Zaboru stood tall under the event lights, a sly smile on his face as he turned to Endo. "So, are you ready to race ?" he asked, voice echoing slightly through the helt.
Endo gulped. There was sothing overwhelming about Zaboru's presence—a pressure that felt heavier than any opponent he'd ever faced. Still, he nodded. "I'll do my best."
Zaboru turned to the crowd. "Alright everyone! What do you think? Will I take the win? Or will our champion Endo defeat ?!"
The audience erupted in chants of "Zaboru! Zaboru! Zaboru!" while others shouted Endo's na in support. The energy was electric.
Zaboru walked calmly to the competition seat, flashing Endo a confident grin. "Ready when you are."
Yumi, Zaboru's secretary, stepped forward as the temporary MC, her voice echoing through the mic with a mix of energy and nervousness. "Alright everyone, it's ti for the final exhibition match! Who will take the crown? Our reigning champion Endo with his formidable Endo-F1, or the legendary Zaboru Renkonan with his... umm... Zaboru-san, what car will you be using today?"
The audience burst into laughter at Yumi's awkward pause, her endearing stumble only adding to the charm of the mont.
Zaboru tapped his Controller , smirking. "Zabo-Man ZABO RC."
A wave of confusion spread across the audience.
"Wait, what?! Isn't ZABO RC just a joke car?!"
"Yeah! The stats look good, but the ultimate ability is trash! That jump move is completely uncontrollable!"
"He's trolling, right?"
Back at the booth, Endo stared at Zaboru in disbelief. 'He picked ZABO RC? Why? Is he throwing this race? I've tried that car lot of ti before. I couldn't get it to work at all... What is he planning?'
Yumi laughed nervously. "Well, that's definitely unexpected! Zaboru is going with the infamous ZABO RC! Is he just here for fun, or does this quirky car actually have hidden potential we haven't seen yet?" She paused, then raised her hand dramatically. "Alright then, without further ado, let's begin the race!"
The lights dimd and the countdown began. The crowd leaned forward, anticipation thick in the air.
Three... Two... One... GO!
Endo shot forward, his Endo-F1 taking the early lead as expected. Zaboru, with his ZABO RC, followed closely behind. Despite the car's reputation, he maneuvered it with surprising finesse.
The first steep turn approached. Endo drifted with ease, confident in his control. But then, to everyone's shock, Zaboru mimicked the move perfectly.
"Whoa! Zaboru just pulled off a drift with ZABO RC?!" Yumi shouted, astonished. "Who would have thought he could make such an advanced move with that car?!"
The audience roared with amazent.
Lap after lap, the two racers remained neck and neck. Zaboru trailed Endo just enough to keep the pressure on without exposing himself.
As the final lap approached, Endo took a deep breath. 'Now or never.' He activated his F-1's Energy Shield, intending to force Zaboru to back off and secure his lead with one last clean drift.
Zaboru slowed slightly, but instead of holding back, he did sothing no one expected.
"ZABO JUMP!" he called out, triggering his car's infamous worthless special ability.
The ZABO RC launched into the air like a missile.
"What the—?!" Endo gasped.
With pinpoint precision, Zaboru angled the jump mid-air and landed the ZABO RC directly on top of Endo's Endo-F1 as they exited the turn. Endo's car was crushed and thrown off course, his system forced to restart.
The entire audience erupted.
"Did you SEE that?!"
"He used the ZABO JUMP as an aerial attack! That was insane! its really need great precision!"
Yumi was nearly breathless. "Ladies and gentlen, I don't believe what I just saw! A perfectly executed air maneuver from Zaboru using ZABO RC! And it worked!"
Zaboru crossed the finish line to thunderous applause.
Endo, recovering from the shock, let out a breathless laugh. Despite the loss, he couldn't stop smiling.
Zaboru turned to him with a warm smile. "Great play, Endo. You're strong. And more importantly... you're very cool."
Endo's eyes lit up upon hearing the iconic phrase. Coming from Zaboru, it felt like the ultimate badge of honor.
Zaboru took the mic from Yumi, addressing the buzzing crowd. "And that, everyone, concludes our racing events! Our champion fought well, but it seems I'm still too strong! Hahaha!"
The audience laughed and clapped.
"Now, let's take a short 10-minute break. Please enjoy the food and drinks prepared for you! When we return, we'll dive into the final event—the ZAGE Quizzes!"
The crowd slowly dispersed to the refreshnt stands, buzzing about the race.
Behind the scenes, the ZAGE crew finalized preparations for the quiz event. Twenty participants had been selected in advance through a series of trivia questions and mini challenges.
Among the chosen were familiar faces: Sakaki, Kumogi, Sawada, Wataru, Yoko, and Takayuki. Endo seems to Join too and there also a unexpected participant too.
The quiz would test not just ga knowledge, but true loyalty to ZAGE and its universe. Only the sharpest minds and most devoted fans would rise to the top.
With the racing adrenaline still lingering in the air and the scent of snacks wafting through the venue, everyone knew the next Chapter of the event would be just as unforgettable.
