The afternoon sun cast its rays over Chiba Port, and the sea breeze gently brushed by, carrying the unique salty scent of the ocean.
Tourists gathered in twos and threes in front of the Chiba Port Tower, looking up at the towering white landmark building. The 125-ter-tall tower resembled a giant ship with sails unfurled, appearing particularly magnificent against the blue sky and white clouds.
Exclamations occasionally ca from the crowd, and cara shutters clicked one after another. Everyone was eager to ascend to the top of the tower to overlook the stunning scenery of Tokyo Bay.
However, when their gaze fell upon the notice board at the base of the tower, their excited expressions instantly froze.
The sign clearly read: "Due to equipnt maintenance, Chiba Port Tower is temporarily closed. Reopening ti will be announced separately."
The lettering was cold and official, like a bucket of cold water poured over everyone's hearts.
A young tourist sighed, disappointed, and put away his cara, muttering, "What a sha, I specially ca all the way from Osaka, but I can't get in."
His companion patted him on the shoulder and said with a wry smile, "No choice, let's co again next ti. At least we can still take a few photos outside."
A couple nearby also showed helpless expressions.
The girl looked up at the top of the tower, her eyes full of reluctance: "I heard the night view from the top of the tower is especially beautiful, and there's that lovers' sanctuary... It would be great if we could go on a pilgrimage to the sanctuary."
The boy gently held her hand and comforted her, "It's okay, we can go to the nearby Chiba Port Market. I heard the seafood there is delicious."
"Is there soone on the observation deck?"
The tourist with the cara suddenly pointed towards the direction near the top of the tower and said.
"You must have just seen it wrong, right? Or it's maintenance workers or sothing."
His companion cupped his hand over his eyes and looked out, saying.
"Speaking of which, I rember this place has been under maintenance for over a week now, how co it's still not fixed?"
A middle-aged tourist said indignantly.
"The efficiency of the Japan City Hall... right?"
Another tourist said.
Everyone smiled knowingly, cursing the incompetence of the pri minister and congressn. For a mont, the relationship among the people in the tour group, who were originally strangers, beca much closer, and the atmosphere beca harmonious.
At the top of Chiba Port Tower, on the observation deck known as the 'Sky House,' a long-haired girl in a black dress stood by the railing, her empty, lifeless gaze overlooking the myriad of beings below.
But she did not make remarks such as 'Look, humans are like trash'; instead, after watching for a mont, she walked into the tower.
The room below the observation deck was a huge hall-like space.
However, this spacious area, which would normally be breathtaking, now appeared much narrower and cramped.
Being in it felt like being swallowed by a giant monster, with the walls covered in dark red, constantly wriggling flesh.
The flesh was also covered with white spherical objects, like the eggs laid by so parasitic monster, except these eggs were excessively large.
Upon closer inspection, one would find that these so-called 'eggs' were actually identical human faces.
Every so often, a human face would begin to contort as if in imnse pain, opening its mouth to emit a sound akin to a shriek, and then exhaling golden or red misty bubbles from its mouth, slowly floating towards the center of the room.
In the center of the room, the misty bubbles that had converged had already transford into a light mass larger than a private car, suspended in mid-air like a giant crystal chandelier, casting strange and dazzling light that illuminated the room, which should have been very dim due to the windows being covered by flesh, as if it were dayti.
At this mont, a human face on the wall suddenly let out an exceptionally high-pitched shriek, followed by its entire head exploding like a waterlon hit by a baseball bat on the beach. A thick, dark red pus imdiately burst out, staining several surrounding human faces a filthy dark red.
The girl slowly walked into the room, approached the location of the exploded face, and retrieved a seed-like object shimring with iridescent light from the remaining half of the head.
"Failed to bring the chosen 'Holy Mother' to the column of Incarnation... but at least the minimum outco was ensured..."
The dazzling light of the seed suddenly shone on the girl's numb face.
Then, she revealed an expression as if waking from a nightmare.
After a mont of confusion, the girl's pupils rapidly constricted in the dim light. Her lips trembled slightly, as if she wanted to scream, but no sound ca out.
Her throat felt as if an invisible hand was gripping it, making even breathing difficult.
Her brows were tightly furrowed, veins subtly appearing on her forehead, and her entire face was distorted by extre tension.
However, before she could perform any effective action, the 'human' color on the girl's face rapidly faded, and a certain will reoccupied her body. As if nothing had happened, she expressionlessly threw the seed in her hand into the light mass suspended in mid-air.
The light of the light mass instantly beca subdued and subtle, followed by a layer of milky white mbrane seeping out from the light mass, enveloping it and transforming the light mass from 'amorphous' into sothing tangibly existing.
A mont later, a black substance appeared out of thin air in the center of the originally empty light mass.
That was a certain 'embryo' that did not originally exist in this world.
The mont it appeared, the entire world seed to produce a strange noise, as if sothing that should not exist had appeared. However, because it did not forcefully descend into this world by tearing through space, but rather 'birthed' its way in, almost reasonably and legally smuggling itself into this world, the world itself could not directly banish it like a foreign object.
If it were allowed to be born, perhaps even the entire world would be affected by it and transford into a different form.
The surrounding human faces also seed to be summoned by so force, opening their eyes in unison, making the entire scene incredibly eerie.
Yet, the girl seed oblivious, rely interlocking her fingers, then closing her eyes, and began to sing a strange song, and the human faces joined in the chorus.
"Kuri Tia, Kuri Tia, Great Light."
"You shall incarnate and descend upon this blasphemous world."
"The lives of a thousand people will beco your incarnate placenta..." "The seeds of ten thousand beasts will infuse you with the spiritual light of life."
"Kuri Tia, Kuri Tia, Great Light."
"The laws of the eternal world are no longer your shackles..." "From now on, the world will be inverted, and this place shall be promised as our new ho."
