Gao Jinrui stared blankly for a mont, then broke down completely, letting out a sharp cry and bursting into tears.
Chen Chao said no more, turned, and walked out of the interrogation room.
A mont later, he pushed open the door to the monitoring room.
His face was taut as he walked in. He ignored Lv Youwei and Sun Zhao, heading straight for Shen Xin.
Then he pulled Shen Xin into a hug.
"Captain Chen..."
Shen Xin was taken aback.
Chen Chao hugged Shen Xin tightly, murmuring, "Shen Xin, thank you. Thank you!"
Shen Xin, who had been about to push him away, lowered his hands.
"Captain Chen, you don’t have to do this."
Shen Xin’s own heart felt heavy.
Chen Chao released Shen Xin and clapped him heavily on the shoulder, saying nothing more.
