Black Birch followed Black Leaf, commanding the Blue Soldiers and activating water system abilities to wash the massive stone pot used for cooking, boiling up a broth.
To welco the new spring, they were holding a celebratory banquet.
All Blue Soldiers, Soldier Ants, and Worker Ants would attend, to pump everyone up for the work of the coming year.
Dragon Cypress, Ink Orchid, Spruce, Snakebark Maple, and Round Cypress lounged around the pot, chatting and relaxing.
Suddenly,
The White Poplar Divine-Given Seed sent out a spiritual mind-call: "Dragon Cypress—"
"Hm?"
Dragon Cypress turned slightly, raising its tentacles in reply.
White Poplar said uncertainly, "I think I might... be able to blossom and bear fruit?"
