Clovis gradually opened his eyes, feeling refreshed.
The staff suddenly ca to him and opened his tube, bringing a towel for him.
"Thank you." Clovis nodded while coming out of the tube.
The staff didn't say anything, his face was still showing a shocked expression.
Clovis didn't know why, but he also saw so shocked faces in the past. Hence, he thought it wasn't anything special.
The doctor hurriedly ca to Clovis with a forced smile.
"Congratulations, you are the first. Do you feel anything uncomfortable?"
Clovis looked at his hands and body before shaking his head. "No. Everything is perfectly fine. I do feel I have gotten stronger."
The doctor asked, "Did you experience sothing unusual while absorbing the essence?"
"Mhmm? What do you an? Is there sothing wrong?" Clovis tilted his head in confusion.
"Please don't worry. We just want to confirm a few things." The doctor waved his hand.
Considering the last person who handled the super injection was a manager, he thought that such a person wouldn't go into detail. On the other hand, this person was a doctor, so he obviously handled it in a different way.
Clovis said, "There's nothing special. This is my second experience, so I get used to it pretty well."
"Are you sure?"
Clovis couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed by the doctor's persistence. It was as if sothing went wrong.
"Why do you keep asking ? Is there sothing wrong? I might be able to think of sothing if you tell about it."
The doctor scratched the back of his head, wondering whether he should tell Clovis about it. After so consideration, the doctor chose which one remained a secret and which one he should reveal.
"Your absorption rate spiked in the last ten minutes. Did you notice anything different during that ti?"
Clovis maintained his poker face. His sense of ti was a bit distorted during the injection, but he couldn't help but think about one possibility.
'Is it my perfect state? Is it able to increase my absorption rate? What is going on with this perfect state?' Clovis beca a bit more curious about his perfect state.
All this ti, he had been busy searching for a way to trigger his perfect state. But he had never really explored this kind of power.
He thought that he would find out sooner or later when he t his parents. Since his mother was a doctor and his father was a powerful expert, they might know sothing about it. If not, his grandfather might be able to explain it.
However, it seed that the perfect state was much more mysterious than he originally thought.
'The perfect state is able to increase the absorption rate. What does this an? The perfect state itself allows to activate the affinities of all evolution traits. Does that an the absorption rate is actually related to the evolution traits? Brain, Muscles, Bones, Blood, or Heart…'
There were a lot of questions in his head, but he chose to keep the perfect state a secret. He shook his head helplessly. "I can't recall anything. I felt like I just tried super hard at the last mont."
The doctor was a bit disappointed in his answer. "If that's the case, do you mind if I ask you a few questions? It's just going to be a couple questions, so it won't take long. Or do you want to wear your clothes first?"
"If it's not going to take long, you can ask now." Clovis confird it with a nod.
The doctor began to ask a couple of questions. While he was at it, Erwin gradually opened his eyes as he had finished absorbing the essence.
"Huu…" His tube was also unlocked the mont he was done as soone ca to him with a towel.
"Thank you." Erwin grabbed the towel while checking on his other teammates. To his surprise, Clovis was actually standing outside his tube nonchalantly.
"Oh. Erwin!" Clovis waved his hand. "Are you done?"
"Yeah. You haven't gone in yet? You better hurry up since it's going to take a long ti." Erwin nodded nonchalantly.
Just when he wanted to brag that he was the first, Clovis casually said, "I'm already done."
"You're done? What? You an you're done absorbing the essence?" Erwin furrowed his eyebrows.
"Yeah."
"20% on each of your evolution traits?"
"Yeah. All of them have increased by 20%." Clovis nodded. "Since it's my second injection, I can manage it better."
"Huh?" Erwin furrowed his eyebrows. He couldn't help but turn to the doctor and rush toward him.
"Erwin?" Clovis was startled. The doctor and the staff also didn't expect Erwin to suddenly move.
Erwin grasped the doctor's neck and lifted him up while shouting in anger, "You bastard! What have you done?!"
"W-Wha—!" The doctor grabbed Erwin's arm, struggling to break free. "You… what are you trying to do?"
"Erwin? What's going on? Why did you attack the doctor?" Clovis raised his stance, wondering if sothing had happened to Erwin.
Erwin finally understood the problem. He roared at the doctor. "Do you think you can handle the consequences of using a human as your experint?"
"Erwin. What's going on?" Clovis was completely confused.
"It seems that you don't know about it, but every single person has their own dosage. The absorbing speed is tied directly to your evolution rate. In other words, all the people on the team are supposed to have more than six tis your absorption speed. Even if your ntality is strong, it won't be weird for you to take at least four tis longer than us.
"Yet, you are done even faster than , who doesn't need a full 20%. What does that an?" Erwin was furious.
Clovis' body tensed up as if realizing sothing. The beasts actually increased a few tis, which might also be the result of what happened outside. And after listening to Erwin, there was only one possibility.
Erwin gritted his teeth before saying, "He is increasing the dosage only on you, which is completely breaking the rule. Not to ntion the fact that he didn't say anything about this. You have beco the subject of an experint without your knowing it."
