Right now, many USA TV channels are airing the live show from Microsoft. The broadcast wasn't just confined to tech networks — it was showing up on mainstream channels, capturing the attention of a wide audience. The show itself was about the Windows 94 showcase. This ti, Bill Gates was using a special entertainnt booth in New York, complete with banners, demo stations, and a live audience, to host the Windows 94 showcase. The event was making people in the computer and tech world very excited, with newspapers and magazines hyping it up for weeks because leaks had suggested Windows 94 would offer many features that would exceed expectations and push personal computing into a new era.
Bill Gates had invited many tech giant CEOs to attend the showcase, and many quickly arrived — even Hikaru Kurata, CEO and major shareholder of Sonaya, was attending the event. The room buzzed with chatter as CEOs exchanged greetings, so curious to et old rivals, others eager to glimpse the upcoming innovations. Hikaru adjusted his cufflinks thoughtfully, watching the stage with a guarded expression.
The showcase began, and Bill Gates was on stage together with Jay Leno, a hugely popular host back in the day. Bill Gates enthusiastically explained many of the exciting new features coming in Windows 94, such as the Start nu button and taskbar — both designed to make navigation more intuitive — and the ability to give files long nas, breaking free from the old 8-character limit. But the real highlight was the Plug and Play feature, which was a big deal at the ti! Plug and Play allowed Windows to automatically detect and configure hardware like printers, sound cards, and mice without the user having to wrestle with complicated driver installations. It also ca bundled with easy-to-use networking features, making ho and office connectivity much simpler and opening doors for collaboration and online possibilities.
Also, Windows 94 had a more user-friendly UI compared to previous versions, with smoother icons, easier navigation, and cleaner nus, which made the audience excited. People in the crowd were visibly impressed, nodding along and exchanging comnts about how approachable the system looked even for non-tech users. And the fact that this was a 32-bit OS ant Windows 94 could still run 16-bit software — backward compatibility was a nice bonus that gave people confidence their old programs wouldn't suddenly beco useless.
Finally, the event reached its video ga section.
Jay Leno said, "Bill, do you play gas?" Bill Gates nodded with a grin, "Yeah, I love playing gas from ti to ti." Jay leaned forward with a playful smirk, "So what's Windows 94's take on gaming? Does it have improvents?" Bill Gates nodded enthusiastically, "Obviously we do. In Windows 94, there's sothing called DirectX. Basically, DirectX is a software layer — a set of tools — that helps gas and multidia programs communicate with the computer's hardware, like the graphics card, sound card, and joystick, in a faster and easier way. And it's already been tested; we hired so professionals to create gas with DirectX, and the results were very satisfying." Jay raised an eyebrow, intrigued, "Ooh, professionals? Who is it?" Bill Gates smiled warmly and said, "Well, why don't we let the guy show you himself? Please welco the man behind ZAGE, Zaboru Renkonan."
The door opened, and Zaboru appeared, wearing a sharp black suit, his smile calm and confident as he bowed slightly to the audience. The crowd erupted into applause, especially the gars, so of whom even stood up, cheering with clear excitent. anwhile, people who knew Zaboru personally, like Hikaru Kurata, frowned slightly, arms crossed. I can't believe Bill Gates made Zaboru a guest like that, Hikaru thought, shaking his head slightly but deciding to let things unfold and see where it led He already knew that Microsoft was collaborating with ZAGE, but to see Zaboru appear on stage like this at the Microsoft Windows 94 presentation? He had never expected it.
Zaboru approached Bill Gates and Jay and said, "Hello, Bill. Hello, Jay."
Jay grinned, "Whoa, I see — very professional indeed, Bill! You literally brought the video ga savior himself!" Zaboru raised an eyebrow with a faint smirk, "Video ga savior? ? Where did that nickna co from?" Jay laughed lightly, "Well, you're known by that nickna, Zaboru. Right, everyone?" Jay asked the crowd, and many in the crowd shouted, "Yeah!" and clapped enthusiastically. Zaboru chuckled, shaking his head modestly, "I'm flattered, but I'm not that impressive. Anyway, let's get back on track, shall we?"
Bill Gates chuckled and said, "Well, very modest indeed. Let's hear it, savior of video gas." The audience laughed softly, and Zaboru sighed with a playful shake of his head. "All right, all right. Okay, now — we at ZAGE have already been using DirectX to create our first-ever ga that will be released on Windows 94. It's also could be start of a new era for PC gas, and the ga's na is Diablo."
Zaboru went to the PC and showed Diablo gaplay. "This Diablo ga is ZAGE's newest title, fully created using DirectX as a tool, which makes the gaplay smoother and more responsive." The cara zood in on Zaboru's gaplay — he was playing as a sorcerer, launching bursts of fla at a horde of enemies, the screen filled with dynamic spell effects and detailed animations. "As you can see, even with this many enemies on-screen, Windows 94 can handle it pretty well — though, to be fair, part of that is thanks to this PC's superior specs." His fingers moved confidently across the controls, showing off not just the ga but his own skill, drawing cheers and impressed murmurs from the audience.
Zaboru kept playing, and the audience was srized by the gaplay. "PC ga developers can now create their gas more easily with DirectX from Windows 94. It opens many possibilities for PC ga developers," he explained, his voice steady and confident. The cara zood in as he navigated a tricky section, casting spells and dodging attacks, drawing even more cheers from the crowd. Zaboru continued for a bit, showing off different chanics, then smiled warmly before wrapping up. "Okay, Bill, Jay — that's it. I'm off for now, okay?" Bill Gates chuckled, "Haha, thanks a lot for that, Zaboru."
Then he turned back to the audience. "As you can see, we at Microsoft are also focused on the gaming sector because we believe gaming is a huge part of technological advancent. But we weren't confident about creating gas ourselves, so we asked for help from ZAGE to make gas for Windows 94 — and here it is, Diablo. It really surprised how well this ga turned out."
Jay then asked Bill, "Impressive ! But why was Zaboru in such a hurry?" Bill Gates chuckled, "I don't know, maybe he wanted to play more Diablo? It's only been a week since he gave the Diablo ga, and already almost all my employees at Microsoft are playing it. It's such a good ga — even I play it myself." Bill chuckled again, making Jay grin. "Well, that makes interested! I'll definitely buy it when it's out on the market!" The audience grew even more curious about Diablo, especially the gars, who were now visibly excited. Bill Gates had just given Zaboru's ga a priceless mont of free promotion.
The showcase continued for a while, ending with a blast — fireworks lit up the night sky in a dazzling display, reflecting off the city buildings and drawing cheers from the crowd. Laughter, applause, and cara flashes filled the air as people soaked in the excitent. Now, Windows 94 will officially be released to the public tomorrow, and the buzz in the air was undeniable.
