Tuesday, February 18, 1992

With the February release date approaching, the ZAGE team was busier than ever. The new office building adjacent to their current headquarters was finally ready for use, marking a major milestone in the company's expansion. Excitent buzzed through the halls as employees settled into the fresh workspace, setting up their desks and familiarizing themselves with their new environnt. The building had been designed with efficiency in mind, featuring open workspaces, improved eting rooms, and dedicated areas for ga testing.

Zaboru walked through the newly furnished halls, inspecting every detail. He wanted everything to be perfect. The workspace was more than just an office—it was a declaration of ZAGE's growing influence in the gaming industry. As he stepped into the main developnt floor, he noted the blend of experienced staff and eager new hires, all working diligently to bring ZAGE's next projects to life.

While ZAGE welcod many new employees, the company also faced a noticeable wave of departures. A portion of their workforce had accepted offers from Sonaya, lured by higher salaries and enticing benefits of Sonaya offer. However, the majority of employees chose to stay with ZAGE, recognizing the company's long-term vision and potential for growth. To reward their loyalty, Zaboru and the managent team adjusted contracts, adding a no-competitor clause and increasing salaries significantly, ensuring that ZAGE remained an attractive workplace.

To maintain productivity, Zaboru instructed the new hires to focus on settling in first before they were assigned to specific departnts based on HR recomndations. The company was prioritizing hires for R&D, PC ga developnt, and replacents for those who had left for Sonaya at the end of the month. Over the next week, ZAGE would finalize departntal assignnts and bring the workforce up to speed with ongoing projects.

As Zaboru reviewed his upcoming projects, a sudden realization hit him—Tetris did not exist in this world! In his previous life, Tetris had been created in 1985, which would be the equivalent of 1995 in this tiline. Recognizing the ga's tiless appeal and addictive chanics, he saw an opportunity to introduce it early. Without hesitation, he decided that Tetris would be one of ZAGE's major April releases, perfectly complenting the already planned launch of Yugo Gas.

Excited by the prospect of bringing such an iconic ga to life, he quickly sketched out plans to develop Tetris, ensuring that it would be polished and optimized for ZAGE's platforms. He envisioned marketing it as a simple yet endlessly engaging puzzle ga, perfect for casual gars and hardcore players alike. Additionally, he considered expanding it beyond the traditional single-player mode, perhaps adding a multiplayer mode where players could challenge each other in real-ti, making it even more competitive.

As Zaboru finalized his plans for Tetris, another thought struck him—physical card gas. he found sothing interesting—there was a hanafuda card-making company called Ninzendo! It was essentially this world's equivalent of Nintendo, yet it had never ventured beyond traditional card gas.. In his previous life, Nintendo had started as a hanafuda card manufacturer in the early 1900s before evolving into a gaming giant. However, in this world, its equivalent company, Ninzendo, had never transitioned beyond its original hanafuda card business.

Curious about why Ninzendo had stagnated while other major entertainnt companies had progressed, Zaboru dug deeper. The company had been founded in 1950 and had maintained steady but unimpressive business operations ever since. Unlike in his previous world, where Nintendo's innovative leadership had pushed the company to evolve, Ninzendo seed content with rely sustaining itself.

Seizing the opportunity, Zaboru made a swift and compelling offer to acquire Ninzendo. The current owner, showing little resistance, accepted the offer without much negotiation. With that, Zaboru now owned Ninzendo, securing a foothold in the physical card ga market for his next major venture. He began brainstorming ways to modernize the brand.

He have big plans for Physical card gas in future.

Sitting in his office, Zaboru leaned back in his chair, deep in thought. "Why did Ninzendo regress differently from other major entertainnt companies in this world?" he pondered. "In my previous life, Nintendo transford from a small card company into a gaming empire, but here, they've remained stuck in the past. What happened?"

Despite the mystery, he knew that the acquisition was a strategic win. He would keep Ninzendo's hanafuda card business running for now while formulating plans to modernize and expand its product line.

A grin spread across his face as he turned back to his work. Ninzendo secured, and with ZAGE's employee restructuring in progress, he was laying the groundwork for another ambitious phase of expansion. But first, he needed to focus on the imdiate goal—preparing for the highly anticipated February 22 ga releases.

He had to ensure that ZAGE's releases made a lasting impact. If all went according to plans.
