, “What’s wrong? You’re being overly suspicious.”
Sun Yaya pouted, “Neither of the seniors with the Tenth Level of Martial King Realm has said anything, and you, a cultivator at the Martial General Realm, are stirring up fear over what?”
“Heh, maybe so people just want to show off?” Guu Jun said with a sneer, not smiling sincerely.
Lin Feng slightly furrowed his brows but had no intention of arguing with these people. Instead, he quickened his pace toward the distance.
Han Shuo treated Lin Feng as a good friend, so without thinking, he followed Lin Feng and hid behind a rock.
Yu Fan had been getting along very well with Lin Feng these days, feeling as if he had found a kindred spirit.
Therefore, Yu Fan trusted Lin Feng unconditionally.
He whispered to an old servant, then quickly hurried to the place where Lin Feng and Han Shuo were hiding, followed by Lan Yang, Lan Qianqian, Ning Tianlu, and others.
The faces of Guu Xin’er and the others looked rather unpleasant; having just mocked Lin Feng, they didn’t expect everyone else to follow him into hiding, which was like a slap in their faces.
Everyone felt their cheeks burning with embarrassnt, but they could only swallow their anger, glaring fiercely at Lin Feng’s departing back, and followed everyone else into hiding.

Soon after, a thunderous noise ca from afar, and a massive airship appeared.
Guu Xin’er looked at Lin Feng with a cold sneer and said, “Even an airship is passing by here. You said sothing was off, making us follow your pointless fuss, what are you really up to?”
Just as Guu Xin’er finished speaking, suddenly, an imnsely horrifying aura emanated from within the gorge.
“Roar!” The roaring sound shook the mountains and the earth, and a gigantic claw reached out from the gorge, its size practically blotting out the sky.
“Beast, Beast King…” When everyone saw that huge paw shadowing the sky, their faces turned extrely pale. Now, everyone was thankful that they hadn’t entered the gorge. If they had, they might have already been dead.
“It’s the Beast King, run for your lives!”
A terrified scream ca from inside the airship, and the vessel attempted to flee into the distance, but it could not escape the giant claw.
The enormous claw, as if covering the sky, slamd down harshly.
“Bang!”
A loud crash sounded, followed by…
The airship exploded directly.
“Aah,” screams of agony filled the air as many cultivators’ bodies burst into blood mist.
So cultivators, either stronger or protected by magical treasures, did not die instantly but were severely injured. They tried to escape into the surrounding forests, hoping to save their lives.
“Whoosh.” But at that mont, a terrifying suction force emanated from the gorge, capturing all who were trying to escape. Then the wreckage of the airship, along with the cultivators and everything in midair, was quickly sucked into the gorge.
“They’re dead, all dead,” Guu Xin’er cried out in terror, her face already pale with fright.
Sun Yaya was also trembling in fear.
Guu Jun was so petrified he couldn’t move.
The others also looked incredibly pale. The Beast King was too terrifying; such a huge airship, likely carrying thousands of cultivators, was annihilated and devoured by the Beast King in an instant.
“Roar.” The Beast King, hidden deep in the gorge, let out an earth-shaking roar and then flew off into the distance. The Beast King moved too quickly for anyone to get a clear look at its body before it disappeared without a trace.
“Damd beast, you’re courting death.”
A roar ca from far away as a cultivator with a sword charged toward the Beast King flying into the depths.
“A big shot from the Yin Yang Realm!” Guu Xin’er exclaid excitedly.
