"Boss. One more bowl!" Clovis raised his hand while putting down his bowl.
"OK! Please wait for a mont." The old boss took out the noodle he had just boiled and put it in the bowl as all the toppings followed smoothly.
In less than thirty seconds, the waitress had already placed the bowl down on Clovis’ table.
"Oh, thank you." Clovis’ eyes flashed as he began eating the food.
Surprisingly, the boss, who had been holed up inside the kitchen, suddenly ca forward, asking, "I’m glad you like it, Custor."
"This is good, Boss. It’s just that I never thought that a restaurant like this would be so empty. Ah, I don’t an to be rude." Clovis looked around. There was no custor beside him. So, it would be weird for a small store, with food better than anything he had eaten, to be this deserted.
Then again, he could understand because the store location was inside a dark alley, looking so shady that if Clovis were a normal person, he wouldn’t have even entered this place.
The problem was that the boss himself felt like he could kill Clovis at any mont. Even the waitress was actually a Tier 6 human.
Clovis knew this place was extraordinary, but he first t them when he was searching for food after arriving here. And he ended up in front of the alley when the boss was about to open his shop. Since the other party had offered him sothing to eat, he decided to accept his generosity.
The problem was that this was already the second ti he had eaten in this place.
"Ahahaha. I don’t mind it. I serve custors who are fated to be with ." The boss laughed. "Why are you coming to this city? Sightseeing?"
"Not really." Clovis shrugged. "You can say it’s for business purposes."
"A young man like you visiting this place for business... It’s good to be ambitious." The boss nodded in agreent.
"Besides, Boss. Why are you coming out of your kitchen? What would happen if I wanted another bowl?" Clovis asked.
"Really? I believe you’re already full." The boss smiled; his discerning eyes judged that Clovis was already full.
"Hahaha. That’s indeed true. I don’t think I can eat another bowl here. But maybe I should order takeout." Clovis grinned.
The boss looked surprised before laughing out loud. "Hahahaha. You’re indeed an interesting young man."
"Well, I’m honored. Though, is that deal still up, Boss?" Clovis asked while pointing at the poster.
[Food Challenge.]
[Bring any ingredients that the boss hasn’t experienced. If the boss fails to identify the ingredients, the custor will receive 10,000,000 union dollars. If the boss succeeds, the boss will get the right to the entire ingredient.]
The boss nodded. "Of course. I have been traveling around the world, butchering all the beasts that have been known in the world. If you can do it, I will definitely pay you ten million."
"So, that’s real. You might want to change your poster, Boss. I might empty your bank account."
The boss was dumbfounded. He never thought Clovis would claim he had the ability to prove it not only once but so many tis to the point where he would empty his bank account.
The boss squinted his eyes. "Young man. While we are fated, that kind of statent is not sothing to be taken lightly, especially for a chef."
"I’m pretty sure." Clovis nodded. "Let’s see... the reason I say those words is simply because I’m intrigued by your cooking, Boss. A cooking that lets you increase your evolution progress..."
"!!!" The boss raised his eyebrows before crossing his arms. "So, you choose to investigate ?"
"At first, I’m curious. I feel sothing more in your cooking. In addition, from your storages, I notice multiple ingredients across many tiers.
"There are only three nus here: fried rice, ran, and steak. However, it doesn’t imply anything about the type of at or anything.
"After seeing you choose Tier 5 at for , I felt curious and checked it. It was there that I found out your identity.
"The Master of All Ingredients, Wandering Chef, Dnanta Len." Clovis scratched the back of his head. "Though, I apologize if my curiosity ends up making you uncomfortable."
The boss’s face turned stern. "This is not the first ti I have been investigated. Though I have never thought you are fated to be my custor, Clovis Hacfield. However, for what reason are you talking about this with ?
"I’m sure you know I don’t work for anyone, even if it’s a Tier 9 human."
Clovis shook his head. "You misunderstand. I never have the intention to recruit you. I’m rely revealing my curiosity. You must have your own considerations, so I won’t say anything about it. I’m rely curious about that deal."
Actually, Clovis was curious about the fact that his food could increase evolution. In other words, the at still contained essence.
Normally, the essence would have been burned away during cooking. So good chefs could retain that essence to a certain extent, but this chef not only retained 100% of the essence, but it also looked like the effect increased more than the supposed number.
The boss before him was one of the two top chefs in the world, Dnanta Len. He wondered what would happen if this guy cooked with his raw ingredients that could boost the evolution rate that disregarded the number of a person’s evolution rate.
"Hmm?" The boss fell into deep thought. "Fine by . Show your ingredients. However, if you are going to disappoint with this confidence, it might be the end of our fated encounter, young man."
"If that’s truly the case, that will be a sha. My stomach has been conquered by your cooking." Clovis smiled wryly.
"Hahahahaha! Bold. I like it. However, let’s get down to business, shall we?"
"Sure." Clovis grabbed a paper bag he had put on the side of the table and took out a chicken nugget package. Of course, this wasn’t a normal chicken nugget. It was a cockatrice nugget. "How about this?"
"Are you mocking my father? To think you are giving him a packaged nugget like this? Do you think because my father has seen all the raw ingredients that he can’t recognize a package like this?!" The waitress slamd the table, expressing her anger.
However, the boss himself fell silent. There was no sign of anger at being insulted on his face. He fell silent as though he had noticed sothing different from the package. "May I... open it?"
"!!!"
