Rei Ao snapped his fingers and instantly appeared on the beach, now holding an oversized sun‑umbrella and several deck chairs.
"Alright, ladies,"
he clapped his hands to draw everyone's attention.
"Our seaside party officially starts now! Whatever you want to eat or play, just tell —or simply shout my na."
He pointed toward the sea not far away.
"I've marked out a safe zone over there. Whether you can swim or not, you can relax—my magic will keep you protected."
"Wow! Master, you're amazing!"
Satania, dressed in a little‑devil swimsuit, was the first to cheer. She opened her arms, ready to dash straight for the water, but Raphiel caught her by the hand.
Raphiel's pure‑white suit, trimd with lace, made her look angelic.
"Hold on, Satania—sunblock first."
With a resigned sigh, Raphiel took out the lotion and began spreading it over the overly‑excited demon girl.
Everyone else set about their own tasks:
So applied sunscreen, others grabbed drinks, and a few bolted straight for the shoreline.
Just then,
Vignette—blushing in a violet swimsuit—shuffled over to Rei Ao and whispered, "Rei Ao‑kun, Gab-chan… she's still in the changing room and refuses to co out. She says she wants to keep playing her ga…"
"Oh?"
Rei Ao's lips curved into a aningful smile.
Glancing at the group already enjoying themselves, he decided to sort out Gabriel's "problem" first.
"You guys have fun here. I'll go fetch Gabbie."
With that, he headed toward the changing cabins.
…
Inside, Gabriel sat on a bench, hugging a handheld console and muttering:
"What's so great about a beach, anyway? Gas are way more fun."
She wore a cute white two‑piece printed with cartoon characters—sharp contrast to her usual slouchy image.
All her attention was on the ga; she didn't notice a thing around her.
Suddenly,
Rei Ao's figure appeared before her without warning.
"Eek—!"
Startled, Gabriel nearly flung the console. She stared at him in alarm.
"W‑Why are you in here? This is the ladies' changing room!"
"P‑Pervert!"
"Ah, so that's what you call now? Funny—when you needed a loan you sure weren't saying that, Gabriel."
Rei Ao advanced with a mischievous grin and pinched her chin lightly.
"What's wrong? Put on a swimsuit and suddenly you don't want to go outside? I was looking forward to seeing my Gab-chan having fun on the beach."
Gabriel's cheeks flad crimson and she struggled to push him away.
"S‑Stop that! Let go!"
She wasn't afraid of Rei Ao—she was afraid of losing her composure.
One touch from him and her body went haywire.
Rei Ao ignored the resistance; his hand slid from her cheek down her slender neck, savoring the softness of her skin.
"Be good and co out with ," he murmured next to her ear, "otherwise… I might have to punish you right here."
Gabriel trembled violently. mories of that day flooded back, and her body reacted on its own.
She bit her lip, eyes brimming with shy defiance.
"Um… Raphiel, I'm getting worried that Rei Ao‑kun can't coax Gab-chan out."
Just then voices drifted in from outside the door—Vignette and Raphiel.
"Where is Gabriel? Why isn't she out yet?" Vignette sounded puzzled.
"No idea. Let's go check," Raphiel replied.
Hearing them, Gabriel's face turned deathly pale.
She shoved Rei Ao, panicked. "They're coming! Hide!"
But Rei Ao stayed calm. Spotting a nearby locker, he flashed a wicked smile.
Before Gabriel could react, he pulled her inside the locker and closed the door with a soft click.
The cramped space pressed Gabriel tight against him; she could hear his heartbeat and breathing clearly.
Holding her breath, she prayed the others wouldn't notice.
…
Vignette and Raphiel pushed open the changing‑room door.
They looked around but saw no sign of Rei Ao or Gabriel.
"That's odd. Where'd they go?" Vignette blinked.
Raphiel's gaze swept the room and settled on a locker that quivered ever so slightly. She pursed her lips, almost smiling, then shook her head.
"Maybe they already stepped out sowhere else. With Rei Ao‑kun around, there's nothing to worry about. Let's go."
"True—he is incredible," Vignette agreed. She couldn't imagine anyone threatening him.
They left.
Inside the locker
"Phew…"
Only when the footsteps faded did Gabriel dare exhale.
She looked up—only to find Rei Ao's face inches from hers, his warm breath fanning her cheeks.
"Y‑You're unbelievable!" she hissed, her face as red as a boiled shrimp. The usual laziness and sharp tongue had lted into powerless scolding.
"What if they had found us?"
Rei Ao chuckled. His fingertips traced the rim of her swimsuit, savoring the silky touch of her skin.
"And if they had?" he whispered against her ear.
"No one can peek in here; my magic blocks all surveillance, and no sound gets out."
He paused, eyeing her cheeks puffed out in sha and anger.
"Besides, who was it that said 'Gas are more fun than a beach'? Seems I'm more entertaining than your console, hmm?"
"Shut up!"
Gabriel tried to slap a hand over his mouth, but Rei Ao easily caught her wrist and pinned it against the cold tal wall.
In the narrow darkness, they were so close they could read every flicker in each other's eyes:
Gabriel's panic and bashfulness mingled with an unspoken hint of yielding—and a shimr of tears that betrayed both delight and mortified embarrassnt.
