She sat up, her hand pressed to her dizzy head.

Seeing that she was awake, "Shion" crawled toward her excitedly.

Her mories gradually returned. "Shuna" recalled what had happened before she lost consciousness.
"This is…our village…"
Gazing around, the once-familiar surroundings were now in ruins, and it pained "Shuna" to see it.
The Oni clan was no more. She had no idea whether her brother or the others were alive or dead.
"Treyni, find them sowhere to rest. I need to step away for a bit,"
Rei Ao spoke up at this point.
Turning to "Shion," he said, "Explain everything to her yourself. When I co back, I want your answer."
With those words, he vanished from where he stood, along with Velzard and Velgrynd.
"He's…"
"Shuna" only rembered the monts before she lost consciousness. She had no clue what had happened afterward. Besides the now-departed Rei Ao and the other two, she didn't recognize any of them.
"Princess, it's…a long story…"
"Shion" bit down on her lip, at a loss for how to explain everything.
Was she supposed to say she'd 'sold off' the princess while she was unconscious?
"Everyone," Treyni interjected, "this isn't the best place to talk. Please allow to take you all to the territory of the tree sprites."
Shizuehad no objections.
Futaba and Rio, still reeling from the flood of recent events, followed in silence.

"This castle looks pretty good," Rei Ao remarked as he and the other two stood at the gates of a massive fortress.
He looked over at Velzard. "So, that guy's here?"
Velzard nodded. "Yes, this place belongs to the Primordial Red—Guy Crimson."
"Rei Ao, are you sure it's okay to just barge in and challenge him like this?" Velgrynd asked worriedly.
Even though she sensed that Rei Ao's power had grown again after defeating the Orc Demon Lord, he still hadn't reached "Disaster" level. That was her impression, based on what she knew.

He'd gained another level after killing the Orc Demon Lord, but 56 was still a fair distance from Velzard and Velgrynd in terms of perception.
Guy Crimson, the Primordial Red, was definitely stronger than Velgrynd—likely at level 64 or beyond.
Even so, Rei Ao simply smirked, completely at ease. "Don't forget, I hold the position of 'Demon Lord.'"
Hearing that, both Velzard and Velgrynd's eyes lit up.

A gale roared up, and a vortex of black-red wind suddenly ford in front of them.
"Two Dragonoids and a human with Calamity-level power…what an odd group. And…who allowed you to set foot here?!"

His tone was equal parts casual arrogance and regal authority, followed by an explosive gust of energy surging toward the trio.
"Guy, oh mighty Primordial Red—so you'd pull small tricks like this to greet your guests?"
Velzard murmured, swinging her pale arm in a single motion. An icy wind buffeted aside the opposing force.
As she spoke, a lone figure appeared:
A red-haired man wearing an open coat over his bare, muscular upper body, with a black hairband around his head.
He eyed Rei Ao and the others with amused curiosity.
"Uninvited visitors don't qualify as guests," he said.
"State your business, or I'll see to it that this world loses two Dragonoids."
His voice was domineering and haughty—fitting for the power he possessed. This, of course, was precisely what got under Velgrynd's skin.
"Hmph! Arrogant blowhard. Soday soone's going to teach you a lesson," she snapped.
"Not soday—today soone will teach him a lesson."
Rei Ao stepped forward with a smile.
Guy's eyes widened for a mont as Rei Ao declared, "Guy Crimson—Dark Emperor—oldest of the Demon Lords… Are you ready to get pumled?"
"Tch? Hahahahaha!"
Guy burst into laughter as though hearing a ridiculous joke. Rei Ao didn't bother interrupting him. After a few monts, Guy's laughter stopped. His gaze cooled.
"You. A re Calamity-level. Planning to beat ?"
He couldn't fathom where Rei Ao got such confidence. Were the two Dragonoids behind him giving him courage? Dragonoids were indeed strong, but Guy believed himself capable of beating them.
Indeed, Guy's power was far above Velzard's.

"A Demon Lord…" Guy muttered, bewildered. "That human, who was only at Calamity-level, suddenly beca…a Demon Lord? And his magic energy…exceeds even that of the Star King Dragon, whom I've never beaten!?"
"The limits of a Demon Lord… The power of that position… Ha, I like this!"
Rei Ao clenched his right fist. A trendous power coursed through him, making every cell in his body quiver with excitent.
Just now, he had activated the power of "Demon Lord."
And in this world, that allowed him to ascend fully to Demon Lord rank, achieving the apex of that position.
