The second thod was to consu more Divine-Given Origin Force Food specialized in enhancing the Freezing Ability to strengthen it. The third thod was to practice tirelessly, pushing the Freezing Ability to its limits through sheer effort.
Dragon Cypress preferred the first thod and was sowhat reluctant to use the second. As the Insect King evolved, the requirent for Origin Force Food in each Age Period was no longer incrental. The amount of Origin Force Food enhancent that could be utilized in each Age Period was limited. If calculated using ordinary Origin Force Food, this quota, when converted into Source Stones, was only 20,000,000. If converted into Divine-Given Origin Force Food, it was about 80,000,000. The space for enhancent was extrely limited.
Before I condense Divine Marks, I should avoid Origin Force Food if I can, Dragon Cypress resolved. I'll try to achieve my goals through other ans, like Divine-Grade Fruit or personal training. During the first Age Period of the Insect King, I need to reserve as much of the Origin Force Food enhancent quota as possible for the Thunder System in the next Age Period. I must start considering the condensation of Thunder System Divine Marks for the second Age Period now.
Each year, Dragon Cypress listened in on the exchanges between Snow Velvet Spider King and Red Peach, learning about many Divine-Grade Fruits produced in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
It's quite frustrating that, so far, neither Snow Velvet nor White Ivy seem to have mastered an appropriate Divine-Grade Fruit that can impart snow and ice abilities, Dragon Cypress thought. I need to find a way to ask other Insect Kings. The most frustrating thing is, there's still no news from Snow Velvet Spider King, and I can't get the Divine-Grade Rosy Fruit that the Heavenly Frost Remnants Realm desperately needs...
According to his plan, Dragon Cypress aid to condense three Divine Marks in each Age Period. But this first one is proving incredibly difficult. The second Divine Mark I planned, "Frost Thorn," is even harder.
After decades of diligent practice, Dragon Cypress could instantly cover his body with a thin frost and construct fine Frost Thorns to enhance his defense. From the outside, he successfully simulated the "Frost Thorn" Talent Ability of the Shield Grasshopper Warrior. In reality, however, it provided no defensive ability and shattered upon touch. It was a re facade, mimicking only the "form" of the ability, unable to replicate the superb defensive power of the actual Frost Thorn Ability.
Dragon Cypress had also successfully integrated the Hydrology Shield. But the Hydrology Shield's defensive ability was inherently weak, always breaking with a single poke; it wasn't ant for counteracting attacks. The combination of this "pseudo-Frost Thorn" and the "Hydrology Shield" failed to form an effective defense.
Dragon Cypress also possessed a powerful Water System Defense Ability nad "Phantom Reflection." This ability indeed had strong defense, but it had to remain flat and planar; it could not change shape. Once altered, it would lose its defensive effect. Dragon Cypress had tried countless tis and eventually confird that Phantom Reflection did not blend well with Frost Thorn; the two abilities could not be combined.
He needed another, more practical and effective Water System Defense Ability. But during his breakthrough to King-Level, he had not comprehended such an ability, nor had he heard of any Divine-Grade Fruit that could grant this type of power.
The "Frost Thorn" path isn't working out, Dragon Cypress decided. I'll give up on it and just devise sothing more powerful myself... As for the third Water System Divine Mark, it absolutely has to be Refinent!
There's also an extrely crucial question, Dragon Cypress pondered. If I manage to condense a single Water System "Heavenly Frost Remnants Realm" Divine Mark, can this Divine Mark Ability be passed down to the Blue Soldiers? Traditional Ant Kings and Bee Kings can do this. The Soldier Ants they breed won't have Divine Marks, but they can inherit so of the Divine Mark Ability, which is far more powerful than ordinary abilities. But I'm not sure if the ants bred by the Dominating Throne can.
The most crucial aspect of an Insect King's growth and evolution was its Divine Mark Abilities. Dragon Cypress faced many such problems and pondered these ability-related issues in the Areca Rainforest for five days.
On the sixth day, in the middle of the night, the Divine-Given Seed of the Island Banyan suddenly transmitted intense Origin Force Fluctuations.
"Dragon Cypress!" Spikemoss called out with his spiritual power. "Black Birch! Black Sophora!"
But there was no need for Spikemoss to remind them; such a huge commotion had awakened everyone.
Black Birch and Black Sophora rushed to their respective stations, shaking their Tentacles and issuing commands. The startled Worker Ants sprang into action, carrying Source Stones in their mandibles, standing by on the spot.
Centered around the main trunk of the Island Banyan's Divine-Given Seed, an Origin Force vacuum rapidly spread. As it approached a radius of 300 ters, the Worker Ants uniformly crushed their Source Stones. They released Origin Force and, in a well-organized manner, kept the Origin Force vacuum suppressed within that 300-ter radius.
At this ti, the Soul Consciousness of the Island Banyan was awakening. It realized it had reached the crucial mont for its breakthrough to King-Level. After enduring the strain for a while and feeling weak, it could no longer bear it and activated the Primordial Energy stored inside its Glinting Gold.
The Origin Force vacuum range suddenly contracted, rapidly shrinking until it abruptly stopped at a 100-ter radius.
"Dragon Cypress?" Spikemoss's thoughts reached out. "Great King?"
Black Birch and Black Sophora also sent ntal inquiries.
Dragon Cypress instructed, "Do not skimp on the Source Stones. Move forward another hundred ters and continue to deploy them."
The Worker Ants began to move.
The intense Origin Force Fluctuations continued until dawn, gradually calming down.
The Island Banyan's ntal presence expanded, and it joyfully yet wearily greeted them in order, "Dragon Cypress, Spikemoss, Black Birch, Black Sophora, Elephant Orchid, Rift Leaf, I have successfully broken through to King-Level."
"No need to tell us," Elephant Orchid said.
"We know," Rift Leaf affird.
"Too slow," Elephant Orchid complained.
"Slow," Rift Leaf agreed.
"You've had us on pins and needles for days," Elephant Orchid continued.
"Damn Soul Bond," Rift Leaf muttered. "If the Banyan were gone, we would all be finished..."
"Quiet!" Dragon Cypress rebuked them sharply with his spiritual power. "Elephant Orchid, Rift Leaf, both of you quiet down!" He then inquired, "Island Banyan, is the Primordial Energy stored in your Glinting Gold all used up?"
The Island Banyan replied, "...It's used up."
Dragon Cypress, controlling the Dominating Throne, flew forward. He raised his claw and said, "Give the Glinting Gold to . I need to rush it to Molan Mountain for Senior Orchid Mantis to use."
