When Seito and Amou kirukiru entered Class A, they imdiately spotted Kanade Tachibana slumped over her desk, which gave them pause. Did she not sleep well last night?

Thinking this, the two walked over to her side. "Kanade, did you not get enough rest?" Seito asked, gently shaking her shoulder.

"Ugh..." Kanade lifted her head, looking dazed and weary. "Seito-kun... I feel terrible..."

Hearing this, Seito and Amou exchanged a quick look. Seito reached out his right hand and placed it on Kanade's forehead. After a mont, he turned to Amou.

"Kanade has a fever. Let's both take a leave of absence to go ho and look after her."

Even though they hadn't noticed anything off that morning, she was definitely burning up now.

"Alright," Amou agreed, not wanting to delay.

Seito helped Kanade up and hoisted her onto his back. Under the watchful eyes of their classmates, the two of them escorted Kanade out of Class A.

High School Faculty Office.

Seito, with Kanade still on his back, stood before Shizuka Hiratsuka. Nearby, Amou was speaking with Mafuyu Kirisu.

"So, you're saying you both need to head back now to take care of Tachibana-san?"

Shizuka stubbed out her cigarette.

"Yes," Seito nodded.

"Fine. Go ahead. I'll let Class A's horoom teacher know when they co by," Shizuka said, not making things difficult. Kanade's condition clearly wasn't good.

"Thank you." Seito offered a rare word of gratitude. Seeing that Amou had also secured her leave, the two left the office and hurried toward a secluded area.

Two minutes later...

Using Instant Transmission, Seito teleported the three of them directly into his ho. They entered Kanade's room together. While Amou readied the bed, Seito laid Kanade down and tucked her in.

Placing a hand on her forehead, Seito activated his skill: [Life Healing!]

Whoosh—!

Threads of soft, white light seeped into Kanade's body. Instantly, her pained expression softened, and she drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep.

"You have a healing skill? Why didn't you use it at school?" Amou asked, stunned.

"If I used it at school, would we have been able to co ho?" Seito chuckled. He had simply used the illness as a convenient excuse for an early exit.

"So, what do we do now?" Amou inquired.

"Take care of Kanade. Logging into the ga right now isn't that appealing anyway,"

Seito replied after a mont's thought. Even though Kanade was technically cured, he wasn't in the mood for the virtual world.

Amou's lips curled into a slight smile. "I have sothing fun in mind. Want to try?"

"Oh? What is it?" Seito's interest was piqued.

"Co, let's head out of this room first."

Amou led the way out, and Seito followed.

Two hours later...

Lying on his bed, Seito had entered "Sage Mode." He had to admit, Amou was truly his best friend; she knew his preferences so well it was almost overwhelming!

Suddenly craving a quiet mont, Seito slowly stood up. He left the bedroom, glanced toward the bathroom where Amou was showering, and then walked into the kitchen. He took a whole chicken out of the fridge and began simring a soup.

An hour later...

Carrying the freshly made chicken soup, Seito walked out to find Amou sitting at the dining table, looking exhausted. He walked over and set it down.

"Drink so soup. It's warm."

"Okay." Amou took a few sips and smiled.

"With this, we really can't be apart anymore."

"That's right," Seito smiled. "I'll help you back to your room in a bit. It's probably hard for you to walk right now."

"Yeah," Amou didn't decline. Once she had finished all she could, she let out a yawn. "I need to sleep for a bit too."

Seito supported her as they walked to her room. Once she was settled on the bed, he withdrew his hands. "I'm going now. Get so rest."

Amou nodded and snuggled into the blankets. Seito retreated to the living room and stretched out on the sofa. Both Amou and Kanade were sleeping, and he still didn't want to play the ga. That left only one option!

Go see Haruno Yukinoshita!

Why not Sora and Shiro? They were probably just waking up and eating.

He stood up, left his place, and knocked on Haruno's door.

Bang, bang, bang!

There was silence for a second before the door swung open. Haruno stood there, smiling at him. "Is school over already? Why isn't little Yukino back yet?"

It was indeed around the ti Sobu High usually let out; Yukino would likely be ho soon.

"I was just bored, so I ca over to chat," Seito said with a grin.

"Then co on in." Haruno pulled him inside and closed the door. As she got close, she imdiately caught a scent on him. It was a fragrance she had slled on Amou before, but never this strong.

Wait...

"What exactly were you doing at ho just now?" Haruno's expression shifted. She was his fiancée, after all! To realize she might not have been the first... it made her quite upset.

"Ahem... it's exactly what you're guessing," Seito answered awkwardly. Haruno rarely got genuinely angry unless her interests were directly at stake.

Haruno took a deep breath and suddenly grabbed Seito's right hand.

"Co with !"
