Monday 23 December 1991

Jas Yoel, a U.S. resident, had been living in Japan for business purposes since late 1990. Over ti, he had grown to love Japanese culture, entertainnt, and especially its arcade machines. Now, in late 1991, as he prepared to return ho to the United States, there was one thing he desperately wished to bring back with him: ZEPS from ZAGE.

The first ti Jas saw ZEPS on a ZAGE flyer, he was imdiately captivated. Without hesitation, he bought the console and every ga available. He couldn't believe how incredible the system was, and the thought of it not being available in the U.S. frustrated him. He firmly believed that ZEPS had the potential to dominate the Arican market. However, he also knew that ZAGE, while growing fast, wasn't yet a global powerhouse. If he waited too long, they might expand to the U.S. on their own, bypassing any opportunity for his company to be part of the process. Determined, Jas decided he would persuade his boss to secure a distribution deal before it was too late.

After a long flight, Jas finally arrived back in the U.S., carrying 2 ZEPS consoles and a collection of gas with him. Without wasting any ti, he headed straight to his company, Erald Wings Distribution, an Arican firm specializing in bringing Japanese products to the U.S. market. Bursting with excitent, he marched into the office of his boss and close friend, Ryan Miller.

"Ryan! You need to see this shit, man!" Jas exclaid as he barged in.

Ryan raised an eyebrow, surprised by his friend's excitent. "What's going on, Jas? What's got you this hyped?"

Jas wasted no ti unpacking his suitcase, pulling out a sleek black and gray box. He quickly connected it to the CRT TV in Ryan's office and handed him a controller. "Try it, bro! I bet you're gonna love it."

Curious, Ryan grabbed the controller as Jas booted up Excitebike on the ZEPS. Jas gave him a quick rundown on the controls, and within minutes, Ryan was completely engrossed in the ga. After several rounds, he finally looked up, his eyes wide with surprise.

"Damn! What is this? Where did you get it? Is this a new Atari console? I thought they quit making consoles after the crash!" Ryan asked, clearly impressed.

Jas grinned. "That's the thing, man! This isn't Atari. This is ZEPS, a console made in Japan by a company called ZAGE! It's the hottest thing over there right now, and trust , it's gonna be HUGE here, too!"

Ryan leaned back, processing the information. "So, you're telling this is Japan's answer to the console market? And you want to bring it here?"

"Hell yes, Ryan! We need to strike a deal with ZAGE and distribute ZEPS in the U.S. before soone else does! If we wait too long, either a competitor will beat us to it, or worse, ZAGE will expand on their own without needing a distributor. This is a golden opportunity, and we have to act fast!"

Ryan could see the passion in Jas' eyes. It was rare to see him this fired up about sothing. He tapped his fingers on his desk, deep in thought. "Alright, Jas. I'll let you handle the negotiations. But let be clear—you can't offer them an expensive deal. We're still growing, and we can't afford to take a massive risk."

Jas shook his head and groaned. "No way! That's not gonna work. We need to offer them the best possible deal to gain their trust. If we lowball them, they'll see right through us and refuse. We have to make sure they see us as the best choice for their Arican expansion."

Ryan sighed, knowing Jas had a point. "Alright, fine. But this is on you. If you screw this up, we're in deep shit, man."

Jas smirked. "Don't worry about it! I'll handle everything. I'll even use my own money for travel and business expenses. Just sit tight, and soon enough, Erald Wings and ZAGE will be partners!"

Ryan exhaled and nodded. "Alright, Jas. I'll hold you to that."

Jas grinned. "Oh, and that ZEPS? That's for you! Play as much as you want, man."

Ryan chuckled. "You bet I will."

With that, Jas headed ho for a much-needed rest before booking his trip back to Japan. This ti, he wouldn't just be visiting—he'd be negotiating to bring ZEPS to the United States.
