Another world Game Developers in Japans 1991 Chapter 136 - 125: Preparation for Z-Man Sentai Game AD
Tuesday, December 24, 1991
Zaboru sat in his office, deep in thought. Today was a crucial day—he was planning to record the the song for Choujin Sentai Z-Man, a song adapted from Jetman, one of his favorite Sentai thes from his previous life. Of course, he couldn't just copy it directly, so he made so tweaks, refining the lody and lyrics to fit Z-Man. This song wouldn't just be for the ga—it would also serve as the main track for the TV comrcial he was preparing.
With the holiday season in full swing because of Christmas and New year on the way, now was the perfect ti to launch an advertisent. He had already asked Shinsuke to book a TV ad slot, and he had also hired professional costu makers and a top-tier comrcial production team to ensure that everything looked as authentic as possible. He had a clear vision for this—Z-Man needed to feel like a true Sentai experience, not just another ga.
But for the comrcial to work, the gaplay needed to be polished enough for a proper showcase. Thankfully, Z-Man was already around 50% complete, so Zaboru and the ZAGE team had been focusing on refining key sections for the advertisent. They made sure the footage highlighted each of the Sentai mbers in action and even included a sneak peek of the cha battles. It wouldn't be the full experience just yet, but it would be enough to get people hyped.
Over the past few weeks, Zaboru had put serious effort into studying music. Thanks to his enhanced cognitive abilities because of his Enlgihtnt, he had learned music composition faster than most. By now, he fully understood music notes and arrangent, allowing him to recreate the Jetman the while making it even better. He enhanced the instruntal sections, adding an advanced solo guitar part that made the song feel even more energetic and heroic.
At the recording studio, everything was set. He had assembled a team of skilled musicians: a bass player, a keyboardist, a drumr, and a backup guitarist. Zaboru himself would take the lead on the electric guitar.
"Alright, guys, ready?" he asked, gripping his guitar. The others gave him a thumbs-up.
"Three... Two... One... Go!"
The intro blasted through the studio speakers as the recording session began.
Jetto! (x2) Jettoman!
Retsu Gō!! Tobidase, ō!
Jetto! (x2) Jettoman!
Chōjin Sentai Jettoman!
The powerful rhythm, the driving guitar riffs, and the energetic drum beats filled the room. Zaboru grinned as he played, feeling the music take shape. Every instrunt ca together perfectly, the solo guitar soaring above the rest. They played through the song multiple tis, making minor adjustnts to perfect the mix. After several hours of intense recording, the final version was complete.
Zaboru leaned back in his chair, listening to the playback. "This... is perfect."
Satisfied, he left the studio and returned to the ZAGE office, ready to tackle the next part of his plan—the comrcial.
Back at his desk, Zaboru leaned forward, scribbling down notes for the advertisent. He wanted it to capture the Sentai spirit—dynamic, exciting, and full of action.
"Alright... First, we start with the ZAGE logo, followed by an association with TOEI..." he murmured to himself as he wrote.
Then the the song would kick in, playing over dramatic shots of five actors dressed in full Choujin Sentai Z-Man costus. They would strike powerful poses, standing in front of an explosive background effect while shouting in unison:
'Choujin Sentai Z-Man!'
After that, the comrcial would transition into gaplay footage, showcasing each Sentai mber in action. The narration would highlight the ga's features—team-based combat, unique weapons, transformation sequences, and of course, cha battles. The actors in costu would stand beside the gaplay footage, reacting with dramatic gestures, as if watching the action unfold in real ti.
For the grand finale, the leader, Z-Man Red, would step forward, pointing directly at the screen and delivering the final line:
"Buy ZAGE's Choujin Sentai Z-Man! Available now!"
Zaboru leaned back, nodding to himself. Yeah... this is gonna be aweso.
With the plan finalized, it was ti to execute. The comrcial production team would need to build the set, the costus had to be finalized, and the gaplay footage needed to be polished. It would take a few weeks of hard work, but once it was ready, Choujin Sentai Z-Man would be everywhere.
And with that, Zaboru went back to refining both Z-Man and his SpongeBob ga. The year was about to end, but for him, things were just getting started.
