Li Mo, or rather, the young man now known as 'Asakura Takuma,' was a transmigrator.
In his previous life, he was a half-baked occult enthusiast, the type who would buy a pile of books like "The Key of Solomon," "Dead Sea Scrolls," and "Encyclopedia of Fantastic Beasts," but only skimd them, mainly using them to boast in online chat groups.
Then, during an offline eting where he acquired an obscure but very mystical-looking leather-bound Magic Book from an online friend, he was sent to another world by a dump truck traveling at eighty kiloters per hour.
Fortunately, this world was not a crisis-ridden apocalypse, nor a bizarre world where sanity constantly plumted. After Asakura confird it multiple tis, it seed to be just a normal, everyday world.
After gradually getting used to life in the new world, he accidentally encountered so characters that originally only existed in ani.
Only then did he realize that he hadn't transmigrated to another world but had been sent to the second dinsion…
Originally, he planned to rely on his two lifetis of insight and maturity beyond his age to plan his future path early and beco an undisputed winner in life, but he found that the developnt of this world itself was quite different from his original Earth.
For example, Tencent was sold for 300,000 before it took off, but it collapsed midway and never beca the giant it was in the original world.
Steve Jobs, after leaving Apple, founded his own new brand, but it was swallowed by the river of history due to product sales failures and a broken capital chain, leading to Nokia replacing Apple's position in the original world, and so on…
Having lost his prophetic abilities, he could only rely on himself—the parents of this body had died in a plane crash two years ago while on an overseas business trip, leaving him an orphan.
If it weren't for his distant aunt acting as Asakura's guardian and sending him a monthly allowance so he could still live alone in Chiba, Asakura might have already been sent to an orphanage.
After repeated confirmation, Asakura had to realize that he hadn't beco more powerful after transmigrating; standard protagonist abilities like photographic mory simply didn't exist, he had almost no talent, and all his skills were rely average.
If he hadn't suddenly found the Magic Book in his attic—the very one he was holding just before he transmigrated—Asakura would have started to wonder why he transmigrated at all.
Before transmigrating, he was just an ordinary person, indistinguishable from the crowd; after transmigrating, he was still just an ordinary person, so wasn't this transmigration pointless?
The Magic Book's cover had no na, but upon touching Asakura's body, it imdiately transford into a streak of light and disappeared into him.
Subsequently, a 'System' awakened in Asakura's mind—according to the information within, the Naless Magic Book would gradually transmit the inheritance of Magic to its chosen current owner in a form they could understand, after a series of assessnts.
Because Asakura, influenced by web novels, thought this thing was a System, it appeared in the form of a System.
If he had transmigrated a decade or so earlier, perhaps what was in his head now would have been an old naless grandfather.
The current Magic Book would issue 'tasks,' or assessnts, in the form of a System.
Completing 'tasks' would grant a portion of the inheritance, possibly various Magic items, or perhaps just a single Magic.
But problems followed.
The world Asakura transmigrated from had no supernatural elents, so he naturally had no energy like Magic power, and most Magic items required Magic power to operate, let alone Magic.
This led to Asakura diligently completing tasks, only to receive a pile of fashionable little trinkets that he could look at but not use.
The reason he still enthusiastically undertook tasks was, firstly, that the Naless Magic Book in his mind was the only thing that made him different from others; although he didn't aspire to be a protagonist, he felt it would be hard to give up just like that.
Secondly, he occasionally obtained so valuable items, such as gemstones for alchemy materials, which were real gemstones and could be sold for a good amount of money.
Currently, Asakura, despite a monthly living allowance of less than 3,000 yen, has no worries about food and drink, and even has a comfortable surplus, thanks to his previous sale of a very high-quality Phosphophyllite.
The System also provided solutions for his lack of Magic power, which prevented him from using Magic items and Magic.
One was life modification, transforming Asakura himself into a creature like a Lich, which would naturally grant him Magic power to use.
Asakura naturally refused this option emphatically.
Although he wasn't a pure-blooded human supremacist with a psychological aversion, and even found cyborgs in so cyberpunk works quite cool, modifying his own body was still too radical for him.
Thus, this type of plan was locked away in the deepest recesses of his mind; unless he reached the limit of his natural lifespan, or encountered so accident one day that left him with only a brain and a mouth, he would most likely not touch such things.
The second thod was to use himself as a container for Magic power, and then, by coming into contact with magical things, absorb Magic power for his own use.
In a sense, it was sowhat similar to using himself as a battery, charging it in various ways to drive Magic items and Magic.
The ideal dium for charging… or rather, for replenishing Magic, would of course be Magic Stones, but unfortunately, Asakura had not yet received such rewards from the Naless Magic Book.
So the Naless Magic Book proposed that he could absorb 'mystery' from so supernatural existences through contact and convert it into Magic power.
It was only at that mont that Asakura finally realized that this seemingly ordinary world he had transmigrated into was not as peaceful as it appeared on the surface.
Considering that monsters, ghosts, and the like were not benevolent, Asakura naturally wasn't arrogant enough to think he could, as a mortal, contend with those incredible existences.
So he decided that until he obtained tools like Magic Stones from the System that could replenish his Magic, he would not venture into 'that world.'
That's right, the words he had spoken to Hiratsuka Shizuka earlier were rely pleasantries; he was simply completing the task given by the Naless Magic Book: 'Establish a [Magic Society] within the school.'
At this mont, he was already heading to the old school building with light steps.
Because the System's reward this ti seed different from usual; it wasn't a Magic item directly placed in his backpack or pocket, nor was it a Magic that appeared directly in his mind, but a strange ssage.
[Task completed, obtained 'Headquarters - Chiba Magic Society, located in Classroom 9 3/4, 2nd floor, Soubu High School Old School Building']
