"The task 'Recruit a new Association mber' has been completed. Reward: 'Great Blessing'."
So, this counts as completion?
Asakura had just received the application form, signed by Yanami Anna under his coercion and persuasion, when he heard the voice from the Naless Magic Book in his mind.
He had originally planned to divide the Chiba Magic Society into two parts: an 'outer association' primarily focused on recruiting normal Soubu High School students like Yanami to do odd-job work, serving as a cover for the 'inner association'. Its activities would be based in the Service Club room.
The 'inner association' was the true core of the Chiba Magic Society, mainly recruiting mbers who had encountered supernatural powers, like Gokou Ruri, and operating in the Association Clubroom's 9 3/4 classroom.
He had initially thought that mbers like Yanami, who were assigned to the outer association, wouldn't be recognized by the system. After all, even until her graduation, it was highly unlikely she would ever enter the true Association Clubroom.
Looking at it now, the system… or rather, the Naless Magic Book's judgnt was quite lenient. It seed he didn't need to overthink things many tis.
"Hmm…"
Asakura stroked his chin, silently observing the girl in front of him.
No, could it be that Yanami Anna, like Gokou Ruri, was also a witch completely unaware of her own nature?
"Um… could you please not look at with such a creepy gaze?" Yanami trembled like a small animal intimidated by a predator: "I just feel like Asakura-kun's gaze is like he's appraising a lamb about to be sold… When looked at like that, even my bento…"
"Sorry, I was just thinking."
Was the intimidation he used earlier too effective, leaving her with so psychological trauma? He didn't expect that just an unconscious gaze would make her lose her appetite…
"It's not as delicious anymore, munch munch…"
So you're still going to eat it, huh? If anything, your eating speed hasn't changed much!
"Then, Sergeant Anna."
"Oh? I get a military rank right away? Wait, is your club the Self-Defense Force?!"
"I have an important mission for you."
"Ignored?!"
"In short, to begin, I need a set of your uniform."
"You skipped too much, I don't know the cause and effect at all!" the girl shouted, utterly confused: "And what do you want my clothes for? While I'm quite confident in being a beautiful girl, getting excited over my things is a bit too… Pfft ga!"
Before she could finish, Asakura gave her a chop to the head.
"It's just that my junior wants to visit Soubu High School, and she doesn't like attracting attention, so she needs to borrow a set of your uniform." Asakura rubbed his palm; this girl's head was surprisingly hard: "Got it, Private First Class Anna."
"I feel like my military rank went down…" the girl mumbled, teary-eyed, rubbing her head.
Although she felt sowhat suspicious of Asakura's explanation, Yanami eventually agreed to bring a change of clothes—Asakura felt that besides his promise to let her et that junior (Ruri), the additional 100 yen per day rental fee was the main factor that swayed her heart.
Watching the girl happily eating two red bean buns, which she pulled out from who knows where after finishing her bento, Asakura couldn't help but sigh inwardly, amidst her sowhat embarrassed explanation of "These are desserts, they go into a separate stomach": This girl is truly a monster of material desires.
As lunch break neared its end, Asakura handed Yanami's application form to Hiratsuka Shizuka just as the warning bell rang.
The latter stared at it for a long ti, finally unable to resist pointing at the application and asking him: "What's with the water stains here? You didn't threaten her into joining and scare her into crying, did you?"
"Saliva." Asakura swore confidently: "This is saliva."
If the application had been from anyone else, Hiratsuka Shizuka would never have believed him. But upon seeing that the applicant was Yanami Anna, she paused for a mont, then put the application into her drawer, clearly acknowledging its validity.
"Although it's strange for to say this, is it really okay to be so hasty, Hiratsuka-sensei? Theoretically, if I recruit just one more person, the club will be stable, you know?" Asakura couldn't help but ask.
"It's fine."
Hiratsuka Shizuka completely disregarded his doubt: "The mont you chose Yanami, I already foresaw the demise of your clowning club…"
"Is that guy so kind of club destroyer?" Asakura showed a sowhat surprised expression: "I can't tell."
A so-called club destroyer refers to so girls who intentionally join male-dominated clubs. In such clubs, being the sole female often grants them preferential treatnt from other mbers. Whether to satisfy their sense of superiority or to enjoy watching others compete for their affection (a common female psychology), in such situations, a slight provocation from the club princess can easily create conflict among male mbers. This conflict then deepens, ultimately leading to the entire club's disintegration.
And the club princess, as the instigator, would then sharpen her knives and begin searching for the next target club to parasitize…
In short, in Asakura's words from his previous life, so-called club destroyers are essentially a bunch of green tea bitches.
However, while Yanami might appear sowhat "bitchy" to unsuspecting people in daily life, anyone who spends so ti with her would discover that her "bitchiness" is entirely superficial. Once she opens her mouth, her whole persona is enveloped by a silly aura—this can be seen from how many girls in her class feed Yanami during break tis, treating her like so kind of large pet.
If this silliness was entirely an act, then her acting skills would be far too good; he hadn't seen even a tiny flaw in his interactions with her.
Conversely, Hiratsuka Shizuka, who could see through this, was indeed quite formidable…
Hiratsuka Shizuka shook her head: "No, what I an is, snack expenses, snack expenses, and snack expenses."
Formidable my ass!
So she ans the average club would be eaten into bankruptcy by her!
Asakura loudly retorted in his mind.
"Even so," Hiratsuka Shizuka looked at Asakura and said seriously: "Asakura-kun, you must not have too negative a view of her."
"I think the person with the most negative view of her is you, Hiratsuka-sensei!"
Speaking of which, neither the current temporary club nor the circle would receive funding from the school.
Thinking of this, Asakura couldn't help but start worrying about his wallet.
