Great, he managed to annoy all four of us at once.

"Seito-kun, just turn back around. Class is about to start," Asuna said, pointing at the clock.

As soon as she spoke, Hiratsuka and the little secretary returned to their seats with perfect synchronization. Seito turned around lazily and slumped onto his desk to sleep.

Half an hour later...

It was currently Shizuka Hiratsuka's period. Since Seito had scored perfectly on the previous test, she simply left him to his own devices. But just then, a figure appeared at the back door, giving Shizuka a start.

It was a woman who looked to be in her mid-twenties. She was elegant, with fair, porcelain skin, dressed in a crisp, white business suit that looked impeccably sharp. Her long legs, clad in black stockings, moved with grace as she stepped into the classroom in high heels.

This was the Chairwoman of Sobu High, Minami Yomiko! She was also the mother of Kotori Minami.

Seeing Minami Yomiko enter, Shizuka instinctively glanced at the sleeping Seito. That peculiar look drew the attention of the entire class. The students turned toward the back door, and upon seeing the Chairwoman, they stiffened as if facing a formidable enemy, instantly sharpening their focus. This was the classic "Principal Phobia" in action.

Minami Yomiko's gaze landed on Seito. She asked curiously, "Hiratsuka-sensei, what's the deal with this student?"

"He..." Shizuka hesitated, unsure of how to explain. Finally, after racking her brain, she squeezed out a sentence: "Why don't you wake him up yourself, Chairwoman, and see?"

Intrigued, Minami Yomiko nodded. She trusted Shizuka's teaching standards and knew she wouldn't give up on any student. Yet, Seito was the only one she had ever seen sleeping through Shizuka's class.

Taking a long stride, Minami Yomiko walked over to Seito and placed a slender hand on his shoulder, giving it a gentle shake.

"Student, wake up~."

Seito stirred, his head still a bit foggy. As his hazy vision focused on Minami Yomiko, he blurted out instinctively:

"Madam... you wouldn't want anything to happen to Kotori, would you?"

Minami Yomiko: "..."

Shizuka Hiratsuka: "..."

The whole class: "..."

The entire room fell into a collective state of shock.

Holy crap! You're actually that brave?! You really just said that to the Chairwoman!

By now, Seito's brain was fully awake. As his eyes t Minami Yomiko's, he realized exactly what he had just said. A heavy silence hung over the classroom for a full minute before Minami Yomiko took a deep breath to steady her emotions.

"Student, co with for a mont."

"You got it!" Seito stood up and followed her out. As he left the room, he flashed a cheeky grin at her.

In the hallway...

Walking beside Minami Yomiko, Seito couldn't help but speak up. "Chairwoman, what were you thinking last week? Sending those girls from the Light Music Club to the competition? It's like they were trying to embarrass the school."

Minami Yomiko thought for a second and replied, "Sobu High school is the top school in Chiba City; we need so publicity. However, I've given that opportunity to soone else now. If you're interested, you can head to the auditorium this Friday afternoon to watch the performance by the

[School Idol] group, μ's."

Despite her high position, Minami Yomiko wasn't a stiff, old-fashioned principal. She was cheerful and found it easy to connect with students. Of course, it didn't hurt that she was quite stunning. Seito felt a sudden urge to "protect" this madam personally.

He reflected on the differences in this world. In the ani, Minami Yomiko ran an all-girls school on the brink of closure, which is why the idols started. Here, it was rely for recruitnt publicity. The stakes were very different.

"Speaking of which, what's with you?"

Minami Yomiko's tone turned sharp.

"Everyone else is studying hard; why are you the only one sleeping?"

Faced with her authoritative aura, Seito replied calmly, "The Grade 1 curriculum isn't exactly a challenge. I didn't listen to a single class last week, and when Shizuka-sensei gave us a small test yesterday, I got a perfect score. Who's to bla for that?"

He was essentially saying: I already know everything. Listening is boring. If I don't sleep, am I supposed to just stare at the wall?

"So, you're a genius then~," Minami Yomiko said with a hint of surprise.

"Sothing like that," Seito smiled.

"Fine. You can head back to class then."

"Don't be like that!" Seito protested.

"Chairwoman, I think I should join you on your inspection. If I go back, I'll just sleep again. Might as well find sothing useful to do."

Minami Yomiko found so logic in that. "Alright, follow ."

"Understood!"

They checked Class 1-C first, finding no major issues, before heading toward Class 1-B. Seito walked through the back door with a serious expression.

"Why are you here?" Ryuen Kakeru spotted Seito and asked, confused.

"Shut it!" Seito barked. He marched up to Ryuen and pointed a finger right at his nose. "Daydreaming in class? You think you're a big shot? Co out and stand in the hall!"

The teacher at the podium and the rest of the class stared. Ryuen's jaw tightened as he prepared to snap back, but then he saw Minami Yomiko walking in behind Seito. He swallowed his words instantly. The teacher also shivered at the sight of the Chairwoman.

"Student, please co out and stand with us for a while," Minami Yomiko added, not rejecting Seito's bold suggestion.

Ryuen stood up and followed them out, leaving Class 1-B in a state of bewildered murmurs.

In the hallway...

Looking at Ryuen standing stiffly before him, Seito said with mock authority: "Stand up straight!"
