"That works for ." Seito offered a bright, cheerful grin.

"Would you like to co over for a visit, Seito-kun?" she invited.

"I'd love to."

She was montarily stunned. She had expected him to refuse, but since he'd accepted, it was a perfect opportunity to see what kind of person he really was. She clutched the takoyaki she had just bought.

"Are you out for a stroll?"

"Not exactly. Just walking around, grabbing a bite. I haven't had dinner yet," Seito replied. He turned to the shopkeeper. "Boss, two orders of takoyaki, please."

"Coming right up!"

After paying via his phone and receiving the steaming takoyaki, he tucked in.

"Shall we go?" Mrs. Yuigahama asked.

"Let's."

They walked side-by-side toward the Yuigahama residence. As they strolled, she made small talk. "What do Seito-kun's parents do for a living?"

"I'm an orphan."

She fell silent. She felt terrible—the very first question had hit a landmine.

"Don't worry about it, Mrs. Yuigahama. I'm used to living on my own," Seito said, smoothly deflecting the tension. He pivoted the conversation: "What did your husband do for a living?"

"He passed away in a car accident when Yui was in elentary school."
