The people were still stunned after seeing how calmly Clovis could talk to a Tier 9 explorer. People who had reached Tier 9 were considered a walking natural disaster since they could easily destroy cities and even disrupt a country's economy, which would lead to its eventual destruction.
However, Clovis was also known to be the grandson of a Tier 9 human. Was it where all his confidence ca from?
But after listening to their conversation, it didn't seem like Mara knew Clovis personally.
"Clovis… You…" Aileen wanted to say sothing, but there were simply too many questions on her mind.
"Do you want so? I got a bunch." Clovis casually grabbed one for himself while opening the bag so that Aileen could get it. In addition, "By the way, Kanaria, co down as well and take your portion."
"This is not the ti for that." Aileen's mouth was shaking as if she had prepared nurous words to stop him, but she was just too frustrated to say all of them.
"Oh. I'll take one." Erwin casually grabbed one as if he had done sothing like this before.
"Erwin. You…" Aileen was speechless.
"What? If you don't want, then that's fine." Erwin shrugged. He glanced at Albert and asked, "By the way, do you want one too, sir?" There are ten of them. Six for our group, so there are four left."
"Oh. Is that so? I'll take one then." Albert nodded with a serious expression. Since all of them only took one, he thought this was what the Tier 9 explorer wanted. While getting the burger from Erwin, he couldn't help but ask, "The way you are so casual about it, have you seen her before this?"
"Yes." Erwin nodded. "We t her before coming here…"
"Good job." Albert patted Erwin's shoulders while laughing out loud.
"Ahaha. It's not like I was the one she ca for." Erwin shrugged while glancing at Clovis. He then grabbed one for Aileen. "Are you sure you don't want one?"
"…" Aileen gave up on comnting on this matter anymore and just grabbed the burger from his hand.
Clovis, on the other hand, gave his share to his teammates.
Still, even with Albert and Aileen, there were still two of them left.
"Clovis… There are two of them left…" Albert was rubbing his hands together.
"I want one too!" Surprisingly, Friday was running at full speed after regaining his composure.
"Tsk." Albert clicked his tongue.
"You can't monopolize it, you old fox." Friday glared at him while extending his hands politely. Considering this person handled the Tier 6 beast, he just gave him one.
"Well, there is one left…" Noel looked down. No one would say anything if he ate the last one since Mara gave it to him, but Clovis turned around and handed it to the six guys that helped them. "I don't know how you're going to take care of this, but I guess you guys should get the last one. Either pick a single person or split it into six."
"Ohhh!"
"Wait !"
"I'll take it!"
"You bastards, stop!"
"It's mine!"
They ended up fighting over it. Ragna tilted his head in confusion as he couldn't help but ask, "lody. Why are they fighting about it? This hamburger is from a fast food restaurant, right?"
"Don't ask ." lody shrugged. "I don't know what's on their mind."
"It is not just a normal hamburger once it's given by a Tier 9 explorer." Jay shook his head. "Once you're from a prominent family, you will notice this more often."
"Not a normal hamburger? There is nothing special about the taste, no?" Ragna asked.
"Nope. It's just… The Tier 9 explorer's identity has turned it into a special burger. As you already know, there are only ten Tier 9 explorers in the whole world, right? It's already extrely hard to et soone like them even in the news, let alone in person."
"Now that you talk about it, that's true." Ragna nodded.
"If we make a comparison to the ancient civilization, kings and emperors are people that commoners might not see in their entire lives. And now, not only are they able to be graced by their presences, they are also given sothing. With this, they can proudly say that they have eaten a burger that a Tier 9 gives, even if it's just a normal burger."
"Oh." Ragna nodded in understanding. "It's a bit exaggerating for the current civilization, but I can understand after that analogy."
While Jay was explaining, Albert ended up cutting the burger evenly for those six people, to the point where they revered him for doing such a favor. Ragna understood it more by the way they behaved.
"Still, to think that you would et a Tier 9 explorer. More importantly, it's that Mara Leverstrike." Aileen squinted her eyes.
"Is she that famous?" Ragna asked.
"Well, she was famous as soone whose thoughts couldn't be read. She did everything on a whim and went to all kinds of places without caring about other people's opinions. Unlike the others who usually made a 'base' in a certain place, she was like a wandering goddess."
"Oh." Ragna nodded in understanding.
Erwin had a smug smile. "Hehe. I'm good. That's all."
"You are not one to talk when you passed out the mont you saw her." Clovis added jokingly.
"I saw the 'Abyss!' Do you understand?" Erwin snarled.
"Yeah, yeah." Clovis shrugged.
"Pfft." Aileen chuckled.
"This is where you should back up your friend, captain! Look. She must be thinking that I was a fan and passed out because of happiness!" Erwin snorted.
"Fortunately, you didn't piss on your pants."
Erwin's eyebrows twitched as he tried to punch Clovis, only to be restrained by Aileen from behind.
"There, there. Don't get angry over every single thing." Aileen patted his chest.
Albert couldn't help but see the chemistry between Aileen and Erwin. With the addition of Mara, Erwin beca more and more pleasing to his eyes. Little did he know, Erwin was giving a thumbs up to Clovis inwardly.
Clovis turned to Albert, saying, "By the way, Sir Albert. Although we have taken a break for a bit, I think it's ti to change our strategy a little bit."
"Now that you ntion it…" Albert raised his head. "Since the Tier 6 and Tier 7 beasts have died, I think it's fine for us to clear the city."
"It's slightly different from our original plan, but I don't have any objections." Friday nodded while cracking his fingers.
